[04:35.840 --> 04:44.120]  Okay, if you've been looking at the news you will, most of you will probably be aware
[04:44.120 --> 04:55.760]  that Governor Perry today went to a hearing in Austin and argued his issue.
[04:55.760 --> 05:04.920]  I tried to find the specifics of what they were talking about, but the news reports said
[05:04.920 --> 05:13.640]  that, okay let me back up a little bit, when the first response to the indictments by Perry's
[05:13.640 --> 05:25.520]  lawyers were that the statute as applied in this particular case was unconstitutional
[05:25.520 --> 05:31.080]  as it applies specifically to this application of the statute.
[05:31.080 --> 05:41.680]  They're going for a very narrow ruling and this is frankly an issue that what I found
[05:41.680 --> 05:49.160]  in there were issues that we've been talking about on the air for several years now and
[05:49.160 --> 05:52.800]  those are things we've been trying to cure.
[05:52.800 --> 06:02.000]  This particular situation is kind of perfect to demonstrate why the remedies that we are
[06:02.000 --> 06:06.880]  looking for are necessary.
[06:06.880 --> 06:14.200]  And it's not just that they're necessary, they're already in the law.
[06:14.200 --> 06:24.000]  What we're asking for is not for some new statute or new rule or regulation to be implemented
[06:24.000 --> 06:31.040]  to give us remedy we don't already have, we've already got it.
[06:31.040 --> 06:39.160]  The problem is they're not following it and I'm hoping that with them pulling this kind
[06:39.160 --> 06:46.200]  of thing on Governor Perry, he may actually fight the issue unlike Tom DeLay.
[06:46.200 --> 06:55.440]  When they did this to Tom DeLay, they refused to fight it and I suspect that there was a
[06:55.440 --> 07:03.680]  reason for that in that I suspect Tom DeLay had made a deal with these guys that they would
[07:03.680 --> 07:11.400]  prosecute him for this minor issue, a relatively minor issue and not go after him for the really
[07:11.400 --> 07:19.640]  rotten stuff he had been doing because I even took the habeas that I wrote in the Tom DeLay
[07:19.640 --> 07:28.560]  case and put it in Tom DeLay's hand at the trial and they refused to fight in Tom DeLay
[07:28.560 --> 07:34.440]  when I put it in his hand because he had a deal nobody knew about and this ran the potential
[07:34.440 --> 07:36.240]  of screwing up his deal.
[07:36.240 --> 07:40.760]  But anyway, didn't get it fixed there.
[07:40.760 --> 07:45.200]  Now with them doing the same thing to Perry, maybe we'll get a chance to get it fixed and
[07:45.200 --> 07:54.200]  Perry demonstrates more than Tom DeLay the reason why the laws are written the way they
[07:54.200 --> 07:59.880]  are and it's to prevent just the kind of inequity that Perry is suffering.
[07:59.880 --> 08:06.000]  Now I'm not saying I'm a fan of Rick Perry, it has nothing to do with that.
[08:06.000 --> 08:19.360]  I'm a fan of the rule of law, I'm a fan of my public officials following my law and in
[08:19.360 --> 08:25.560]  trying to figure out this issue it's become relatively clear that the problems we are
[08:25.560 --> 08:35.480]  having with the law are not necessarily problems instituted by some evil mind for an improper
[08:35.480 --> 08:46.160]  purpose but rather by otherwise well-meaning and intentionally fair public officials who
[08:46.160 --> 08:49.720]  simply don't trust the system.
[08:49.720 --> 09:03.880]  They don't trust the 800 years of wisdom that has been adjudicated into the system by the
[09:03.880 --> 09:11.840]  passing of laws, the repeal of laws, the adjustment of laws, we've had multiple, multiple generations
[09:11.840 --> 09:18.900]  to adjust and tweak the laws to give us a very effective corpus jurus.
[09:18.900 --> 09:30.160]  We get public officials in positions to adjudicate the laws and they don't see the entire picture,
[09:30.160 --> 09:37.120]  they only see their immediate circumstances and in order to, because they don't trust
[09:37.120 --> 09:45.880]  the wisdom of the system, in order to achieve what they believe is immediate justice in
[09:45.880 --> 09:56.680]  a particular circumstance, they feel as though they need to make seemingly minor adjustments
[09:56.680 --> 10:05.840]  toward administrative convenience and adjudicate the expediency in order to seek a otherwise
[10:05.840 --> 10:09.720]  just outcome.
[10:09.720 --> 10:18.320]  And you and I, as the ultimate masters of the public servants, when they step outside
[10:18.320 --> 10:24.720]  of one of our legal lines, we didn't rise up and rail in indignation and discipline
[10:24.720 --> 10:28.520]  them back into order.
[10:28.520 --> 10:37.200]  And this over time, through one minor adjustment after another, the system reached the point
[10:37.200 --> 10:44.040]  to where it no longer even vaguely resembles rule of law.
[10:44.040 --> 10:54.640]  In this case, the prosecutor did not like the fact that Rick Perry denied her in the
[10:54.640 --> 11:00.200]  court a funding for a public integrity unit.
[11:00.200 --> 11:05.600]  Without going into the fact that a public integrity unit for a prosecuting attorney
[11:05.600 --> 11:14.240]  is a prescription for conspiracy to violate law, because of the nature of the laws they
[11:14.240 --> 11:18.680]  apply to a prosecuting attorney, they can't have a public integrity unit.
[11:18.680 --> 11:24.800]  And that's an argument under Article 2.03, which will go into it another time, but she
[11:24.800 --> 11:32.800]  didn't like getting her funding because the governor wanted her to resign and she refused.
[11:32.800 --> 11:36.920]  So she cut some corners to get an indictment.
[11:36.920 --> 11:46.400]  And here are the corners she cut, 16.01, Texas Code of Criminal Procedure.
[11:46.400 --> 11:51.240]  This title examining trial, where an accused has been brought before a magistrate for an
[11:51.240 --> 11:52.240]  examining trial.
[11:52.240 --> 11:56.320]  That officer shall proceed to examine into the truth of the accusation made, allowing
[11:56.320 --> 12:01.520]  the accused, however, allowing the accused, however, sufficient time to procure counsel.
[12:01.520 --> 12:07.880]  In a proper case, the magistrate may appoint counsel to represent an accused in such examining
[12:07.880 --> 12:13.360]  trial only to be compensated as otherwise provided by the code.
[12:13.360 --> 12:22.640]  In it says, the accused, in a felony case, shall have the right to an examining trial
[12:22.640 --> 12:31.040]  before indictment in the county head of the offense.
[12:31.040 --> 12:35.000]  What is hard to understand about that?
[12:35.000 --> 12:39.720]  Look at what happened to Rick Perry.
[12:39.720 --> 12:43.440]  When did he have his examining trial?
[12:43.440 --> 12:48.080]  The fact is, he never did.
[12:48.080 --> 12:52.400]  His first hearing before the court was an arraignment hearing.
[12:52.400 --> 12:55.040]  And there's a problem with that.
[12:55.040 --> 13:03.320]  You can't have an arraignment hearing by a court of jurisdiction before an examining
[13:03.320 --> 13:12.800]  trial because it is the examining trial that gives the court jurisdiction.
[13:12.800 --> 13:18.960]  Another argument for another time, exactly how we get there, just quickly, all complaints
[13:18.960 --> 13:22.960]  in Texas are directed to some magistrate.
[13:22.960 --> 13:28.440]  Policemen, prosecutor, both are directed to give complaints to some magistrate.
[13:28.440 --> 13:33.440]  The magistrate holds an examining trial based on the complaint and then makes a determination
[13:33.440 --> 13:36.600]  of probable cause and forwards that to the clerk of the court.
[13:36.600 --> 13:39.800]  That transfers jurisdiction to the court.
[13:39.800 --> 13:43.400]  Until then, the complaint gives the magistrate jurisdiction.
[13:43.400 --> 13:46.520]  The magistrate gives the court jurisdiction.
[13:46.520 --> 13:48.920]  Didn't happen here.
[13:48.920 --> 13:50.480]  First hearing was an arraignment hearing.
[13:50.480 --> 13:54.680]  Well, the court can't get there until there's been an examining trial.
[13:54.680 --> 14:03.600]  What would have happened had there been an examining trial is that Rick Perry at the
[14:03.600 --> 14:10.200]  examining trial would have had opportunity to enter exculpatory evidence.
[14:10.200 --> 14:17.640]  And then when the prosecutor did talk to the grand jury, and he can't do that yet because
[14:17.640 --> 14:27.600]  the prosecutor has no power to present a complaint to bring notice of a criminal accusation to
[14:27.600 --> 14:39.440]  a grand jury, but directly, the procedure is very clearly prescribed in law.
[14:39.440 --> 14:47.160]  When a prosecuting attorney gets a criminal complaint, he's to reduce the complaint to
[14:47.160 --> 14:54.280]  an information, submit the information to the clerk of the court of jurisdiction, and
[14:54.280 --> 14:58.240]  forward the complaint to some magistrate.
[14:58.240 --> 15:02.520]  Then the magistrate holds an examining trial.
[15:02.520 --> 15:08.360]  And after the examining trial, he's to issue an order under 16.17.
[15:08.360 --> 15:12.720]  And if there hasn't been an arrest in the case where someone comes to the magistrate
[15:12.720 --> 15:19.680]  to get an arrest warrant, then he's to issue an order under 16.20.
[15:19.680 --> 15:22.880]  And then he's to take all the documents had in the hearing, seal them in an envelope,
[15:22.880 --> 15:26.480]  and forward them to the clerk of the court of jurisdiction.
[15:26.480 --> 15:34.320]  The clerk that receives the documentation, if it's a county court there to file the documents
[15:34.320 --> 15:42.680]  in the case, if it's a district court, district clerk, the district clerk under 17.31 is required
[15:42.680 --> 15:47.200]  to keep all those papers safe and deliver them up to the next grand jury.
[15:47.200 --> 15:51.640]  So that's how a criminal complaint gets to a grand jury.
[15:51.640 --> 15:58.400]  That's how the grand jury gets notice of a criminal accusation, or he can be noticed
[15:58.400 --> 16:01.920]  by a private citizen.
[16:01.920 --> 16:04.520]  So that's the procedure for the prosecutor.
[16:04.520 --> 16:07.120]  Well, he didn't follow that procedure.
[16:07.120 --> 16:17.080]  How he followed that procedure, then Rick Perry's right, statutory right under 16.01,
[16:17.080 --> 16:20.360]  would have been upheld.
[16:20.360 --> 16:28.200]  And his right to enter exculpatory evidence, which the prosecutor would have had to give
[16:28.200 --> 16:30.400]  to the grand jury, would also have been upheld.
[16:30.400 --> 16:36.120]  But apparently the prosecutor didn't want Rick Perry to be able to enter any exculpatory
[16:36.120 --> 16:37.120]  evidence.
[16:37.120 --> 16:40.720]  So, who bypassed the process?
[16:40.720 --> 16:49.160]  2.01, Code of Criminal Procedure, tells me that we're out of time in this segment.
[16:49.160 --> 16:52.040]  And on the next segment, we're going to go to something else.

[35:51.200 --> 35:57.800]  police one New Year's Eve, where the police were basically beating up a couple of women,
[35:57.800 --> 36:02.840]  and he got in the fray, they were trying to tell him to stop videoing, he ended up getting
[36:02.840 --> 36:08.960]  beat up, and some people across the street videotaped the whole thing, the cops and the
[36:08.960 --> 36:16.680]  prosecutor tried to charge Antonio with failing to comply with a lawful order, the lawful
[36:16.680 --> 36:24.080]  order being shut the camera off, which is not a lawful order, and they accused him of
[36:24.080 --> 36:27.760]  assaulting the officer by spitting in his face, which he never did, and so the video
[36:27.760 --> 36:32.200]  from across the street, from the people that came forward across the street, proved that,
[36:32.200 --> 36:38.200]  that the cop was lying, so there's a very high profile trial, so I just wanted to segue
[36:38.200 --> 36:43.560]  on this for a moment, very high profile trial, and it was all over a misdemeanor, ended up
[36:43.560 --> 36:49.480]  being a misdemeanor trial that lasted like four days, three or four days, and highly
[36:49.480 --> 36:57.280]  publicized in the media, and there was one officer that was there on the scene that actually
[36:57.280 --> 37:07.040]  told the truth on the witness stand, and then he got fired, so that's how it rolls here,
[37:07.040 --> 37:13.640]  and I'm sure it goes that way everywhere, but that man has a reward in heaven, I'll
[37:13.640 --> 37:18.760]  tell you, that man has a compensation that none of the rest of them will have, because
[37:18.760 --> 37:24.760]  he did the right thing, and he may have lost his job right now, but I know that the Lord
[37:24.760 --> 37:31.320]  is going to take care of him, and so the jury ended up acquitting Antonio Beeler, and now
[37:31.320 --> 37:35.560]  I'm sure, I mean I haven't talked to him yet, but if I was him, I'm sure there would be
[37:35.560 --> 37:42.680]  a lawsuit that would ensue, so what is your favorite topic, Victor, is it traffic issues

[48:35.840 --> 48:40.280]  Yes, nice little 1911 pistol.
[48:40.280 --> 48:47.680]  Well, the average person doesn't see, even if I'm carrying a 5.7 with the 20 rounds,

[48:50.640 --> 48:56.960]  What they see though is they do see my sling when I'm carrying my 308 rifle with an 18
[48:56.960 --> 49:01.880]  inch barrel and a 20 round magazine.

[49:02.880 --> 49:07.600]  It's not conductive for self-defense because if I have to shoot at an actual single person,

[49:14.320 --> 49:19.600]  But if I have my sidearm and I'm shooting the right ammunition, nobody has to worry about

[49:20.600 --> 49:24.320]  Yes, it really is kind of silly that you can carry a long arm but not a pistol.
[49:24.320 --> 49:27.560]  I mean, it doesn't really make much sense.

[49:28.560 --> 49:35.520]  And the first words out of his mouth when he started talking on his speech was that
[49:35.520 --> 49:40.680]  if an open carry bill comes across his desk, he will sign it.
[49:40.680 --> 49:46.400]  But it's possible, you think, or maybe even likely, depending on how the people push this,
[49:46.400 --> 49:53.000]  is that you may have to have your concealed carry license in order to open carry?
[49:53.000 --> 49:54.000]  Correct.
[49:54.000 --> 49:59.120]  Right, and as Randy would probably tell you, that will run into all sorts of problems of
[49:59.120 --> 50:05.040]  probable cause because now I have my pistol on my hip and if I'm only allowed to carry
[50:05.040 --> 50:10.920]  my pistol on my hip, if I have certain papers, they can start costing you for the information
[50:10.920 --> 50:13.480]  on your papers and they're going to do a background check.
[50:13.480 --> 50:17.480]  They're going to run your license and they're going to find out if you have your CHL.
[50:17.480 --> 50:18.480]  Right.
[50:18.480 --> 50:19.480]  Right.
[50:19.480 --> 50:26.960]  And so it becomes an invasion of privacy just to carry your open handgun just on the
[50:26.960 --> 50:31.280]  off chances it would be something that they're going to ask about.
[50:31.280 --> 50:36.520]  What do you think, Randy, if they passed a law that said that you can open carry only
[50:36.520 --> 50:42.040]  if you have your concealed handgun license, what does that automatically give the cops
[50:42.040 --> 50:47.360]  probable cause to walk up to you and demand papers if they see you open carrying?
[50:47.360 --> 50:51.320]  Well, it kind of depends on how they do it.
[50:51.320 --> 50:59.480]  If they grant you a right to open carry, then they can't include anything that would be
[50:59.480 --> 51:08.440]  considered in the form of a contract where in order to open carry you have to agree to
[51:08.440 --> 51:10.000]  waive these rights.
[51:10.000 --> 51:14.320]  However, if they make it a licensing issue, yes, they can do that.
[51:14.320 --> 51:17.880]  Oh, yeah, I can see the Trojan horse coming already.
[51:17.880 --> 51:23.240]  If they make it without the license, then they couldn't put any restrictions of that
[51:23.240 --> 51:30.480]  nature on it because it would not be in paramateria with the Constitution and the existing laws.
[51:30.480 --> 51:36.720]  But if they make it associated with a license, then yes, the police could walk up to anybody
[51:36.720 --> 51:42.720]  that has a firearm on the hip and ask to see papers, ID, licensing, this, that and the
[51:42.720 --> 51:43.720]  other.
[51:43.720 --> 51:44.720]  Exactly.
[51:44.720 --> 51:45.720]  Oh, man.
[51:45.720 --> 51:47.280]  And that's almost certainly what they will do.
[51:47.280 --> 51:48.280]  Yeah.
[51:48.280 --> 51:49.280]  I'm sure.
[51:49.280 --> 51:50.280]  Yeah.
[51:50.280 --> 51:51.280]  Yeah.
[51:51.280 --> 51:57.160]  Unfortunately, what we're expecting is that we're expecting that they will pass because
[51:57.160 --> 52:05.040]  we do not have the support of the NRA or any of the other firearm groups.
[52:05.040 --> 52:06.680]  There's too much money involved.
[52:06.680 --> 52:13.560]  The permitting, the training, the, you know, going from place to place, they make too much
[52:13.560 --> 52:15.520]  money involved in that kind of stuff.
[52:15.520 --> 52:20.360]  If they just did a constitutional carry right off the bat, then there are going to be a
[52:20.360 --> 52:22.400]  lot of people losing money.
[52:22.400 --> 52:24.680]  There won't be any more CHL trainers.
[52:24.680 --> 52:31.680]  There won't be, you know, as far as me, I don't, it doesn't bother me.
[52:31.680 --> 52:38.360]  I would rather see more people carrying to defend themselves, but as far as the guys
[52:38.360 --> 52:42.200]  that work training, yes, it's going to be a huge hit.
[52:42.200 --> 52:46.240]  They went through all this trouble to get to this level, and then now they're not going
[52:46.240 --> 52:49.080]  to be able to earn their living teaching CHL.
[52:49.080 --> 52:50.480]  Well, now, wait a minute.
[52:50.480 --> 52:55.120]  Why, I mean, there may be a lot of people out there that would rather conceal carry.
[52:55.120 --> 52:59.200]  I mean, they could, they could make open carry without a license.
[52:59.200 --> 53:02.520]  Anybody can do it, but if you want to conceal carry, you have to have a license.
[53:02.520 --> 53:08.240]  I mean, they, they could still have the concealed carry and a constitutional open carry.
[53:08.240 --> 53:11.480]  And then, I mean, because there's a lot of people that just may not want to have wear
[53:11.480 --> 53:12.480]  it on their hip.
[53:12.480 --> 53:13.480]  I mean, I don't know.
[53:13.480 --> 53:14.480]  There would be times.
[53:14.480 --> 53:18.720]  I mean, even for me, for example, there would be times where I probably would want to sport
[53:18.720 --> 53:20.800]  it on my hip for certain reasons.
[53:20.800 --> 53:25.120]  And then there would be times where I wouldn't want to sport it on my hip for different reasons.
[53:25.120 --> 53:29.480]  I mean, I think that the demand would still be there for the CHL.
[53:29.480 --> 53:30.480]  Correct.
[53:30.480 --> 53:34.720]  Now, there's several states that do it that way.
[53:34.720 --> 53:40.320]  Basically the old view was that if you conceal the weapon, you were scoundrel.
[53:40.320 --> 53:44.880]  You were doing it so that you could play the cards when you're gambling and have a weapon
[53:44.880 --> 53:49.600]  at the table so you could shoot the guy that was cheating.
[53:49.600 --> 53:51.480]  Now they've turned it around.
[53:51.480 --> 53:55.880]  The only honorable way to have your gun is if you have it hidden so that nobody sees
[53:55.880 --> 53:58.760]  it and nobody's intimidated by the fact that you're armed.
[53:58.760 --> 54:00.480]  That is so backwards.
[54:00.480 --> 54:02.800]  That is so backwards.
[54:02.800 --> 54:05.240]  It absolutely is.
[54:05.240 --> 54:10.120]  Because you would expect more people to go, man, that guy's got his gun on his hip.

[54:35.520 --> 54:40.080]  When Israel was really worried about suicide bombers, they armed.
[54:40.080 --> 54:45.280]  The people in the outskirts with fully automatic weapons and then the people that were closer,
[54:45.280 --> 54:46.280]  they didn't carry the rifles.
[54:46.280 --> 54:48.600]  They carried more handguns and stuff.
[54:48.600 --> 54:53.720]  Then when you got into the core of the city, nobody carried the weapons.
[54:53.720 --> 55:01.840]  It all comes down to both Switzerland and Israel have a huge permitting process.
[55:01.840 --> 55:07.720]  For example, in Switzerland, you actually have to be part of the army for a certain,
[55:07.720 --> 55:11.160]  I think three years or something like that.
[55:11.160 --> 55:16.640]  You can't really use them as constitutional carry because they don't have the right to
[55:16.640 --> 55:20.200]  defend under those grounds.
[55:20.200 --> 55:23.200]  We do.
[55:23.200 --> 55:30.440]  Just with the driver's license being protected as your right to travel, my right to bear arms
[55:30.440 --> 55:31.440]  is protected.
[55:31.440 --> 55:37.200]  What I'm hoping is that the Supreme Court is finally going to go, well, we've ignored
[55:37.200 --> 55:39.360]  bear for all this time.
[55:39.360 --> 55:45.000]  Maybe we need to say what bear actually means, but they sure don't want to touch that one
[55:45.000 --> 55:49.840]  because it would take all the permitting permits away from all the different states to have
[55:49.840 --> 55:55.680]  permitting process.
[55:55.680 --> 55:59.560]  Because you're saying that would apply to both concealed and open?
[55:59.560 --> 56:01.600]  Yes.
[56:01.600 --> 56:06.400]  When you talk to about a federal level where it relicenses from state to state to state
[56:06.400 --> 56:13.280]  to state, it becomes a real problem for the Supreme Court to go, well, you've got a license
[56:13.280 --> 56:14.280]  here in Texas.
[56:14.280 --> 56:19.240]  Of course, you're safe in Texas, so you're going to be safe over here.
[56:19.240 --> 56:20.640]  You should be able to carry your gun.
[56:20.640 --> 56:22.960]  Well, in California, you can't.
[56:22.960 --> 56:29.240]  Or in Washington, DC, you can't because they say you have to have just cause or Massachusetts,
[56:29.240 --> 56:33.520]  you have to have just cause for carrying that weapon.
[56:33.520 --> 56:35.240]  But it's still a license.
[56:35.240 --> 56:40.000]  And licenses shouldn't be accepted wherever you happen to travel in the United States
[56:40.000 --> 56:43.400]  because you're free right to travel.
[56:43.400 --> 56:48.560]  That's a really good point about the traveling.
[56:48.560 --> 56:52.280]  In fact, that's the way it is here in Texas now.
[56:52.280 --> 57:00.320]  A few years back, they changed the carrying or traveling law because for a long time,
[57:00.320 --> 57:02.640]  it just used to be by the county.
[57:02.640 --> 57:04.880]  You could only have it if you were.
[57:04.880 --> 57:08.720]  It wouldn't count as traveling unless you crossed the county lines.
[57:08.720 --> 57:15.680]  But what about places like Harris County in Houston, you can drive for an hour from one
[57:15.680 --> 57:17.080]  side of town to the other.
[57:17.080 --> 57:18.520]  You're still in the same county.
[57:18.520 --> 57:20.080]  I mean, what is that?
[57:20.080 --> 57:26.160]  And so they eventually changed that, so now a block is traveling, which is the way it
[57:26.160 --> 57:27.160]  should be.
[57:27.160 --> 57:33.640]  Well, our Murders Protection Act is actually a really, really good law.
[57:33.640 --> 57:38.400]  That's because it limits what they can actually come after you about.
[57:38.400 --> 57:43.440]  As long as you can't see my gun in my car, that way you don't know what it is to describe
[57:43.440 --> 57:49.240]  it and say that I was brandishing it, then I'm allowed to have it.
[57:49.240 --> 57:52.760]  You take your car everywhere you go.
[57:52.760 --> 57:53.760]  Exactly.
[57:53.760 --> 57:55.960]  That is exactly correct.

[01:52:13.000 --> 01:52:18.200]  to see a morning hearing, and then when they wouldn't let me see the hearing, I filed criminal
[01:52:18.200 --> 01:52:23.000]  complaints and kind of ran the routine on them, so I worked up the ladder until I filed
[01:52:23.000 --> 01:52:26.320]  against the District Attorney and actually presented.
[01:52:26.320 --> 01:52:32.360]  Well, he went to the Sheriff's Department, and they brought out a lieutenant, the lieutenant
[01:52:32.360 --> 01:52:40.200]  sat down, took his complaint, and called the clerk right there and told him, and he told
[01:52:40.200 --> 01:52:44.960]  the clerk he was going to come down there and talk to her, you know, they didn't duck
[01:52:44.960 --> 01:52:50.160]  or dodge or any of that kind of stuff, and the next morning, eight o'clock, the clerk
[01:52:50.160 --> 01:52:54.760]  was calling him, asking if he had come down and refiled those documents, that they had
[01:52:54.760 --> 01:52:55.760]  made a mistake.
[01:52:55.760 --> 01:53:00.200]  Well, that's not supposed to work.
[01:53:00.200 --> 01:53:06.560]  And I have no doubt what happened is the prosecuting attorney, after I presented him to a grand jury,
[01:53:06.560 --> 01:53:12.680]  he went to these guys and told them, guys, don't let this happen to me again.
[01:53:12.680 --> 01:53:18.440]  I'm not going to lose my job because of in order to protect you guys.
[01:53:18.440 --> 01:53:24.040]  So he went to these officials and he got it straightened out.
[01:53:24.040 --> 01:53:29.440]  If you go to Randall County now and start filing complaints, they're going to take you
[01:53:29.440 --> 01:53:30.440]  serious.

[01:53:32.880 --> 01:53:40.040]  And I have no doubt that you go to the county that Ms. Wendy worked over and start demanding
[01:53:40.040 --> 01:53:46.760]  that they do what the law requires, they're going to pay attention.

[01:55:10.880 --> 01:55:12.880]  and said, no, but I got him on the phone.
[01:55:12.880 --> 01:55:14.880]  You want to talk to him?

[01:55:16.040 --> 01:55:21.520]  She left 10 minutes later, they sent him into the grand jury.
