[04:31.360 --> 04:34.360]  And the reason I want to do this tonight is because I have sat down
[04:34.360 --> 04:42.360]  and actually put together a comprehensive educational list of exactly what to say and do,
[04:42.360 --> 04:47.360]  as well as lots of notes on why we do it that way.
[04:47.360 --> 04:51.360]  So what I'm going to do is I'm going to read this to you on the air.
[04:51.360 --> 04:55.360]  I did email it out to a bunch of the folks today that I have in my contact list,
[04:55.360 --> 05:01.360]  but no, not everyone got it, including not everyone on the updates list,
[05:01.360 --> 05:05.360]  though it will be in future updates of the seminar material.

[05:35.360 --> 05:41.360]  Some of this will be something you've heard before, but this is a refinement process.
[05:41.360 --> 05:48.360]  As we progress through and we learn more and more about attitudes and things, reactions and such,
[05:48.360 --> 05:55.360]  and how the courts are ruling on certain things, we make adjustments to what we do and why we do it.
[05:55.360 --> 06:05.360]  So this has evolved over time to be more comprehensive, more thorough, and more directed at the protection of specific rights
[06:05.360 --> 06:13.360]  in order to shield ourselves from what they do in this injustice system called transportation.
[06:13.360 --> 06:17.360]  So with that said, we're going to go ahead and start reading into this.
[06:17.360 --> 06:26.360]  Now, also folks, the calling number is 512-646-1984. If you want to call in and be in line for when we finish this,
[06:26.360 --> 06:34.360]  please go ahead. I have turned the phone lines on, but do be aware it will be a segment or two before we get completely done with this.

[06:37.360 --> 06:44.360]  Never forget, always carry one or more audio or video recording devices with you into the public world.
[06:44.360 --> 06:52.360]  Never go out without them. Try to make sure that they are always charged or have good batteries as necessary.
[06:52.360 --> 06:58.360]  The moment you suspect that you are going to have an encounter with some public servant or official,
[06:58.360 --> 07:04.360]  then turn these devices on and start recording.
[07:04.360 --> 07:09.360]  It is also recommended that if you have a cell phone in addition to other recording devices,
[07:09.360 --> 07:15.360]  then you also call someone that can act as an audible witness to what is said during the encounter
[07:15.360 --> 07:20.360]  and possibly also record the conversation from their end as well.
[07:20.360 --> 07:24.360]  Now, that will apply specifically, folks, to transportation stops.
[07:24.360 --> 07:30.360]  Not necessarily to an encounter on the sidewalk unless you have reason to believe the officer is going to get out of hand.
[07:30.360 --> 07:36.360]  Otherwise, you definitely want to get on the phone with somebody prior to the officer coming up to your window
[07:36.360 --> 07:39.360]  and asking you to roll the window down.
[07:39.360 --> 07:41.360]  Okay. Continue on.
[07:41.360 --> 07:46.360]  Do not hang up the, or no matter what the officer says, do not hang up the phone.
[07:46.360 --> 07:49.360]  If necessary, lie.
[07:49.360 --> 07:55.360]  Tell the officer that it is your legal counsel on the line and you will not comply with any of his or her demands
[07:55.360 --> 07:59.360]  without proper legal advice from your counsel.
[07:59.360 --> 08:04.360]  There is no law against being on the phone during such an encounter,
[08:04.360 --> 08:11.360]  nor is there any legal basis for an officer to threaten you or demand that you disconnect your call during the encounter.
[08:11.360 --> 08:20.360]  The idiotic claim that such a demand is related to officer safety is not a plausible basis for such demand.
[08:20.360 --> 08:27.360]  What you say and do during a transportation stop can mean the difference between simply getting a citation or not
[08:27.360 --> 08:35.360]  and being released to continue on your way or being hauled off, albeit illegally, to jail.
[08:35.360 --> 08:42.360]  These questions and actions are specifically designed to protect both your physical being and your fundamentally protected rights.
[08:42.360 --> 08:50.360]  If you fail to follow these recommended procedures, then you should not be surprised when things do not go the way you want them to.
[08:50.360 --> 08:53.360]  Ignore these procedures at your own peril.
[08:53.360 --> 09:02.360]  The foremost thing to remember in these situations is not to engage the officer or officers in conversation or dialogue.
[09:02.360 --> 09:09.360]  You must control the information exchange and your emotional state.
[09:09.360 --> 09:14.360]  Do not allow yourself to become flustered, frustrated, afraid, or angry.
[09:14.360 --> 09:21.360]  Maintain your composure and speak in a calm and collected voice and manner at all times.
[09:21.360 --> 09:31.360]  You want the video evidence to show, or the audio evidence, to show that it was the officer that lost self-control, not you.
[09:31.360 --> 09:43.360]  Also, do not attempt to educate the officers about what they can and cannot do or the law associated with transportation or the code of criminal procedure.
[09:43.360 --> 09:50.360]  Napoleon had it right when he said, never interrupt your enemy while he is busy making mistakes.
[09:50.360 --> 09:57.360]  Learn from this or you will make your own quote unquote fatal mistakes.
[09:57.360 --> 10:06.360]  Once you know the officer's name or names, use them as often as practicable as shown in these procedures.
[10:06.360 --> 10:22.360]  Make him, them, or her aware that they are being directly associated with any unlawful and illegal acts or violations of your fundamentally protected rights in which they might otherwise engage during this encounter.
[10:22.360 --> 10:28.360]  It is not fatal to the situation if you fail to do so.
[10:28.360 --> 10:36.360]  Okay, but it is relatively important that you try to do these things in the order presented below.
[10:36.360 --> 10:57.360]  Note, sub items 2A through 2C in this list are optional, but potentially useful during the discovery process if the claim is later made that the officer's equipment was quote unquote malfunctioning during the encounter.
[10:57.360 --> 11:06.360]  Alright, first thing, number one, for the record, may I get your name and badge number please?
[11:06.360 --> 11:14.360]  Number two, officer and for the instant purpose, let's just assume his last name is Davis.
[11:14.360 --> 11:21.360]  Officer Davis, is there a recording being made of this transportation stop?
[11:21.360 --> 11:28.360]  2A, Officer Davis, is that recording comprised of both audio and video?
[11:28.360 --> 11:38.360]  2B, Officer Davis, are you relatively certain that your recording equipment is functioning properly for the purpose of making this recording?
[11:38.360 --> 11:47.360]  2C, Officer Davis, is your body microphone and camera if any turned on and functioning properly to the best of your knowledge?
[11:47.360 --> 11:57.360]  Now, 2A, B and C are optional, but 2 is not. We want to know if there's an actual recording being made of this stop.
[11:57.360 --> 12:03.360]  Number three, Officer Davis, what is the emergency and how can I help?
[12:03.360 --> 12:11.360]  Number four, for the record, I am not engaging in any form of transportation or commercial use of the highways.
[12:11.360 --> 12:17.360]  Officer Davis, do you acknowledge that you have been so informed?
[12:17.360 --> 12:22.360]  Number five, Officer Davis, am I under arrest?
[12:22.360 --> 12:26.360]  Number six, am I free to go?
[12:26.360 --> 12:32.360]  Remember, folks, you cannot get the same answer to number five and number six.
[12:32.360 --> 12:38.360]  If you are not free to go, then we're going to handle that in number seven.
[12:38.360 --> 12:47.360]  For the record, Officer Davis, I am trying to clearly articulate my understanding of the legal ramifications of the current situation.
[12:47.360 --> 12:56.360]  Since I am not free to go, I must conclude that I am in a custodial arrest and not simply an investigative detention.
[12:56.360 --> 13:03.360]  Therefore, I am now invoking my right to remain silent and my right to assistance of counsel.
[13:03.360 --> 13:13.360]  Officer Davis, do you intend to inflict harm or otherwise punish me for invoking these fundamentally protected rights?
[13:13.360 --> 13:23.360]  Number eight, if the officer continues to demand your license, registration, or proof of financial responsibility, then contain their inquiry as follows.
[13:23.360 --> 13:33.360]  Repeat ad nauseam, and for those of you who don't know that, it means repeat it to the point of being nauseated. Just be a broken record with it, okay?
[13:33.360 --> 13:40.360]  Number nine, and actually eight is not supposed to be numbered, so we'll deal with that.
[13:40.360 --> 13:50.360]  Officer Davis, as you are fully aware, I have already invoked my protected right to remain silent and my right to assistance of counsel.
[13:50.360 --> 14:02.360]  Therefore, I must ask you, is this information you are demanding in any way able to be used against me in a court of law or to further incriminate me?
[14:02.360 --> 14:15.360]  If so, then upon the advice of legal counsel, I must respectfully decline to provide you with any information or evidence that can be used against me for those purposes.
[14:15.360 --> 14:30.360]  Alright, last note. It is important that the only things you say to the officer or officers are specifically directed at the reservation and protection of your fundamentally protected rights and nothing else.
[14:30.360 --> 14:39.360]  Once you have invoked these rights, never waive or abandon them by ignoring the recommended procedures listed above.
[14:39.360 --> 14:46.360]  Remember, you only have the rights you fight for and will not give up.
[14:46.360 --> 14:49.360]  Okay, it's that simple, folks.
[14:49.360 --> 15:00.360]  So let's consider this situation. We actually had a young lady from class that Friday night did a fine job of protecting her rights.
[15:00.360 --> 15:14.360]  The officers actually told her they wanted her to get out of her car, but she had already informed these officers that she had invoked her right to remain silent and her right to assistance of counsel.
[15:14.360 --> 15:25.360]  So when they began demanding that she get out of the car so that they could have a discussion with her, she looked them right in the eye and said, Officer, I have invoked my right to remain silent.
[15:25.360 --> 15:33.360]  Therefore, it would be pointless for me to get out of my car with the intent of having any form of discussion with you.
[15:33.360 --> 15:40.360]  So again, do you intend to harm or punish me for invoking my rights?
[15:40.360 --> 15:46.360]  Well, they eventually gave up trying to get her out of the car and simply wrote her a ticket.
[15:46.360 --> 15:57.360]  She did not answer any of their questions about where she had been, if she had been drinking or anything of that nature, which none of that was an issue here.
[15:57.360 --> 16:07.360]  However, she could have severely damaged her ability to protect her rights by openly answering such questions, even if she answered them in the negative.
[16:07.360 --> 16:16.360]  Because the longer you talk to these officers, the more they will draw you into conversation. They'll get you to contradict yourself.
[16:16.360 --> 16:23.360]  They'll make the excuse that they can't understand you because you appear to be slurring your words, even when you're not.
[16:23.360 --> 16:26.360]  So the less you say, the better.
[16:26.360 --> 16:36.360]  Now, in this young lady's particular instance, it was like 3.30 in the morning, 3.21, 3.22, something like that, when this occurred.
[16:36.360 --> 16:42.360]  So they could have very well been trying to insinuate that she had been drinking just because she was out late.
[16:42.360 --> 16:45.360]  Alright, folks, we'll pick this up on the other side.

[19:42.360 --> 19:52.360]  The only thing you respond to is anything that invokes your right, protects your right, or insists the officer, respect your right.

[19:54.360 --> 20:04.360]  We don't give out free information, especially to an officer who is attempting to quote, unquote, investigate us.
[20:04.360 --> 20:17.360]  When you are lawfully pulled over, which they can't do if they haven't determined whether or not you're acting in transportation,
[20:17.360 --> 20:32.360]  so there's really hardly ever any such thing as a proper and lawful transportation stop because most of the people stopped aren't engaging in transportation or not subject to those statues.
[20:32.360 --> 20:39.360]  However, for the discourse that we're going through here, let's examine this for a moment.
[20:39.360 --> 20:48.360]  If they pull you over, there are only three pieces of information you are required to give by law, and that's it.
[20:48.360 --> 20:56.360]  Name your actual name, a valid current address, and your actual date of birth.
[20:56.360 --> 21:05.360]  However, personally, I would say that you could argue that the date of birth, you really can't tell the officer for certain because that's only hearsay.
[21:05.360 --> 21:06.360]  I don't remember it too well.
[21:06.360 --> 21:09.360]  I was pretty dead come young at the time.
[21:09.360 --> 21:12.360]  So that being the case, that may or may not be true.
[21:12.360 --> 21:14.360]  I really couldn't tell you.
[21:14.360 --> 21:19.360]  But if you want the one they put on the sheet of paper, well, this is what it was.
[21:19.360 --> 21:34.360]  All right, so now I do have a friend of mine also from class that actually gave them the more or less perceived date of conception instead of his actual date of exit.
[21:34.360 --> 21:41.360]  And of course, they tried to charge him with failure to identify for providing false information to the police.
[21:41.360 --> 21:51.360]  But then again, date of birth is kind of up for grabs us since it's not specifically defined that I can find.
[21:51.360 --> 21:53.360]  It may be, but I haven't really gone looking for it.
[21:53.360 --> 21:57.360]  But either of those will be a viable response, I suppose.
[21:57.360 --> 22:00.360]  Well, the date of conception was, that was when I was really born.

[22:02.360 --> 22:08.360]  When the green light started flashing, the horn started blaring, it was time to come out.
[22:08.360 --> 22:18.360]  But in any case, we do not discuss anything with the officer if it is not related to reserving, protecting or standing upon our rights.

[22:20.360 --> 22:28.360]  If they keep demanding that you produce this information or whatever, Officer Davis, I already informed you multiple times.

[23:25.360 --> 23:30.360]  None of that is relevant to the alleged reason you got stopped.
[23:30.360 --> 23:34.360]  Where you're coming from has nothing to do with why the officer pulled you over.
[23:34.360 --> 23:38.360]  Where you're going to has nothing to do with why the officer pulled you over.
[23:38.360 --> 23:46.360]  What you had for dinner or what you had before has nothing to do with why the officer pulled you over.
[23:46.360 --> 23:47.360]  Okay?
[23:47.360 --> 23:48.360]  Nothing.
[23:48.360 --> 23:54.360]  It is all irrelevant and nothing more than a fishing expedition.
[23:54.360 --> 24:01.360]  And if you start talking, you will get hooked and you will get landed.
[24:01.360 --> 24:03.360]  Okay?
[24:03.360 --> 24:09.360]  So be aware, talking is not your friend.
[24:09.360 --> 24:13.360]  This is where the three activities show up.
[24:13.360 --> 24:23.360]  Shut up, keep shutting up and shut up some more unless you are specifically speaking to the protection and reservation of your rights.
[24:23.360 --> 24:35.360]  If that hasn't sinked in by now, well, then you're the folks that come to me and ask for help after you've already dug your own grave by doing the wrong thing at the traffic stop.
[24:35.360 --> 24:43.360]  And I will try to help you, but it's really hard to be effective when you've already put a 45 to your head and pulled a trigger.
[24:43.360 --> 24:48.360]  You know, I do a lot of things, but miracle work and it really had never been one of them.
[24:48.360 --> 25:02.360]  So that being said, learn how to handle this situation before it becomes a problem situation and you mess it up to your own detriment for the purposes of fighting the ticket.

[25:57.360 --> 26:00.360]  Well, I got the email in Dallas area.
[26:00.360 --> 26:03.360]  Okay, and they stopped you for speeding?
[26:03.360 --> 26:14.360]  Well, what I've had to do since many callers call in and just kind of ramble, I wrote down in an outline form and it'd be easier to tell the story if I just read the outline to you.

[26:15.360 --> 26:16.360]  That'd be fine.
[26:16.360 --> 26:21.360]  All right, this happened October 24th in the morning at 10.52.
[26:21.360 --> 26:27.360]  I couldn't help police officer Lou and a signal to me to pull over. I pulled into a church parking lot.
[26:27.360 --> 26:31.360]  I tried to turn on my digital recorder, but the batteries were dead.
[26:31.360 --> 26:37.360]  I wish I had there for years because you told me to have them, but it was no use.
[26:37.360 --> 26:44.360]  Yeah, you have to check those batteries every 45 to 60 days because sitting in a car, they will drain fast.
[26:44.360 --> 26:51.360]  Well, that's what happened. So with my window rolled down about an inch, I asked if I was under arrest. He said no.
[26:51.360 --> 26:53.360]  I asked, then am I free to go?
[26:53.360 --> 26:56.360]  He said no, then asked for my driver's license and insurance.
[26:56.360 --> 26:59.360]  I told him I was not engaging in commerce.
[26:59.360 --> 27:02.360]  He paused and asked for more information again.
[27:02.360 --> 27:06.360]  I asked him if I refused, was he going to arrest me?
[27:06.360 --> 27:09.360]  He said he might, so I gave it to him.
[27:09.360 --> 27:14.360]  He left on his motorcycle with a police car I had not seen earlier remaining behind me.
[27:14.360 --> 27:20.360]  He returned with a citation stating I was speeding 44 to 30 miles per hour zone.
[27:20.360 --> 27:23.360]  He also told me I could refuse to sign the ticket.
[27:23.360 --> 27:28.360]  I refused and he gave it to me with a refuse to written in my signature spot.
[27:28.360 --> 27:33.360]  At home, I wrote a transcript of the incident from my memory, so I would not forget.
[27:33.360 --> 27:40.360]  Then five days later on October 29th, I put new batteries in my recorder in my shirt pocket.
[27:40.360 --> 27:44.360]  I turned it on before I entered the Duncanville Municipal Courthouse.
[27:44.360 --> 27:48.360]  I showed my citation to the court clerk, Marcus Bunton.
[27:48.360 --> 27:54.360]  He looked at the citation number up and said that it had not been entered into the computers.
[27:54.360 --> 28:01.360]  He told me the ticket would be delinquent after 20 days and that I should call back later to see if it was in the system.
[28:01.360 --> 28:09.360]  Then on November 8th, 10 days after going to the courthouse and 15 days after the citation was issued,
[28:09.360 --> 28:12.360]  I called the courthouse to see if the citation had been entered.
[28:12.360 --> 28:17.360]  They answered yes and told me I had until the 13th, which is tomorrow to pay it.
[28:17.360 --> 28:26.360]  So I went in today, November 12th, and went back there with the recorder in my pocket turned on again to the Duncanville Municipal Court.
[28:26.360 --> 28:32.360]  This time a different clerk, Kevin Quintanar, was there and I gave him two documents.
[28:32.360 --> 28:39.360]  A motion for dismissal based on subject matter jurisdiction using your format from the traffic seminar
[28:39.360 --> 28:50.360]  and an affidavit of appearance with a notary public signature on it stating that I had appeared five days before on October 29th
[28:50.360 --> 28:57.360]  or five days after that ticket when there was no entry in the computer of the citation.
[28:57.360 --> 29:04.360]  The clerk asked if I had a court date of which I had none over those documents and citations.
[29:04.360 --> 29:07.360]  He told me I had to go to court to present the motions for the judge.
[29:07.360 --> 29:11.360]  He told me I had to make an appointment to see the judge to which I agreed.
[29:11.360 --> 29:14.360]  He set the date for December 5th and told me to sign the document.
[29:14.360 --> 29:22.360]  When I read the document, I reduced the sign that this required me to enter a plea and I told him that there was no complaint.
[29:22.360 --> 29:28.360]  He said that there was and he gave me a copy which was dated November 2nd.
[29:28.360 --> 29:36.360]  He told me that if I did not sign the plea by the 13th that a delinquency would be added and a possible warrant issued from my arrest.

[33:35.880 --> 33:37.600]  of the recording made by Officer Luna
[33:37.600 --> 33:40.320]  when he had had me in that custodial arrest.
[33:40.320 --> 33:43.160]  The clerk told me I had to make the request from the judge.
[33:43.160 --> 33:45.480]  The clerk, Kevin, said he was scanned by motion
[33:45.480 --> 33:49.720]  to dismiss and the affidavit into the system
[33:49.720 --> 33:51.800]  and attach it to the citation.
[33:51.800 --> 33:54.680]  I went home and transcribed the conversation.
[33:54.680 --> 33:58.160]  Then later on, I was researching the FOIA
[33:58.160 --> 34:01.520]  then Texas Public Information Act, and they had
[34:01.520 --> 34:04.880]  on a website very sample request letters like,

[34:07.320 --> 34:10.560]  So my question is, where do I stand?
[34:10.560 --> 34:11.920]  What do I do next?
[34:11.920 --> 34:15.400]  Does the cop have to sign the complaint, which he didn't,
[34:15.400 --> 34:20.400]  and does that 20 days begin when the citation is issued
[34:20.480 --> 34:23.120]  or does it begin when that complaint in November 2nd
[34:23.120 --> 34:25.760]  was written up?

[34:43.600 --> 34:47.240]  before the magistrate no less than 10 days
[34:47.240 --> 34:49.680]  from the date of the issuance of the citation.
[34:50.720 --> 34:53.480]  Now, it can be any number of days after that
[34:53.480 --> 34:54.520]  that they set it for.
[34:54.520 --> 34:59.240]  Some do 30, some do just the 10, some do 20.

[01:47:36.160 --> 01:47:48.160]  However, the statute says that that information is disclosable and they're simply filing it improperly in order to prevent having to disclose it.
[01:47:48.160 --> 01:47:52.160]  But I do not know who the specific officer will be.

[01:48:42.160 --> 01:49:01.160]  One of the things you're probably referring to that you may have heard on other programs or websites is Rod classes suit going on up in North Carolina where the federal administrative judge decreed that the North Carolina State Troopers Association and departments are all private contractors.
[01:49:01.160 --> 01:49:08.160]  They are not governmental entities and they can be sued in a personal capacity for their acts.
[01:49:08.160 --> 01:49:12.160]  We fucked that backfire on them, wouldn't it?
[01:49:12.160 --> 01:49:22.160]  Well, when you consider the fact that most of these places that have police forces have no authority to create a police force under their charters.
[01:49:22.160 --> 01:49:23.160]  Mine doesn't.
[01:49:23.160 --> 01:49:27.160]  They have no, the Hillsborough has absolutely no authority to have one under their charter.
[01:49:27.160 --> 01:49:28.160]  Exactly.
[01:49:28.160 --> 01:49:31.160]  So where did they get it?
[01:49:31.160 --> 01:49:32.160]  Very interesting.
[01:49:32.160 --> 01:49:34.160]  I didn't even think of that aspect.

[01:49:37.160 --> 01:49:52.160]  Here's the problem when it comes to law enforcement agencies, the Texas Constitution specifically creates two different law offices, the Department of Sheriff and the Office of Constable.
[01:49:52.160 --> 01:49:56.160]  They are constitutional officers.
[01:49:56.160 --> 01:50:05.160]  However, they are both created under article five, which is the judicial department in Texas.
[01:50:05.160 --> 01:50:09.160]  They are not executive officers.
[01:50:09.160 --> 01:50:20.160]  The Sheriff's Department cannot buy constitutional mandate under article two enforce statutory laws.
[01:50:20.160 --> 01:50:32.160]  They can only enforce constitutionally protected rights in accordance with its provisions.
[01:50:32.160 --> 01:50:33.160]  Okay.
[01:50:33.160 --> 01:50:43.160]  So as far as statutory enforcement, everybody that can do that is legislatively created.
[01:50:43.160 --> 01:50:47.160]  They are not constitutionally created.
[01:50:47.160 --> 01:50:48.160]  Okay.
[01:50:48.160 --> 01:50:52.160]  Therefore, they are administrative functionaries.
[01:50:52.160 --> 01:51:05.160]  At best, a municipal police department can only protect municipal property for the state to imbue them with the power of law enforcement on a statewide basis.
[01:51:05.160 --> 01:51:10.160]  You know, that's kind of a situation I'm not getting into understanding at all.
[01:51:10.160 --> 01:51:22.160]  The legislature was not given any authority by the Texas Constitution to create separate and independent policing agencies. There's no authority for that in the Constitution whatsoever.
[01:51:22.160 --> 01:51:33.160]  There's also no authority in the Constitution delegating such enforcement powers through a private police force to municipalities or counties.
[01:51:33.160 --> 01:51:45.160]  Now, if the Constitution didn't grant the power, where does the legislature think it can delegate it?
[01:51:45.160 --> 01:51:59.160]  It's the exact same problem as exists with the creation of ordinances and pretending that their laws, the legislature cannot delegate the authority to create law to a municipality or a county.
[01:51:59.160 --> 01:52:18.160]  Therefore, at best, an ordinance is a ruler regulation of the incorporated entity that created it, which means it can only be binding on who in relation to the corporate entity, its employees, or its contractors.
[01:52:18.160 --> 01:52:25.160]  And we are neither.
[01:52:25.160 --> 01:52:28.160]  Put a rabbit hole in the face.
[01:52:28.160 --> 01:52:40.160]  Now, unfortunately, it's a very simplified straight shooting rabbit hole. It don't curve much. It ain't even very deep. It's right there where it needs to be.
[01:52:40.160 --> 01:52:56.160]  And again, I was one thing I specifically noticed missing when I, at the first of the year, started going through the city of Hillsborough's actual charter was, hey, where's the police department?
[01:52:56.160 --> 01:53:04.160]  We've got a fire department. Hey, wonderful. Great. Okay. All right. They got one of those in there. So where's everybody else? No code enforcement.
[01:53:04.160 --> 01:53:16.160]  I think I've asked enough to tell you that before. No code enforcement, which the officers of any sort of that, they have a building inspector listed in whatever year they did this in.
[01:53:16.160 --> 01:53:21.160]  But no code enforcement. No police department.
[01:53:21.160 --> 01:53:22.160]  Yeah, exactly.
[01:53:22.160 --> 01:53:23.160]  No Marshall.
[01:53:23.160 --> 01:53:34.160]  And then again, code enforcement can only be used against its employees or against corporate contractors within its territorial boundaries.
[01:53:34.160 --> 01:53:46.160]  Okay, the building codes only apply to commercial buildings. It only applies to commercial builders to ensure that they comply with the safety requirements and such.
[01:53:46.160 --> 01:53:58.160]  But they cannot force any of that stuff on a private homeowner that's doing work on their own house. They can't do any of that. We never gave them that power.
[01:53:58.160 --> 01:54:16.160]  If it's not commercial related and regulable under that capacity, they don't have any real authority to do anything to anybody. You have to be engaged in the business of doing something that has a direct and potentially adverse effect on the public.
[01:54:16.160 --> 01:54:28.160]  Or they can't touch you lawfully. That was the whole basis of being free to keep the government out of our hair with all this excess governmental control and interference.
[01:54:28.160 --> 01:54:41.160]  And that has not changed. What's changed is the perception of what they're allowed to do rather than the reality of what they're allowed to do.
[01:54:41.160 --> 01:54:46.160]  Make sense? They certainly live outside of reality, I can tell you that.
[01:54:46.160 --> 01:54:50.160]  Well, as do most Americans because they're acquiescing to it.
[01:54:50.160 --> 01:55:05.160]  Agreed. I've even argued with my wife over she thought that they must own our property because we've paid them taxes in the past, to which obviously I've come to the understanding of I acquiesce to pay that because it's listed in the Constitution as a donation.
[01:55:05.160 --> 01:55:15.160]  And it never applied to me in the first place because I wasn't an individual. So boy, what a bunch of fun that is to learn.
