[05:08.680 --> 05:13.320]  So we are going to be hearing Tracy's story a little bit later, but I want to bring on
[05:13.320 --> 05:18.480]  Cindy right now, and the reason that we are doing this tonight instead of Thursday is
[05:18.480 --> 05:26.120]  because tomorrow morning, there is a hearing at the Public Utilities Commission, it's actually
[05:26.120 --> 05:32.040]  a Public Utilities Commission hearing that is at the Reagan Building, which is at 15th
[05:32.040 --> 05:33.440]  at Colorado.
[05:33.440 --> 05:38.280]  Many of you out there who are listening in Austin know exactly where that is because
[05:38.280 --> 05:43.600]  this last legislative session we were down there, it seemed like on almost a weekly basis
[05:43.600 --> 05:49.120]  to make testimony in front of the Judicial Committee and other various committees of
[05:49.120 --> 05:53.520]  our legislature to try to block certain bills and support other bills.
[05:53.520 --> 06:06.280]  And so folks, that is the John H. Reagan Building, it's on the northeast corner of 15th at Colorado,
[06:06.280 --> 06:11.320]  and there generally is a pretty much a good amount of parking on the street around that
[06:11.320 --> 06:16.520]  area because it's kind of far away from most of the other office buildings in downtown
[06:16.520 --> 06:24.480]  Austin, and so there is a lot of parking generally on Colorado Street, maybe north of 15th, between
[06:24.480 --> 06:29.640]  15th and 16th, and then there is also always a ton of parking on 16th Street, so you should
[06:29.640 --> 06:31.600]  be able to get some parking.
[06:31.600 --> 06:38.240]  And that hearing starts, sign in is at 9.15 a.m. and the start of the hearing is 10 a.m.

[07:39.120 --> 07:43.240]  Okay, so Cindy, I'm just going to kind of turn the floor over to you and so that you
[07:43.240 --> 07:48.640]  can have the opportunity to get out the information that you feel is pertinent about, you know,
[07:48.640 --> 07:52.760]  for some of our listeners who may not have heard these, heard about these things, probably
[07:52.760 --> 07:58.720]  a lot of them have, but just give us an overview of what our smart meters, what they do, what
[07:58.720 --> 08:03.360]  the purpose is of all the spying and the tracking and all this sort of thing.
[08:03.360 --> 08:05.920]  There's a lot of different issues associated with them.
[08:05.920 --> 08:10.880]  There's health, the detriments and just the list goes on and on.
[08:10.880 --> 08:14.840]  So if you could just give us an overview and then let's get into some of the details.
[08:14.840 --> 08:19.920]  Okay, well just for the basics, for those who may not have heard the term smart meter
[08:19.920 --> 08:25.160]  or heard it maybe, but not really sure what it's referring to, it's basically a smarter
[08:25.160 --> 08:28.800]  version of the electrical meters that are on our houses now.
[08:28.800 --> 08:33.560]  They generally have your digital display, their wireless and communication that can
[08:33.560 --> 08:38.320]  communicate, these can communicate with the appliances in your home once your appliances
[08:38.320 --> 08:41.160]  begin to get smart technology.
[08:41.160 --> 08:43.560]  Some people already have smart technology.
[08:43.560 --> 08:48.320]  The very first and foremost thing that the utilities want you to get that smart is a
[08:48.320 --> 08:52.280]  new thermostat because it can communicate with that thermostat.
[08:52.280 --> 08:57.480]  It can tell that thermostat to drop a couple degrees, go up a couple degrees.
[08:57.480 --> 09:02.520]  There's also I think a separate piece that they can put on your compressor that would
[09:02.520 --> 09:04.200]  actually turn someone's compressor off.
[09:04.200 --> 09:09.120]  Now these are things that at least at this point in time, it is by your permission and
[09:09.120 --> 09:15.440]  usually they get your permission by adding an incentive for you to join a program that
[09:15.440 --> 09:20.440]  they'll have and they'll pay you, say for example I think Champion Energy has one where
[09:20.440 --> 09:25.680]  they'll pay you $50 if they have to turn your compressor off during a hot time.
[09:25.680 --> 09:32.200]  It's when the loads get peaked out, then that's when they might do it, could be on the day
[09:32.200 --> 09:34.280]  of the year that it turns 106 that afternoon.
[09:34.280 --> 09:37.120]  So if you're willing for them to possibly turn off your air conditioning for, I don't
[09:37.120 --> 09:40.560]  know if they have a limit of time that they'll do it because I haven't read the details,
[09:40.560 --> 09:42.280]  but that's probably what you're looking at.
[09:42.280 --> 09:48.040]  So be careful when you start to sign up for these, hey, yeah, I'll save $50 in this billing
[09:48.040 --> 09:50.080]  period or whatever, keep that in mind.
[09:50.080 --> 09:51.840]  So that's some of the issues with it.
[09:51.840 --> 09:54.080]  The other things that people are finding is health issues.
[09:54.080 --> 09:57.200]  Before you continue, I just want to make a comment about this.
[09:57.200 --> 10:03.120]  In general, when these types of services, if you want to call them a service, are offered
[10:03.120 --> 10:07.000]  as an option, that's always the way it starts off.
[10:07.000 --> 10:13.760]  It's an optional program to get people's minds and emotions and psychological profiles
[10:13.760 --> 10:16.360]  conditioned to this sort of thing.
[10:16.360 --> 10:19.040]  And then after a while, it becomes mandatory for everyone.
[10:19.040 --> 10:22.480]  So I just want to add that in to be wary of these other things.
[10:22.480 --> 10:23.480]  Absolutely.
[10:23.480 --> 10:24.480]  And that's our concern.
[10:24.480 --> 10:25.480]  Okay, okay, please continue.
[10:25.480 --> 10:26.480]  That's a huge part of our concern.
[10:26.480 --> 10:29.560]  And so, yes, the utility, if you asked them that and told them you heard stories, this
[10:29.560 --> 10:30.560]  might happen.
[10:30.560 --> 10:34.840]  They would obviously assure you as they have me, we would never think of controlling your
[10:34.840 --> 10:38.680]  thermostat without your permission, not in a matter of years.
[10:38.680 --> 10:41.440]  But then we have what's called the EPA, right?
[10:41.440 --> 10:44.120]  And other laws that they could write.
[10:44.120 --> 10:50.160]  But going on to like, you've got the grid itself, they're having to upgrade the whole
[10:50.160 --> 10:54.200]  entire grid to accept wind and solar and things like that.
[10:54.200 --> 11:00.280]  In fact, we had windmills put in in West Texas and they had to build new distribution lines
[11:00.280 --> 11:03.520]  to get those, to get the electricity to the market for us.
[11:03.520 --> 11:07.800]  I don't exactly know it because I'm not an engineer, but the grid has to be updated to
[11:07.800 --> 11:13.440]  be able to accept these types of energy because for one thing, they're not constant.
[11:13.440 --> 11:17.880]  Like your coal plant, it constantly puts out a constant amount of energy.
[11:17.880 --> 11:21.000]  The wind is intermittent, solar panels intermittent.
[11:21.000 --> 11:23.840]  So that's part of the issue, why they want the smart grid.
[11:23.840 --> 11:29.240]  Well, I will also say that there was a former CIA director, James Woolsey, who actually did
[11:29.240 --> 11:33.680]  an interview on a PBS station and part of what he said, the nutshell of what he said
[11:33.680 --> 11:37.280]  was that the smart grid is a dumb idea.
[11:37.280 --> 11:41.040]  Because he says, if you can take your smartphone and you can turn down your air conditioning
[11:41.040 --> 11:46.840]  from your smartphone, then so can a hacker from Beijing or somewhere, you know.
[11:46.840 --> 11:50.920]  So that he thinks that's a really bad dumb idea and that it's really not ready.
[11:50.920 --> 11:52.400]  Now, it's not just him.
[11:52.400 --> 11:58.360]  I've done a little bit of research and there's a company out there doing some, not really
[11:58.360 --> 11:59.360]  a company.
[11:59.360 --> 12:03.480]  There's a grassroots effort and I think it's called Take Our Power Back and I was watching
[12:03.480 --> 12:09.040]  a trailer for them and they mentioned that you can see reports of how the grid is not
[12:09.040 --> 12:15.560]  ready, how smart meters are not ready, from MIT, from Scientific American, from CNN, from
[12:15.560 --> 12:16.560]  the FBI.
[12:16.560 --> 12:21.120]  So it's not just us little grassroots people screaming up and down going, hey, we hate these
[12:21.120 --> 12:28.120]  things for various reasons, but it's actually a prestigious other entities.
[12:28.120 --> 12:32.240]  I gave an example in the letter I'm going to be reading tomorrow, how the GAO, which
[12:32.240 --> 12:39.840]  is Government Accounting Office, cited that they had their own experts look at the smart
[12:39.840 --> 12:44.400]  meter itself, not just the smart grid, which is very vulnerable, but the smart meter.
[12:44.400 --> 12:45.400]  And here's a quote from that.
[12:45.400 --> 12:51.800]  It says, the GAO found, a lack of security features built into smart grid devices.
[12:51.800 --> 12:56.640]  According to a panel of experts convened by GAO, smart meters had not been designed with
[12:56.640 --> 13:02.080]  a strong security architecture and lacked important security features.
[13:02.080 --> 13:08.760]  And without security design systems, utilities would be at risk of attacks occurring undetected.
[13:08.760 --> 13:13.520]  So that's pretty serious and that's from people who are not necessarily anti-smart
[13:13.520 --> 13:17.960]  meter as we are for health reasons and privacy reasons and of course these are very good
[13:17.960 --> 13:21.160]  reasons to be against them as well.
[13:21.160 --> 13:25.400]  And then you kind of go into, there's a slew of other reasons, but the other big one that
[13:25.400 --> 13:28.360]  everybody's concerned about is your health issues.
[13:28.360 --> 13:32.240]  I personally, because my name is out there a lot, I've gotten dozens of phone calls
[13:32.240 --> 13:36.120]  from people describing how it's affected their lives.
[13:36.120 --> 13:40.440]  For example, I know a lady who has a, who never got a smart meter on her home because
[13:40.440 --> 13:44.480]  she was smart enough to stand out there and tell them no when they came along, which that's
[13:44.480 --> 13:48.560]  something we need to touch on too, how people can kind of possibly still turn them away.
[13:48.560 --> 13:50.760]  But she didn't have one on her own home yet.
[13:50.760 --> 13:54.000]  What she did have is her neighbor's meter facing her home.
[13:54.000 --> 13:55.720]  She began to have heart palpitations.
[13:55.720 --> 13:56.720]  This is a lady in Carrollton.
[13:56.720 --> 13:58.600]  It's a real lady.
[13:58.600 --> 14:01.880]  She had to go to the doctor and have it checked out.
[14:01.880 --> 14:04.360]  It was pretty negative.
[14:04.360 --> 14:08.480]  She began to figure out what she could do by researching maybe shielding her home.
[14:08.480 --> 14:11.240]  So at this point in time, she's shielding her home.
[14:11.240 --> 14:12.920]  It has helped with the heart palpitations.
[14:12.920 --> 14:19.120]  So that's an example of maybe not even having one on your home and being affected, but imagine
[14:19.120 --> 14:21.640]  if it's on your home, it could be much worse.
[14:21.640 --> 14:25.000]  I could give you a list of kind of common side effects if you want so people might recognize
[14:25.000 --> 14:26.000]  them.
[14:26.000 --> 14:27.000]  Yes, please do.

[14:28.000 --> 14:29.000]  Okay.
[14:29.000 --> 14:33.440]  Some of the common side effects might be usually noticeable ear ringing, which I think
[14:33.440 --> 14:37.440]  a lot of us have to a certain degree, but I think some people have, it's increased your
[14:37.440 --> 14:38.440]  ear ringing.
[14:38.440 --> 14:39.840]  It may not be constant.
[14:39.840 --> 14:43.720]  It might just be when you're on proximity to the meter.
[14:43.720 --> 14:49.280]  You've got, some people have mentioned nauseous, stomach problems, not as many, headaches,
[14:49.280 --> 14:50.840]  sleeplessness is a big one.
[14:50.840 --> 14:54.640]  Some people say, I wake up about 2 a.m. every morning and come to find out that's maybe
[14:54.640 --> 14:59.120]  when they send a big signal at 2 a.m. in the morning and get woke up every night.
[14:59.120 --> 15:03.320]  And some people have the heart palpitations and then even some people have had what they
[15:03.320 --> 15:06.680]  call heart arrhythmia, which is even more serious than I believe.
[15:06.680 --> 15:10.600]  When you get to that point, they're thinking about putting a pacemaker on you.
[15:10.600 --> 15:13.320]  So you don't want those kind of things.
[15:13.320 --> 15:16.840]  There has been reports and numerous reports, I think, if you looked at the web, you can
[15:16.840 --> 15:22.000]  find different testimonies, but one that comes to mind, especially serious as a man in California,
[15:22.000 --> 15:24.520]  who after the smart meter was put on his house, it was several months later.
[15:24.520 --> 15:28.320]  I think he said initially it was eight months, his heart, I guess, stopped and his pacemaker
[15:28.320 --> 15:30.320]  had to revive him.
[15:30.320 --> 15:33.960]  Then he said about six months later, it happened again, about four months later, happened again.
[15:33.960 --> 15:40.080]  But within that period of time, also he had to go in four times to have his pacemaker waked
[15:40.080 --> 15:41.080]  back up or whatever.
[15:41.080 --> 15:42.080]  It quit working.
[15:42.080 --> 15:45.920]  And the doctors there couldn't figure out why his pacemaker quit working because also
[15:45.920 --> 15:46.920]  having trouble breathing.
[15:46.920 --> 15:49.800]  It was like, I don't know if it was like one of those elephants on your chest or something,
[15:49.800 --> 15:51.800]  but he said he just couldn't breathe well.
[15:51.800 --> 15:57.240]  Well, California actually has created an off doubt.
[15:57.240 --> 15:58.240]  And so he opted out.
[15:58.240 --> 15:59.600]  Now, they do charge you for that.
[15:59.600 --> 16:03.760]  They're fighting against those charges, as we speak, I believe, but they're still charging
[16:03.760 --> 16:04.760]  for that.
[16:04.760 --> 16:08.280]  Now, so he got that off his house and he said he hasn't had any episodes since.
[16:08.280 --> 16:13.520]  So it kind of, you kind of go, hmm, that's kind of a coincidence, isn't it?
[16:13.520 --> 16:15.240]  Yes, absolutely.
[16:15.240 --> 16:20.560]  And here in Austin, the power company, they do use the smart meters.
[16:20.560 --> 16:25.360]  And fortunately, I don't believe that they are the kind that have these radio transmissions.
[16:25.360 --> 16:27.760]  That's why people are having these health problems.
[16:27.760 --> 16:31.360]  It's because of the radio frequencies, the transmissions.
[16:31.360 --> 16:33.280]  That's what's causing these problems.
[16:33.280 --> 16:39.200]  In Austin, the smart meters on the electrical boxes send information through the power line
[16:39.200 --> 16:40.720]  to the electric company.
[16:40.720 --> 16:45.720]  So people don't go around and take readings with radio receivers.
[16:45.720 --> 16:47.520]  It just goes through the power line.
[16:47.520 --> 16:52.720]  But there are still many reasons to not want these things anywhere, anytime, any place.
[16:52.720 --> 16:55.600]  So we'll be talking about that a little bit more on the other side.

[20:27.840 --> 20:30.840]  They don't use the radio transmissions, but we still don't want them
[20:30.840 --> 20:36.840]  But right now, what we are discussing, the issue is of the health detriments

[21:21.840 --> 21:25.840]  concerning these radio transmissions in the smart meters
[21:25.840 --> 21:30.840]  Yeah, when I ran my computer shop, I recommended to anybody that had hearing aids
[21:30.840 --> 21:34.840]  or pacemakers or things of that nature that they had to rely on
[21:34.840 --> 21:37.840]  basically to conduct their day-to-day lives
[21:37.840 --> 21:41.840]  I recommended that they avoid certain types of wireless devices in their homes
[21:41.840 --> 21:46.840]  simply because you never knew whether or not the particular brand of pacemaker they had
[21:46.840 --> 21:52.840]  was implemented at a certain day and time before all these radio frequencies existed
[21:52.840 --> 21:56.840]  In which case they may not be properly shielded
[21:56.840 --> 22:02.840]  and all these radio signals could produce interference that would cause it to not operate correctly
[22:02.840 --> 22:06.840]  They would call feedback noises and things like that in hearing aids
[22:06.840 --> 22:10.840]  So I was very particular about recommending wireless devices in the proximity of someone's home
[22:10.840 --> 22:13.840]  when they had those medical devices
[22:13.840 --> 22:18.840]  I can honestly see that not being any different on these smart meters
[22:18.840 --> 22:22.840]  because the signals they put out are infinitely more powerful
[22:22.840 --> 22:27.840]  than some of the most high-powered home network apparatuses we can get our hands on
[22:27.840 --> 22:33.840]  And the literature from the PUC shows them on the lowest scale
[22:33.840 --> 22:41.840]  below microwave ovens, below cell phones, below baby monitors, wireless phones at home
[22:41.840 --> 22:44.840]  But I don't think in reality when they get out there
[22:44.840 --> 22:46.840]  I think everyone will even read a little bit differently
[22:46.840 --> 22:50.840]  because they're all in different settings with different settings around it
[22:50.840 --> 22:54.840]  For example, I know a lady who got a smart meter on her home
[22:54.840 --> 22:57.840]  She didn't actually not on her home, on her neighborhood's home
[22:57.840 --> 22:59.840]  She kept it off her house
[22:59.840 --> 23:04.840]  She normally had a gauze meter or some type of meter to measure the EMF in her home
[23:04.840 --> 23:06.840]  because she was very sensitive to that
[23:06.840 --> 23:09.840]  The day after they put those in she turned her computer on
[23:09.840 --> 23:12.840]  She has a wireless network but she only runs it long enough to get on the computer
[23:12.840 --> 23:14.840]  check her email, I guess, and get off
[23:14.840 --> 23:18.840]  But that reading on that meter was three times what it normally was
[23:18.840 --> 23:20.840]  before the smart meters came to the neighborhood
[23:20.840 --> 23:23.840]  So I'm actually on a quest to find out how is it
[23:23.840 --> 23:28.840]  that the current wireless network in your home can be multiplied, tripled
[23:28.840 --> 23:34.840]  once those wireless devices of smart meters are on your home or in your neighborhood
[23:34.840 --> 23:39.840]  Interestingly enough, they may be violating FCC regulations
[23:39.840 --> 23:44.840]  which is something that I have looked into quite a bit as far as the FCC
[23:44.840 --> 23:46.840]  That's a topic for another show
[23:46.840 --> 23:51.840]  But it's pretty clear that there's something called Part 15 Device
[23:51.840 --> 23:56.840]  which are like Wi-Fi routers, wireless routers, things like that
[23:56.840 --> 24:01.840]  Wireless microphones, walkie-talkies, radio-controlled airplanes
[24:01.840 --> 24:04.840]  and little toy cars and things like that
[24:04.840 --> 24:09.840]  And the overall output power of these transmissions
[24:09.840 --> 24:16.840]  cannot be above a certain amount or else the individual is in violation of FCC regulations
[24:16.840 --> 24:21.840]  So it would be interesting to see if one way to fight these things is to stick the FCC on them
[24:21.840 --> 24:22.840]  We'll see
[24:22.840 --> 24:27.840]  Well, that probably won't work because based upon what she's talking about
[24:27.840 --> 24:32.840]  the most likely cause of this is signal propagation, which means that the signals from the smart meters
[24:32.840 --> 24:38.840]  and the type of wireless device she's using are actually very close in sync
[24:38.840 --> 24:42.840]  which means they'll be using pretty much the same bandwidth spectrum
[24:42.840 --> 24:45.840]  These are essentially nothing more than wireless devices
[24:45.840 --> 24:51.840]  It makes perfect sense that they would be operating in the same electromagnetic spectrum for these signals
[24:51.840 --> 24:53.840]  Right, well, we'll see
[24:53.840 --> 24:57.840]  and that definitely needs to be studied because being in a certain spectrum is one thing
[24:57.840 --> 25:00.840]  but if the overall output power is too high, they've got a problem
[25:00.840 --> 25:03.840]  But we'll look into that later
[25:03.840 --> 25:06.840]  Back to the health detriments
[25:06.840 --> 25:09.840]  Please continue, Cindy, about the health detriments

[25:12.840 --> 25:15.840]  Yes, one of the most egregious stories I have heard
[25:15.840 --> 25:18.840]  Fortunately, we have the mother of the daughter here tonight
[25:18.840 --> 25:24.840]  who experienced seizures when a smart meter was in proximity to her in a doctor's office
[25:24.840 --> 25:27.840]  and so I'm actually also thankful what happened in a doctor's office
[25:27.840 --> 25:30.840]  so we can have a doctor's testimony about that
[25:30.840 --> 25:35.840]  So we were very fortunate that it works out that Tracy can come tonight
[25:35.840 --> 25:39.840]  and I've told her story a few times but I haven't even heard it in detail
[25:39.840 --> 25:43.840]  and I'd love to hear her explain kind of what happened and what happens with her daughter
[25:43.840 --> 25:47.840]  and maybe even explain what other type of children might also be affected
[25:47.840 --> 25:51.840]  because we all need to know this to be able to protect our children
[25:51.840 --> 25:55.840]  So Tracy, tell us about your situation
[25:55.840 --> 26:01.840]  Hi, well my daughter, Megan, is six years old and she's chronically ill
[26:01.840 --> 26:05.840]  and we've been dealing with a lot of medical issues since she was born
[26:05.840 --> 26:09.840]  but we had no idea that she was electromagnetic sensitive
[26:09.840 --> 26:12.840]  which I'm going to call it allergic
[26:12.840 --> 26:17.840]  We found this out like in January without notification
[26:17.840 --> 26:21.840]  on-core came installed a smart meter on her father's home
[26:21.840 --> 26:24.840]  and when she went over there for visitation
[26:24.840 --> 26:29.840]  she became extremely nauseated and started having tremors and then started having seizures
[26:29.840 --> 26:34.840]  and we couldn't figure out what was going on so I rushed over to her father's house
[26:34.840 --> 26:36.840]  and brought her back to my home
[26:36.840 --> 26:40.840]  My home had not had a smart meter installed at this time
[26:40.840 --> 26:43.840]  and everything stopped, she completely came back to normal
[26:43.840 --> 26:45.840]  No nausea, no tremors, no seizures
[26:45.840 --> 26:48.840]  At that point we didn't connect the dots
[26:48.840 --> 26:52.840]  We had no idea it had anything to do with the smart meter
[26:52.840 --> 26:57.840]  A couple of months went by, no seizures had occurred again
[26:57.840 --> 27:00.840]  She was starting to get a little bit better
[27:00.840 --> 27:04.840]  and then in March we went to her doctor's appointment
[27:04.840 --> 27:09.840]  and we were in one of the rooms where they do some testing
[27:09.840 --> 27:13.840]  and all of a sudden she went into full-blown seizures
[27:13.840 --> 27:19.840]  and the doctors immediately said they just installed a smart meter on the outside of that wall
[27:19.840 --> 27:22.840]  and she was sitting within three feet of that wall
[27:22.840 --> 27:26.840]  and so the doctor actually picked her up and ran her out of the room
[27:26.840 --> 27:30.840]  and within 20 seconds all the seizures stopped
[27:30.840 --> 27:35.840]  and then we would turn around and walk back in towards the room
[27:35.840 --> 27:37.840]  and she would start convulsing again
[27:37.840 --> 27:41.840]  so we were definitely starting to make a connection at that point
[27:41.840 --> 27:49.840]  Then about two weeks later, at this point I had actually started calling Encore
[27:49.840 --> 27:55.840]  a guest around in February and started inquiring about keeping a smart meter off my house
[27:55.840 --> 27:59.840]  because my daughter was so super sensitive to everything
[27:59.840 --> 28:03.840]  and back in March they actually came out to my house
[28:03.840 --> 28:07.840]  and the head of consumer affairs for Encore and one of the local area managers
[28:07.840 --> 28:11.840]  that represents citizens but actually works for Encore
[28:11.840 --> 28:16.840]  came to my house and I let them meet my daughter and explain the situation
[28:16.840 --> 28:23.840]  and they had promised me at this point that they would not install in my home or in my neighborhood
[28:23.840 --> 28:27.840]  and so they walked away and I felt a little bit of relief
[28:27.840 --> 28:30.840]  that she wasn't going to have any more seizures
[28:30.840 --> 28:36.840]  but it be notes to me that next morning at 7 a.m. there's Encore trucks and contractors
[28:36.840 --> 28:39.840]  up and down my street installing all in my neighborhood
[28:39.840 --> 28:41.840]  and so that was a little devastating
[28:41.840 --> 28:46.840]  so immediately I got on the phone, contacted consumer affairs for Encore
[28:46.840 --> 28:49.840]  and tried to put a halt to the meters
[28:49.840 --> 28:53.840]  I mean I was literally in my pajamas running up and down my street
[28:53.840 --> 28:56.840]  trying to run contractors out of my neighborhood
[28:56.840 --> 29:00.840]  because I just, I didn't want to see my daughter go through that again
[29:00.840 --> 29:05.840]  and it took all day long, probably eight, nine hours
[29:05.840 --> 29:10.840]  before they actually turned my neighbors' frequencies down
[29:10.840 --> 29:15.840]  which they had already installed probably about 20 on the homes
[29:15.840 --> 29:20.840]  at this point within an eight-hour period of time in my neighborhood
[29:20.840 --> 29:24.840]  and she was actually, she was going into seizures
[29:24.840 --> 29:28.840]  but she became completely lethargic, we called it checked out
[29:28.840 --> 29:31.840]  and she wouldn't look at us, she was having trouble swallowing
[29:31.840 --> 29:33.840]  we couldn't get her to eat
[29:33.840 --> 29:35.840]  and she was completely lethargic
[29:35.840 --> 29:39.840]  and we had to get a Faraday, previously we had to get a Faraday tent
[29:39.840 --> 29:42.840]  because we started learning that she was extremely electrophensitive
[29:42.840 --> 29:46.840]  and we had to put her into the Faraday tent to try to recover her
[29:46.840 --> 29:51.840]  and even at that point with the meters on full frequency
[29:51.840 --> 29:54.840]  and in my neighbors, we couldn't get the seizures to stop
[29:54.840 --> 29:56.840]  Okay, alright, we're heading to break

[33:13.840 --> 33:18.840]  and it has been going and experiencing these extreme medical problems
[33:18.840 --> 33:21.840]  seizures and convulsions and all these things
[33:21.840 --> 33:24.840]  tremors on and on and on because of the Smart Meters
[33:24.840 --> 33:26.840]  this happened for those who are just joining us
[33:26.840 --> 33:28.840]  this happened at the doctor's office as well
[33:28.840 --> 33:32.840]  so there's medical documentation of an allopath over all of this
[33:32.840 --> 33:36.840]  and on the break, just so I can catch the listeners up
[33:36.840 --> 33:40.840]  I spoke to Tracy and I said, you know, I didn't get the details
[33:40.840 --> 33:43.840]  of what all the pre-existing medical conditions were before this
[33:43.840 --> 33:48.840]  I said, but it sounds to me like you have a vaccine damaged child
[33:48.840 --> 33:51.840]  a vaccine injured child and that this Smart Meters
[33:51.840 --> 33:55.840]  are exacerbating this situation and you said yes, absolutely
[33:55.840 --> 33:58.840]  that is the basic fact, that is the truth
[33:58.840 --> 34:03.840]  and that you are also representing a group of parents
[34:03.840 --> 34:07.840]  that are dealing with autism as a result of vaccine damage
[34:07.840 --> 34:11.840]  so why don't you tell us, we don't want to go too far off the track here
[34:11.840 --> 34:13.840]  but tell us a little bit about this
[34:13.840 --> 34:17.840]  and the purpose of all of this is we want to get the word of truth out
[34:17.840 --> 34:21.840]  about all these different issues and so that people can realize
[34:21.840 --> 34:24.840]  even if you don't have a vaccine damaged child
[34:24.840 --> 34:26.840]  or even if you're not vaccine damaged yourself
[34:26.840 --> 34:30.840]  if there are any kind of medical issues that you have at all
[34:30.840 --> 34:33.840]  these Smart Meters can seriously exacerbate the situation
[34:33.840 --> 34:36.840]  so Tracy, please give us a little bit of background here
[34:36.840 --> 34:39.840]  and yes, my daughter was a vaccine injured right off the bat
[34:39.840 --> 34:42.840]  and starting with a hepatitis B shot right out of the hospital
[34:42.840 --> 34:45.840]  they don't let you leave the hospital until that's done
[34:45.840 --> 34:49.840]  and so we definitely, it took me a while to figure out what had occurred
[34:49.840 --> 34:53.840]  because nobody would admit that that was the issue
[34:53.840 --> 34:58.840]  but ultimately the doctors had determined that that was the cause
[34:58.840 --> 35:02.840]  and the reason this makes the vaccine injured children
[35:02.840 --> 35:06.840]  makes them so susceptible to the dangers of these Smart Meters
[35:06.840 --> 35:12.840]  is a large problem that our children have is they can't detoxify
[35:12.840 --> 35:17.840]  their bodies have so many metals, aluminum and mercury
[35:17.840 --> 35:20.840]  and from all the horrible ingredients in the vaccines
[35:20.840 --> 35:22.840]  that are literally trapped in their body
[35:22.840 --> 35:26.840]  and unfortunately our children have become antennas
[35:26.840 --> 35:32.840]  and so they're antennas and they're just, you know, it amplifies with the radio frequencies
[35:32.840 --> 35:37.840]  and it causes seizures to occur, it causes numerous things to occur
[35:37.840 --> 35:44.840]  I have another very close friend whose child also has autism and Tourette's
[35:44.840 --> 35:50.840]  and it actually, this poor baby broke out into a rash head to toe so severely
[35:50.840 --> 35:54.840]  and he was in so much pain he was literally picking the flesh off his body
[35:54.840 --> 35:58.840]  and they could not get Encore to come and turn down the Smart Meter
[35:58.840 --> 36:03.840]  and he was, he literally cannot go into his room, he can't play in certain areas
[36:03.840 --> 36:07.840]  and their house was what you would call the hub for the neighborhood
[36:07.840 --> 36:13.840]  so once they finally got Encore to turn down the meter the rash went away
[36:13.840 --> 36:18.840]  and I'm hearing stories of this, you know, over and over from our autism community
[36:18.840 --> 36:25.840]  parents and the children are having major hyperactivity issues, not sleeping, rashes
[36:25.840 --> 36:30.840]  you know, my child has experienced this, you know, most severe side with the seizures
[36:30.840 --> 36:37.840]  but, you know, vaccine damage causes multi-system issues, you know, their GI system is shut down
[36:37.840 --> 36:44.840]  you have neurological issues, cognitive defects, it just goes on and on
[36:44.840 --> 36:50.840]  and it's just very scary that anyone that has immune compromise or any kind of immune dysfunction
[36:50.840 --> 36:54.840]  are going to be negatively affected by radiofrequency
[36:54.840 --> 36:59.840]  and especially the pulsating rates that they're putting them in
[36:59.840 --> 37:05.840]  because, for example, before we went to break, you know, the Smart Meter wasn't even installed in my home
[37:05.840 --> 37:10.840]  it was installed in my neighbors and the frequency that they set them at
[37:10.840 --> 37:15.840]  was literally putting my daughter down for the count and seizure after seizure after seizure
[37:15.840 --> 37:21.840]  until they finally turned them down in my neighborhood and about eight hours later
[37:21.840 --> 37:25.840]  she literally like looked at me and it was like this was a totally different child
[37:25.840 --> 37:30.840]  it was like somebody flipped off the switch, it was that immediate, it was that evident
[37:30.840 --> 37:37.840]  and so to me that it was like it's extremely scary that even though it's not even on my house
[37:37.840 --> 37:42.840]  and it still isn't on today, just being on my neighbors at the rate that they install it
[37:42.840 --> 37:48.840]  can affect somebody to that extreme just like in the situation of the person that Cindy was referring to earlier
[37:48.840 --> 37:55.840]  and you hear these stories over and over again and the parents in the, we live in the Dallas, Fort Worth area
[37:55.840 --> 38:00.840]  and we've gone to extreme measures putting signs up literally standing guard in our yard
[38:00.840 --> 38:04.840]  and trying to run contractors off and they, you know, they're threatening us
[38:04.840 --> 38:09.840]  they're threatening to cut off our electricity and a lot of our children have medical equipment
[38:09.840 --> 38:14.840]  and it's becoming irrelevant so this is a very scary situation for us
[38:14.840 --> 38:19.840]  we have extreme medical expenses and, you know, most people have had to put their jobs
[38:19.840 --> 38:24.840]  just to afford medical care for their children and because insurance doesn't pay for it
[38:24.840 --> 38:30.840]  and that's a whole other story but, you know, we're fighting for our children's lives at this point
[38:30.840 --> 38:38.840]  and so that's why I've come here to Austin to speak in front of the PUC and, you know, to plead our case
[38:38.840 --> 38:44.840]  that we have to be able to opt out of this technology. Our children just can't be at risk
[38:44.840 --> 38:55.840]  and also it's affecting our animals and adults that even don't have any kind of severe chronological disease
[38:55.840 --> 39:00.840]  and are being affected and heart palpitations, I'm hearing that constantly
[39:00.840 --> 39:05.840]  I mean I probably get about 10 calls per day of people reaching out begging for help because they're sick
[39:05.840 --> 39:10.840]  and nothing, they were never sick until the smart rear was installed in their home
[39:10.840 --> 39:16.840]  I want to know what kind of customer service that is when, you know, we have a utility
[39:16.840 --> 39:21.840]  who is so dead set on putting these into people's houses they don't really care what your medical condition is
[39:21.840 --> 39:27.840]  that they have not up to this point, you know, and that doesn't speak very well for one customer service
[39:27.840 --> 39:34.840]  where does that go? I think part of it goes to the fact that we have no choice besides Encore in our area
[39:34.840 --> 39:41.840]  and in maybe this area it might be center point or something else but, or if you have a municipality or a co-op
[39:41.840 --> 39:45.840]  you really only have that one choice. Now you have electric providers that are different
[39:45.840 --> 39:51.840]  but only one, you know, transmission distribution utility is what they call those
[39:51.840 --> 39:55.840]  the ones who service the lines and all so.
[39:55.840 --> 40:00.840]  Right, so it's a pretty scary place to be
[40:00.840 --> 40:06.840]  especially when you're chasing down contractors trying to run them out of your neighborhood while your daughter's having seizures
[40:06.840 --> 40:11.840]  and I just thank God every day that I have a nurse at my house taking care of my child when this was occurring
[40:11.840 --> 40:18.840]  so that I could try to handle business. But the reaction and the response that I received from Encore
[40:18.840 --> 40:22.840]  was like, oops, our bad, it was a communication error.
[40:22.840 --> 40:32.840]  You know, first I'm like, okay, you know, I forgive you, okay, but then it happened three more times.
[40:32.840 --> 40:38.840]  Again, within a few days, again, they're back in my neighborhood and installing smart meters next door to me
[40:38.840 --> 40:45.840]  across the street from me. I actually literally had the neighbor's smart meter, analog meter
[40:45.840 --> 40:49.840]  put back on their house three times in front of me and took pictures each time.
[40:49.840 --> 40:56.840]  I had a contractor that verbally abused me and it almost got physical.
[40:56.840 --> 41:03.840]  It's just pure craziness and, you know, I don't even know what to say anymore about it.
[41:03.840 --> 41:09.840]  I'm just numb to the fact and I just pray that the PUC will listen to Texans and, you know,
[41:09.840 --> 41:16.840]  hear us to know that there is enough scientific evidence out there to prove that these are dangerous
[41:16.840 --> 41:22.840]  and more studies need to occur before they just mandatory put these on everyone's homes.
[41:22.840 --> 41:28.840]  You know, we live in a toxic world and a lot of us are sick. Cancer's on the rise.
[41:28.840 --> 41:34.840]  You've got thyroid conditions and I'll throw it out there. The first thing that radiofrequency
[41:34.840 --> 41:41.840]  radiation is going to hit is your thyroid. I have a friend that had no thyroid issues whatsoever.
[41:41.840 --> 41:48.840]  A smart meter was installed outside her bedroom wall. Within a three-month well check,
[41:48.840 --> 41:54.840]  her thyroid was completely destroyed. And I'm hearing stories like that over and over.
[41:54.840 --> 41:59.840]  I have another friend, 44 years old, they had to put a pacemaker in because they couldn't
[41:59.840 --> 42:04.840]  figure out why her heart wouldn't be appropriately. At 44 years old, no root cause,
[42:04.840 --> 42:10.840]  but no why, but they had to put a pacemaker in. She lived in a current complex and outside her
[42:10.840 --> 42:15.840]  bedroom window, 10 smart meters on that wall.
[42:15.840 --> 42:22.840]  This is absolutely outrageous. I mean, anytime, you know, these rugs want to say something about,
[42:22.840 --> 42:27.840]  well, I guess, you know, you don't use a cell phone, do you?
[42:27.840 --> 42:32.840]  They try to kind of make fun of us. I've never heard of a cell phone or a wireless router
[42:32.840 --> 42:38.840]  causing these kinds of problems. Obviously, they have got power levels that are far exceeding
[42:38.840 --> 42:45.840]  many times over the power, the radio power output of a wireless router or wireless microphone
[42:45.840 --> 42:48.840]  or a cell phone or anything like that. I mean, this is absolutely ridiculous.
[42:48.840 --> 42:53.840]  This is lawsuit time. I mean, you've got the child that's in a rash from head to toe
[42:53.840 --> 42:57.840]  and he's trying to pick the flesh off of his own bones because he's in so much pain.
[42:57.840 --> 43:02.840]  And the parents' home is the hub for the neighborhood and they still won't do anything about it
[43:02.840 --> 43:05.840]  except maybe after on and on, they finally get turned down a little bit.
[43:05.840 --> 43:10.840]  No, man, that is lawsuit time. I'm sorry. We're going to have to take it to them.
[43:10.840 --> 43:17.840]  So I think some of the moral of the story is if you are experiencing issues, talk to Encore
[43:17.840 --> 43:22.840]  or whoever you're, like if you're in Sunapoint or if it's your city, talk to them about
[43:22.840 --> 43:26.840]  turning the meters down because trying to get them off is going to be a lot harder
[43:26.840 --> 43:30.840]  to get them to get them off than it is to get them to possibly turn them down.
[43:30.840 --> 43:34.840]  And they'll know what you mean. Maybe the first person you talk to on the phone might not,
[43:34.840 --> 43:38.840]  but if you escalate the call, tell them, I need these meters around me turned down.
[43:38.840 --> 43:41.840]  I think there's like a high, medium and low settings. I don't want this on a frequency
[43:41.840 --> 43:46.840]  or exactly what your co-host there that knows more about lecture city might know
[43:46.840 --> 43:50.840]  exactly what they're turning down, but the fact is they're going to stand the light
[43:50.840 --> 43:52.840]  and they'll watch as they're low as draining.

[46:56.840 --> 47:03.840]  They want to put them on everything and Tracy hearing your story about having to run off the contractors
[47:03.840 --> 47:07.840]  and they've taken it off your neighbor's home three times, put it back on three times.
[47:07.840 --> 47:17.840]  I mean, this is outrageous. I have had to chase the gas company off of my property probably three or four times already
[47:17.840 --> 47:21.840]  to keep them from putting a smart meter on the gas meter.
[47:21.840 --> 47:25.840]  And that one does transmit radio frequencies.
[47:25.840 --> 47:32.840]  And I've called the gas company and I've told them we're opting out.
[47:32.840 --> 47:36.840]  Actually, they sent us a letter and they said, call this number if you want to opt out.
[47:36.840 --> 47:40.840]  This was many months before they came to put them on all the homes.
[47:40.840 --> 47:44.840]  And so I called many months before and they said, okay, it's been documented.
[47:44.840 --> 47:48.840]  I'm going to leave you alone, blah, blah, blah. Have a nice day. Okay, great. They keep coming.
[47:48.840 --> 47:50.840]  They keep coming. They keep coming. I keep chasing them out.
[47:50.840 --> 47:57.840]  Fortunately, they cannot get onto my property without my permission because I've got a fence and a gate that is locked all the time.
[47:57.840 --> 48:03.840]  And so they're not going to get in without my permission. They can't just come and do it unless I let them in.
[48:03.840 --> 48:05.840]  You're in a good position.
[48:05.840 --> 48:14.840]  This is absolutely ridiculous what these people are trying to do. And when I called them a second time to say, hey, how come your contractors keep coming out here?
[48:14.840 --> 48:18.840]  I have told you all, it's already on the record. I'm not going to accept one of these things.
[48:18.840 --> 48:25.840]  The guy gets all snivelly nosed with me and pulls an attitude and acts all, eh, eh.
[48:25.840 --> 48:29.840]  He's like, well, well, I guess you don't use a cell phone either, do you?
[48:29.840 --> 48:31.840]  And I was just like, mm-hmm, yeah, mm-hmm.
[48:31.840 --> 48:38.840]  So am I in the records now that I'm opted out? I'm not going to let those kind of, you know, that stupidness affect me.
[48:38.840 --> 48:44.840]  But at any rate, it is an issue. We've got to stop them because it does cause severe health risks.
[48:44.840 --> 48:50.840]  Not to mention all the other issues, privacy concerns, which we haven't even started in on yet.

[48:59.840 --> 49:10.840]  Just that at one point, I would like to point out what a load signature is and what that might be happening in their homes if this is a good time.
[49:10.840 --> 49:11.840]  Sure.
[49:11.840 --> 49:21.840]  It's basically a privacy issue. One, there's a control issue with them changing your thermostat, potentially, or you're turning off your electric washer dryer, whatever,
[49:21.840 --> 49:29.840]  because it's an appliance that has a smart chip in it. That's coming way over the future. If you want to know what's happening, going to happen.
[49:29.840 --> 49:32.840]  You probably can look at parts of Europe in different places.
[49:32.840 --> 49:40.840]  Some areas, some places, I was told the other day by somebody that there's, I guess it's in Romania, actually, that they turn the electricity off at 10 at night,
[49:40.840 --> 49:45.840]  lights out, and good luck finding, you know, any electricity after 10.
[49:45.840 --> 49:53.840]  I've heard two different people, although I have not been able to substantiate it, say that there was either parts of England or London that they got 12 hours of electricity a day.
[49:53.840 --> 49:59.840]  And I think they did it like six hours on, six hours off, six hours on, six hours off. Now, we don't want to get to that, right?
[49:59.840 --> 50:09.840]  And that's horrible. But on top of that, the Colorado PUC put out a document that I happened to come across, actually, it was sent to me by one of the people that, you know,
[50:09.840 --> 50:20.840]  I've found on Facebook and such like that. What they, what it showed is it was very clear that they were discussing and showing that at least their meters now,
[50:20.840 --> 50:27.840]  Encore may want to say theirs is different and we'll find out, hopefully, but that they pick up what's called a load signature.
[50:27.840 --> 50:34.840]  That's basically kind of a fingerprint of anything that uses electricity on your property, in your property. It could be a hairdryer.
[50:34.840 --> 50:40.840]  It could be a ceiling fan. It could be your refrigerator cycling on, off, on, off.
[50:40.840 --> 50:47.840]  Those things can be detected. The data, at least on the Colorado smart meters and probably on ours too, is being collected.
[50:47.840 --> 50:54.840]  Now, what is being collected for? I don't really know. I don't think Encore people are sitting there looking at, oh, they're turning on their, you know, ceiling fan or they're blow drying their hair.
[50:54.840 --> 51:03.840]  I mean, I don't think they're doing that at this point. But as we all know, in that great database in the sky called Utah, probably, the NSA database, things like that might be going there.
[51:03.840 --> 51:12.840]  So if they ever want to build a profile on what person's day looks like and what kind of things that they use and when they're going to be home, when they're going to be gone, things like that, they'll have the information.
[51:12.840 --> 51:28.840]  And, you know, this is just, I don't know. Some people think that it's only going to be the fact that we have the smart equipment on our, say, on our refrigerator that tells you what tells them what's going in and out of the refrigerator.
[51:28.840 --> 51:46.840]  But it is also these load signatures. Absolutely. In that PUC document, I'm looking at it right now, and some of the uses of this data, exactly, here are some of their suggestions because it's the PUC telling the utilities, here's some ideas for you.
[51:46.840 --> 52:03.840]  What about, how can this data be used? How about insurance adjustment? So insurance companies could conceivably use the information to develop correlative relationships between, for example, appliance uses or load profiles and health or driving risks,
[52:03.840 --> 52:20.840]  and set insurance premiums accordingly. How about this one? Officers, his national security and law enforcement officers and investigators could use the information about electricity to draw or to pinpoint possible site of various nefarious activities such as drug manufacture.
[52:20.840 --> 52:33.840]  You know, and I have heard, and this is here to say at this point, although, you know, it was a credible source, that the Dallas Police Department was already activating their opportunities to get at this data.
[52:33.840 --> 52:50.840]  And another report that I heard somebody said was in the Houston, either Chronicle or something in Houston, a report saying that even though in Texas, our data supposedly belongs to us legally, they're not allowed to sell it without our permission or do anything with it. That center point, again, this is something I have not proven out.
[52:50.840 --> 53:06.840]  So you could maybe do some research on it yourself if you'd like to, if you're out there and you want to look it up, that they've already been selling customers' data. And people who might want to get hold of that might be people like GE or somebody, a manufacturer of these equipment that we might be using.
[53:06.840 --> 53:25.840]  So, in Texas, our data is our own. That begs the question to me that I've asked. I believe I asked this question of Encore. I'm waiting on the response through this meeting, is if our data and the PUC, if our data does belong to us, I don't remember giving any permission at all for them to even give it to anyone,
[53:25.840 --> 53:31.840]  even the electric company. Why is the electric company getting, they don't need that data to be able to bill me every month.

[54:01.840 --> 54:22.840]  About a year ago, someone from Encore showed up at my mother's house and said that he was doing meter inspections in the neighborhood and just needed to inspect her meter. And so she gave him access to it. And what ended up happening was he actually switched out the meter and put on a smart meter.
[54:22.840 --> 54:32.840]  And he basically tricked her into, he did not disclose to her that he was actually changing out the meter. He just said it was under the premise that he was doing inspections.
[54:32.840 --> 54:33.840]  Wow.
[54:33.840 --> 54:51.840]  She called me about it and kind of made my blood boil a little bit. So I started making some calls to Encore, talked to a lot of different people, ended up even talking with their attorneys and trying to get through that wall before finally, you know, on his threatening wall suits and everything else,
[54:51.840 --> 55:00.840]  and finally was able to get to someone there who basically talked with me in confidence.
[55:00.840 --> 55:07.840]  So I won't give his name, but if you guys like, I'll be glad to, you know, send you forward to the email soft line.
[55:07.840 --> 55:17.840]  But he was nice enough to answer quite a few questions for me and I raised questions regarding health concerns and security and privacy and so on and so forth.
[55:17.840 --> 55:27.840]  So let me just, there are some other issues, but let me just quickly go through some of the technical information that I got back that he verified with the meter manufacturers.
[55:27.840 --> 55:34.840]  The frequency of the meters is 902 megahertz to 928 megahertz in the ISM bands.
[55:34.840 --> 55:44.840]  The meters have three different output options, 400 milliwatts, 158 milliwatts or 50 milliwatts by default, they're set at the maximum.
[55:44.840 --> 55:49.840]  They emit and burst approximately once every four hours.
[55:49.840 --> 55:57.840]  They do have shielding, but he specifically said that the shielding is not designed to stop the radio power from going out the backside of the meter.
[55:57.840 --> 56:11.840]  So when these things are sitting, you know, on the front, they're mounted outside of your house facing away from the house and there is absolutely no shielding or there is shielding, but it's not designed to stop the radio frequency from going back into your house.
[56:11.840 --> 56:17.840]  Then we got into some discussion about consumption data and unique identifiers and all that.
[56:17.840 --> 56:34.840]  I raised that sort of some of the same contractual issues that were just mentioned and he indicated that you can go and view, you know, as far as who owns the data and how it's used and who all is shared with at the smart meter,

[56:52.840 --> 57:00.840]  They wouldn't answer the questions about the security in terms of how the signals are encrypted and so on and so forth,
[57:00.840 --> 57:04.840]  but we had several conversations and he seemed to be very open and very candid with me.
[57:04.840 --> 57:14.840]  We had several email conversations, several telephone conversations over a period of a couple of weeks and at the point of our last telephone conversation,
[57:14.840 --> 57:26.840]  he did tell me that he understands some of my concerns and that the positions that he had presented to me were basically under obligation as a representative of Encore.
[57:26.840 --> 57:30.840]  However, if we were to go have a cup of coffee, he might have some different positions.
[57:30.840 --> 57:36.840]  So I took him up on that and we went and talked.
[57:36.840 --> 57:46.840]  He, you know, he basically admitted to me that there was absolutely no health testing done on these things before they were deployed, you know, en masse to the public.
[57:46.840 --> 57:56.840]  He did sort of hint under his breath that they've been having a lot of problems with these.
[57:56.840 --> 58:02.840]  Yeah, we have a few seconds before we actually go to break. He admitted that they were having a lot of what kind of problems?
[58:02.840 --> 58:11.840]  Technical issues with him and he basically hinted that if a particular resident had multiple problems with a meter, sort of wink, wink, nudge, nudge,
[58:11.840 --> 58:17.840]  they would eventually, if they keep having to come out for technical issues, they would replace them with the regular old analog.

[01:05:43.840 --> 01:05:53.840]  If you look on the Texas SmartMetersTexas.com website as to what is actually being done with the data,
[01:05:53.840 --> 01:05:58.840]  I believe in terms of lawsuit for privacy violations and so forth,
[01:05:58.840 --> 01:06:02.840]  I've already seen a few issues that could potentially be raised there.
[01:06:02.840 --> 01:06:10.840]  I'm still researching into it, but he did tell me that he had already caught wind
[01:06:10.840 --> 01:06:14.840]  that the companies that manufacture the SmartMeters
[01:06:14.840 --> 01:06:20.840]  are already working with very large other appliance manufacturers,
[01:06:20.840 --> 01:06:23.840]  and this goes to the heart of what one of your guests was talking about the load signatures.
[01:06:23.840 --> 01:06:27.840]  I apologize, I came in a little bit late, so I don't know which of them it was,
[01:06:27.840 --> 01:06:31.840]  but he did go into some discussion about the load signatures.
[01:06:31.840 --> 01:06:37.840]  They're already working with manufacturers of appliances to,
[01:06:37.840 --> 01:06:43.840]  not only will they be able to tell what kind of appliances you're using just based on the load signature,
[01:06:43.840 --> 01:06:50.840]  they're actually working with manufacturers of appliances to get the appliances to communicate with the SmartMeters.
[01:06:50.840 --> 01:06:57.840]  Before it's over, they will know when the whole family is in the living room watching television,
[01:06:57.840 --> 01:07:01.840]  what time you use your hairdryer and your curling iron in the morning and everything else,
[01:07:01.840 --> 01:07:06.840]  and every bit of it will go into a database and be profiled and so on and so forth.
[01:07:06.840 --> 01:07:10.840]  I mean, as far as your concerns about the load signature, he did confirm that,
[01:07:10.840 --> 01:07:16.840]  but he also took a step further to reveal that they're already working with.
[01:07:16.840 --> 01:07:23.840]  Yeah, that's where they're talking about using the chips or RFID or whatever it is that they're going to put into each appliance,
[01:07:23.840 --> 01:07:26.840]  and it's going to be your energy star appliances are going to have these, I think.
[01:07:26.840 --> 01:07:30.840]  I don't know if it's going to be across the board or at certain levels, they'll have them,
[01:07:30.840 --> 01:07:32.840]  and when you buy them, you may or may not realize they have them.
[01:07:32.840 --> 01:07:37.840]  So once you put it in your house, then it's going to hook up and sync up with that radio transmitter
[01:07:37.840 --> 01:07:40.840]  on the SmartMeter, whether or not you know it or choose to do it.
[01:07:40.840 --> 01:07:45.840]  So you're putting little spy equipment in your home when you're doing that.
[01:07:45.840 --> 01:07:51.840]  Yeah, actually, every time I have come to hate the word smart now with all the SmartMeters
[01:07:51.840 --> 01:07:56.840]  and the smart technology and the smart phone and the smart grid and the smart growth
[01:07:56.840 --> 01:08:00.840]  and all of this nonsense, every time I hear the word smart used in that context,
[01:08:00.840 --> 01:08:05.840]  I substitute the word spy or surveillance or prison or slave.
[01:08:05.840 --> 01:08:10.840]  Okay, so we've got to start realizing that this is not smart at all.

[01:09:17.840 --> 01:09:20.840]  But I didn't think maybe every time they would disclose it,
[01:09:20.840 --> 01:09:25.840]  but I thought there might be some touting of that as a bonus.

[01:21:27.840 --> 01:21:31.840]  They avoid those because, of course, we're talking about something that doesn't exist.

[01:21:47.840 --> 01:21:56.840]  So, my question is that I'm just wondering what about the people that have that apartment that's right next to those big groups of meters, you know?
[01:21:56.840 --> 01:22:05.840]  That's a very good question. That's one of the reasons why even though they're exploring an opt-out in this meeting,
[01:22:05.840 --> 01:22:12.840]  that's not going to work very well for somebody who's there with a bunch of smart meters on the side of their building where they're renting.
[01:22:12.840 --> 01:22:15.840]  They don't get to say, well, don't put this on my house.
[01:22:15.840 --> 01:22:17.840]  You could possibly bring it up to your apartments.
[01:22:17.840 --> 01:22:21.840]  In fact, if your apartment's got enough complaints, they might call the utility and say,
[01:22:21.840 --> 01:22:26.840]  hey, there's any way we can get these off of here, we're losing people, you know, or getting a lot of complaints.
[01:22:26.840 --> 01:22:33.840]  So, still making your voice heard is one of the best ways to at least maybe get something going because up till now, for the most part,
[01:22:33.840 --> 01:22:39.840]  I mean, they've had a certain amount of complaints at the PUC or, you know, wherever you live.
[01:22:39.840 --> 01:22:44.840]  I don't know if you've said in Texas here, but they don't consider it enough to warrant,
[01:22:44.840 --> 01:22:48.840]  since there's millions and millions of smart meters out there and they might get 500 phone calls.
[01:22:48.840 --> 01:22:51.840]  They're not wearing their pretty little heads over 500 phone calls, apparently.
[01:22:51.840 --> 01:22:54.840]  But I know there's been greater more than that and it's getting bigger.
[01:22:54.840 --> 01:22:56.840]  So, we need to continue to keep on the pressure.
[01:22:56.840 --> 01:23:04.840]  If you want to know kind of the steps you can follow to contact the PUC, we walk you through it step by step how to write your electric provider.
[01:23:04.840 --> 01:23:09.840]  We do have those steps on our website called bandtexasmartmeters.com.
[01:23:09.840 --> 01:23:17.840]  And I think if you'll look on the tab up there that says take action, I think in there it does talk about how to do all those things.
[01:23:17.840 --> 01:23:20.840]  You know, kind of a step by step, make it easy for you.

[01:23:22.840 --> 01:23:30.840]  And I'm just wondering, you know, what if not everybody wants to do this, to take part of an action like that,
[01:23:30.840 --> 01:23:34.840]  or what about like companies that are just commercial companies that don't really care about that?
[01:23:34.840 --> 01:23:39.840]  You know, they're just going to, they're just okay just to start whatever you want and do whatever you want.
[01:23:39.840 --> 01:23:46.840]  Well, too, if you've got them on the side of your part of the building and you're worried about how they might affect you or they are affecting you,
[01:23:46.840 --> 01:23:52.840]  you can ask the parms to see if they can move you around because sometimes you might be on the side of the building farthest away
[01:23:52.840 --> 01:23:57.840]  or you could be closest to, so maybe they can move you where there isn't a big bank of those right outside your window.
[01:23:57.840 --> 01:24:03.840]  But yeah, there will be times that you might even be a person who works in an office building and they've got it on the outside.
[01:24:03.840 --> 01:24:08.840]  In fact, that doctor's office now has one on the side of it and it's affecting their patients.
[01:24:08.840 --> 01:24:09.840]  That's not a good thing.
[01:24:09.840 --> 01:24:10.840]  Wow.
[01:24:10.840 --> 01:24:21.840]  So people need to, the more clamor that we make to Encore to the PUC, the more of an opportunity we might have, you know, to be able to make a difference.
[01:24:21.840 --> 01:24:31.840]  In fact, it was about two years ago in 2010, there was a big uproar about electric bills going, getting like double, triple quadruple even sometimes what they normally were.
[01:24:31.840 --> 01:24:38.840]  And so people were getting up in arms and so they contact the PUC, they contacted Encore, they called their electric, and eventually after enough of that,
[01:24:38.840 --> 01:24:41.840]  I mean they went to Dallas City Council, talked about it there.
[01:24:41.840 --> 01:24:50.840]  Dallas City Council and other representatives asked the PUC to have the meters tested, so the test, the meters were tested.
[01:24:50.840 --> 01:25:02.840]  By and large, they came out pretty, looking pretty good out of that, but there were some that were, that were having error codes that caused the meters to run high and fast.
[01:25:02.840 --> 01:25:10.840]  And lastly, another one of my questions to the PUC or to Encore is the Navigant Report, which is what the separate report that studied these did state.
[01:25:10.840 --> 01:25:16.840]  There was an error code that indicated that they were running high and that they removed those from service.
[01:25:16.840 --> 01:25:24.840]  But did they ever bother to go back and find the customer's bills and find out was that one of those customers that had extremely high bills?
[01:25:24.840 --> 01:25:28.840]  Should we find some way to pay them back for the overpayment they made?
[01:25:28.840 --> 01:25:36.840]  I don't know that that was ever done and that was one of my questions that's going to be hopefully brought up tomorrow or sometime soon because those people deserve to be paid back.
[01:25:36.840 --> 01:25:40.840]  Now, I think I still hear people telling me that my bill is high.
[01:25:40.840 --> 01:25:42.840]  It's, you know, higher than it ever has been.
[01:25:42.840 --> 01:25:44.840]  It's running higher since I've had the smart meter.
[01:25:44.840 --> 01:25:50.840]  Of course, the year that this happened, we also have really cold winter and a really hot summer.
[01:25:50.840 --> 01:26:03.840]  So I think that did play into it to a degree, but there's still, there's several opportunities that if they miss input data on these things, they can accidentally overcharge you.
[01:26:03.840 --> 01:26:05.840]  So that's always a question you want to have checked.
[01:26:05.840 --> 01:26:07.840]  They should also come out.
[01:26:07.840 --> 01:26:12.840]  If you call them and you have a question about it, you should be on a request for them to come out and check your meter.
[01:26:12.840 --> 01:26:15.840]  And you could, I would go out there and watch them do that and see what the results are.
[01:26:15.840 --> 01:26:19.840]  Ask them to show you how can you tell that it's reading properly.
[01:26:19.840 --> 01:26:21.840]  They should do that at no charge.

[01:27:17.840 --> 01:27:26.840]  Just watching videos of people using their meter readers, their goss meters or whatever it is that checks how much RF is coming off of those.
[01:27:26.840 --> 01:27:30.840]  Most of the time, it's not a whole lot greater.
[01:27:30.840 --> 01:27:36.840]  It doesn't seem like to me when they walk up to a group of meters and if they walk to one meter, it doesn't seem to be that much greater.
[01:27:36.840 --> 01:27:42.840]  It doesn't seem to have this cumulative effect that massive that you would think, okay, there's 10 meters, so now it's going to be 10 times as high.
[01:27:42.840 --> 01:27:51.840]  I think it might raise it a little bit, but it probably more affects just a greater area than necessarily cumulatively makes a multiplied reading.
[01:27:51.840 --> 01:27:58.840]  That's kind of been my observation from what I've seen, but if there's been specific studies out there, I'm not really sure.
[01:27:58.840 --> 01:28:10.840]  One person who has done some studies that they can Google her website, I would look at SAGE, SAGE and associates and put in the word smart meter testing or something.
[01:28:10.840 --> 01:28:14.840]  I would be able to find kind of the tests that they have performed and they've done it pretty scientifically.
[01:28:14.840 --> 01:28:24.840]  In fact, me trying to read the reports is like me trying to read Greek, so it's a little above my head, so it does get kind of technical.

[01:29:27.840 --> 01:29:33.840]  And Maine is, there was an ABC News report just a few weeks ago on July 26th.

[01:34:13.840 --> 01:34:20.840]  Yeah. Her bringing that up reminds me that we have a fellow Texan who has taken on this fight as well.
[01:34:20.840 --> 01:34:24.840]  Her name is DV Kid. She's actually a journalist and does a lot of radio.
[01:34:24.840 --> 01:34:31.840]  She doesn't have her own radio show, but she does a lot of radio interviews about just all kinds of things patriotic.
[01:34:31.840 --> 01:34:37.840]  And as of late, her whole life has been wrapped around trying to keep a smart meter off her house.
[01:34:37.840 --> 01:34:44.840]  Her husband takes oxygen and must have electricity around the clock.
[01:34:44.840 --> 01:34:48.840]  He can be off of it for a while, but I mean, his window of time is every two hours.
[01:34:48.840 --> 01:34:52.840]  He has to have his oxygen, I guess, needs the electricity.
[01:34:52.840 --> 01:34:56.840]  So they don't want a smart meter, but they also don't want to be without electricity.
[01:34:56.840 --> 01:35:02.840]  So she's kind of taken the fight on, and she's been going through the legal channels to get to a certain place.
[01:35:02.840 --> 01:35:05.840]  She's been trying and fighting for a hearing.
[01:35:05.840 --> 01:35:08.840]  I guess there's, I don't know it because I'm not a lawyer and I haven't really studied it,
[01:35:08.840 --> 01:35:13.840]  there must be a technical difference between maybe a workshop, a public forum like we're doing right now,
[01:35:13.840 --> 01:35:15.840]  versus an actual hearing.
[01:35:15.840 --> 01:35:22.840]  And she's approached the PUC in the channels of which they create for you to do that,
[01:35:22.840 --> 01:35:28.840]  which starts off, by the way, if you want to get anywhere, you have to at least first do the first step on our tech action,
[01:35:28.840 --> 01:35:34.840]  which is to contact the PUC and tell them you're a complaint, spell it out for them, tell them about your complaint.
[01:35:34.840 --> 01:35:37.840]  They'll supposedly check it out, get back to you and tell you the results of that.
[01:35:37.840 --> 01:35:40.840]  If you're not satisfied, then you can go to the next step, which is to file a formal complaint.
[01:35:40.840 --> 01:35:42.840]  And that's where Divya, I believe, is now.
[01:35:42.840 --> 01:35:46.840]  Her first form of complaint did get thrown out where she's done the second one.
[01:35:46.840 --> 01:35:48.840]  That one got, quote, unquote, dismissed as well.
[01:35:48.840 --> 01:35:52.840]  Not really dismissed, but ruled, you know, that they weren't going to do anything.
[01:35:52.840 --> 01:35:56.840]  She's appealing that because there isn't a peer process for that.
[01:35:56.840 --> 01:36:00.840]  She has numerous pages of documentation.
[01:36:00.840 --> 01:36:09.840]  I don't know if she has actual testimony in that of experts that explain the health issues that can be coming up.
[01:36:09.840 --> 01:36:13.840]  So her biggest angle is the health issue, although she does touch slightly on the privacy.
[01:36:13.840 --> 01:36:20.840]  So she actually is looking more for a moratorium until such time as they're proven safe,
[01:36:20.840 --> 01:36:23.840]  which would mean halting of the installations.

[01:38:40.840 --> 01:38:47.840]  And the second question is, why isn't anybody following the law system
[01:38:47.840 --> 01:38:53.840]  directly personally on the people that are the president and vice presidents
[01:38:53.840 --> 01:38:59.840]  of these companies so that they can open their eyes and do the right thing?
[01:38:59.840 --> 01:39:02.840]  And I'll hang up and listen.

[01:39:04.840 --> 01:39:06.840]  How do you know if you have a smart meter on your house?
[01:39:06.840 --> 01:39:10.840]  In Texas, there's not very many digital meters that are out there
[01:39:10.840 --> 01:39:13.840]  unless they're a smart meter, although there are some.
[01:39:13.840 --> 01:39:17.840]  There is, I know there's been some telltale signs to really tell the difference.
[01:39:17.840 --> 01:39:20.840]  Some of them I can't remember right off the top of my head except for,
[01:39:20.840 --> 01:39:24.840]  there is one thing that should be on a smart meter that probably wouldn't be
[01:39:24.840 --> 01:39:26.840]  on a plain digital meter.
[01:39:26.840 --> 01:39:30.840]  And that is a kind of a stylistic Z, if you will,
[01:39:30.840 --> 01:39:33.840]  that I don't know if the whole word is on there, ZIGB.
[01:39:33.840 --> 01:39:36.840]  But it's a stylistic Z, I've seen them usually on the upper right-hand corner.
[01:39:36.840 --> 01:39:42.840]  They're probably no bigger than the tip of maybe a racer on the head of a pencil.
[01:39:42.840 --> 01:39:45.840]  So they're fairly small, you have to look pretty close.
[01:39:45.840 --> 01:39:49.840]  A Z, and that's ZIGB because that is the technology that allows the two-way
[01:39:49.840 --> 01:39:54.840]  communication with appliances and such that's actually already embedded into
[01:39:54.840 --> 01:39:55.840]  the smart meter.
[01:39:55.840 --> 01:39:59.840]  So if you don't have a digital meter, it's just got the little dials rolling
[01:39:59.840 --> 01:40:02.840]  around in circles, you have a regular analog meter.
[01:40:02.840 --> 01:40:05.840]  But if it's a digital, you've looked for that little Z.
[01:40:05.840 --> 01:40:09.840]  I think if you find that, you're pretty certain that that's going to be one
[01:40:09.840 --> 01:40:10.840]  of the new smart meters.
[01:40:10.840 --> 01:40:13.840]  And then as far as why isn't people filing lawsuits?
[01:40:13.840 --> 01:40:17.840]  Well, and he said two of the people in the actual corporations.
[01:40:17.840 --> 01:40:19.840]  And that's a good question.
[01:40:19.840 --> 01:40:21.840]  I mean, that might be some places to start.
[01:40:21.840 --> 01:40:23.840]  But it also takes awareness.
[01:40:23.840 --> 01:40:26.840]  People aren't oftentimes aware, you know, what to do.
[01:40:26.840 --> 01:40:27.840]  They don't know what to do.
[01:40:27.840 --> 01:40:29.840]  Maybe they don't even know where they're feeling sick from.
[01:40:29.840 --> 01:40:34.840]  So of the number of people that are awake, I guess to my knowledge,
[01:40:34.840 --> 01:40:37.840]  there's not been somebody that's made that kind of effort legally.
[01:40:37.840 --> 01:40:43.840]  It takes a lot of money and it takes a lot of research to know and some proof,
[01:40:43.840 --> 01:40:45.840]  some type of proof to go in.
[01:40:45.840 --> 01:40:49.840]  You know, if you go into a court of law, you have to have a good proof other
[01:40:49.840 --> 01:40:53.840]  than, well, I'm feeling worse than I usually do or I have this symptom,
[01:40:53.840 --> 01:40:58.840]  which seems to me to you and me when we hear the story that I was feeling fine
[01:40:58.840 --> 01:41:02.840]  before the smart meter, then I wasn't feeling fine.
[01:41:02.840 --> 01:41:04.840]  And I've got even some people that tell me that they've moved away from the
[01:41:04.840 --> 01:41:06.840]  smart meter and they felt better again.
[01:41:06.840 --> 01:41:10.840]  So to me, it's like, well, that's pretty, you know, connective, you know, there.
[01:41:10.840 --> 01:41:13.840]  But that's not always enough in the court of law and such.
[01:41:13.840 --> 01:41:17.840]  So I would hope that more people would contact even DV.
[01:41:17.840 --> 01:41:21.840]  If they're interested in joining a lawsuit or participating in it in some way,
[01:41:21.840 --> 01:41:25.840]  they might be able to join in with hers.
[01:41:25.840 --> 01:41:28.840]  You know, it's not on the utility at this time.
[01:41:28.840 --> 01:41:31.840]  In fact, it's really not a total lawsuit at this point.
[01:41:31.840 --> 01:41:32.840]  We're prior to that.
[01:41:32.840 --> 01:41:36.840]  But if we don't get our satisfaction going through the PUC and such,
[01:41:36.840 --> 01:41:42.840]  then it very well would go into a more of a lawsuit type situation.

[01:41:43.840 --> 01:41:49.840]  And folks, it is an extreme endeavor to try to deal with a lawsuit in the court system.
[01:41:49.840 --> 01:41:53.840]  Whether you hire an attorney or not, if you're not going to hire an attorney,
[01:41:53.840 --> 01:41:55.840]  it takes a lot of time.
[01:41:55.840 --> 01:41:57.840]  It takes a lot of effort, a lot of work, a lot of studying.
[01:41:57.840 --> 01:41:59.840]  You have to know rules of court.
[01:41:59.840 --> 01:42:01.840]  You have to learn how to write legal documents.
[01:42:01.840 --> 01:42:03.840]  All of these things are possible.
[01:42:03.840 --> 01:42:05.840]  However, it's still a lot of work.
[01:42:05.840 --> 01:42:08.840]  And even if you hire, even if you have the money to hire an attorney or decide
[01:42:08.840 --> 01:42:13.840]  you want to hire an attorney, you still have to do all this research anyway
[01:42:13.840 --> 01:42:16.840]  so that a lot of times with these sorts of situations,
[01:42:16.840 --> 01:42:19.840]  the attorneys don't know any more about it than you do.
[01:42:19.840 --> 01:42:24.840]  The attorneys are actually relying on the clients to help them with the research
[01:42:24.840 --> 01:42:26.840]  to be able to put the case together.
[01:42:26.840 --> 01:42:29.840]  You've got to be able to work with your attorney to put a decent case together.
[01:42:29.840 --> 01:42:33.840]  And the attorneys mainly just there to handle all of the legal aspects.
[01:42:33.840 --> 01:42:38.840]  Yes, like the court procedure and the filing of the documents and these sorts of things.
[01:42:38.840 --> 01:42:40.840]  And so, folks, it is a lot of work.
[01:42:40.840 --> 01:42:45.840]  And most people live such a hand-to-mouth existence that cannot afford to hire an attorney.
[01:42:45.840 --> 01:42:47.840]  It just doesn't work out.
[01:42:47.840 --> 01:42:52.840]  I'm thinking that there's going to be some class action lawsuits in the future
[01:42:52.840 --> 01:42:55.840]  over these things because it affects so many people.

[01:47:58.840 --> 01:48:02.840]  I don't know whether you can answer these or not, but I'd like to throw them out there.
[01:48:02.840 --> 01:48:07.840]  A lot of people have these wireless routers in their homes that's putting out an RF signal,
[01:48:07.840 --> 01:48:11.840]  and I'm not aware of anybody having any trouble from that.
[01:48:11.840 --> 01:48:15.840]  Approximately how much more power are these smart meters putting out than, say, a wireless router?
[01:48:15.840 --> 01:48:18.840]  10 times, 100 times, do we know?
[01:48:18.840 --> 01:48:24.840]  It seems to vary from what I can tell when I see people use their meter gauges
[01:48:24.840 --> 01:48:27.840]  and walk around to different equipment or different smart meters.
[01:48:27.840 --> 01:48:28.840]  They're all over the place.
[01:48:28.840 --> 01:48:34.840]  They're bouncing all over the place, but they are going way off the scale when they're collecting these.
[01:48:34.840 --> 01:48:41.840]  But again, you could go to youtube.com and probably put smart meters and see videos of people using those.
[01:48:41.840 --> 01:48:44.840]  Now, I'm not saying that those are scientific studies.
[01:48:44.840 --> 01:48:46.840]  They're not.
[01:48:46.840 --> 01:48:51.840]  And if you look at the PUC material, the smart meter is way down on the bottom of the rung.
[01:48:51.840 --> 01:48:58.840]  But I think there's got to be something missing there that maybe if you take a smart meter and you test it out in a field by itself,
[01:48:58.840 --> 01:49:04.840]  it has a certain maybe, you know, way that it transmits or something, an amount of a frequency.
[01:49:04.840 --> 01:49:09.840]  But I think what's happening is when it's been putting in the atmosphere of a home where there are other wireless things,
[01:49:09.840 --> 01:49:13.840]  and I had told somebody earlier, I don't know if it was on the show, I don't think it was,
[01:49:13.840 --> 01:49:18.840]  that I had a lady that had a house that was pretty much EMF-free because that's the way she needs to keep it.
[01:49:18.840 --> 01:49:23.840]  She also keeps a monitor on her desk that checks, you know, that measures these things.
[01:49:23.840 --> 01:49:28.840]  The day after she got smart meters, she turned on the wireless router.
[01:49:28.840 --> 01:49:37.840]  And at that time, the router read three times what it normally reads on, compared to what it normally reads at three times.
[01:49:37.840 --> 01:49:42.840]  So it affected the wires or something to do with the wireless activity.
[01:49:42.840 --> 01:49:50.840]  And I wonder if that then again, it's maybe not just the meter in itself, it's the combination perhaps that's causing a problem.
[01:49:50.840 --> 01:49:53.840]  So maybe they are somewhat FCC compliant.
[01:49:53.840 --> 01:49:55.840]  I don't know that's in question.
[01:49:55.840 --> 01:49:57.840]  They state that they are.
[01:49:57.840 --> 01:50:02.840]  But again, I think there might be some other things because we haven't had these wireless mesh networks in our communities.
[01:50:02.840 --> 01:50:07.840]  These meters bounce signals from one meter to the next to the next to the next.
[01:50:07.840 --> 01:50:14.840]  Now, your signals may only go out to the home office once every, what do you say, four hours, the gentleman that was on earlier.
[01:50:14.840 --> 01:50:17.840]  But what about the others that are sending them that yours is relaying?
[01:50:17.840 --> 01:50:21.840]  So it's continually going up and down the amount of frequency that it sends out.
[01:50:21.840 --> 01:50:23.840]  So plus it's a fact of the pulsating.
[01:50:23.840 --> 01:50:31.840]  If you've ever spent time under a strobe light or something, you'll notice that you could cause nausea and headaches, dizziness, things like that.
[01:50:31.840 --> 01:50:37.840]  Well, these pulsing EMF things can affect your body similarly, I believe.
[01:50:37.840 --> 01:50:45.840]  This is again just research that I picked up and read, but I'm not a scientist, so I only have a limited understanding of how all that works.
[01:50:45.840 --> 01:50:51.840]  Okay, and my other question real quick was, I didn't understand it's throwing out a radio frequency signal,
[01:50:51.840 --> 01:50:55.840]  but unless there's someone with a computer nearby to receive the signal, why is it transmitting?
[01:50:55.840 --> 01:50:57.840]  You partially answered that it's a mesh network.
[01:50:57.840 --> 01:51:00.840]  One meter communicates with another meter next door.
[01:51:00.840 --> 01:51:03.840]  Yeah, it could be, you know, three houses down.
[01:51:03.840 --> 01:51:09.840]  I don't know how far it goes until there goes to what Tracy alluded to as a hub earlier, which is also maybe called a collector meter.
[01:51:09.840 --> 01:51:18.840]  And those do probably put out, apparently, perhaps more RF than the rest of them, because it's really, everything's heading its direction.
[01:51:18.840 --> 01:51:26.840]  And then it puts out maybe a, perhaps I don't know, I don't understand these, a bigger surge to get it up to what the transmitter or whatever, you know.
[01:51:26.840 --> 01:51:28.840]  Yeah, that's an automaker.
[01:51:28.840 --> 01:51:33.840]  That's something I'm still trying to understand again in my non-technical electrical mind.
[01:51:33.840 --> 01:51:38.840]  You're literally kind of in a minefield of radio frequencies then when you're in a neighborhood with a lot of them.
[01:51:38.840 --> 01:51:39.840]  Okay.
[01:51:39.840 --> 01:51:45.840]  That's why some people cannot have one on their home and still feel effects of them, because maybe it's not only just the neighboring one,
[01:51:45.840 --> 01:51:53.840]  which it could very well be if it's facing your kitchen window, like in the case of a friend that I mentioned who was having heart palpitations with their neighbors.
[01:51:53.840 --> 01:51:58.840]  It's possible if they took their neighbors off, she still might feel it just because of the mass of them in the neighborhood.
[01:51:58.840 --> 01:51:59.840]  I'm not real sure.

[01:56:50.840 --> 01:56:55.840]  the power line to the power company, but that is not the same thing as a smart meter.
[01:56:55.840 --> 01:56:59.840]  The smart meters are the ones that use the radio transmission.
[01:56:59.840 --> 01:57:03.840]  And so right now it looks like what we've got is a digital meter.
[01:57:03.840 --> 01:57:06.840]  So thank God we are safe right now.

[01:57:07.840 --> 01:57:08.840]  It's just a digital meter.
[01:57:08.840 --> 01:57:11.840]  However, those digital meters might have the power lines for sending it back to the company,

[01:57:15.840 --> 01:57:20.840]  ZigBee or anything that could talk to an appliance should you have one that have the smart equipment
