[05:53.000 --> 06:01.000]  We are going to be talking about these conventions, these senatorial district conventions.
[06:01.000 --> 06:08.000]  Apparently, the Ron Paul supporters dominated at Williamson County last Saturday,
[06:08.000 --> 06:13.000]  and we are hoping to do the same thing this Saturday. Richard, give us a breakdown.
[06:13.000 --> 06:18.000]  Well, once again, Deborah, Randy, Eddie, thank you guys for having me on again.
[06:18.000 --> 06:21.000]  And folks, Deborah's right. That's the word we've got.
[06:21.000 --> 06:25.000]  The Ron Paul faction to Williamson County did really well.
[06:25.000 --> 06:28.000]  As a matter of fact, they think they've already got it figured out,
[06:28.000 --> 06:31.000]  where when they do go to the Texas State Convention,
[06:31.000 --> 06:34.000]  that they will be having in their congressional district caucuses,
[06:34.000 --> 06:42.000]  that they will succeed in sending minimum, at least, one Ron Paul delegate out of their congressional district.
[06:42.000 --> 06:48.000]  Things are looking good. And if we can think of that as a litmus test of what's going on,
[06:48.000 --> 06:57.000]  not just in the different counties here near Travis, but also hopefully statewide and hopefully nationwide,
[06:57.000 --> 07:02.000]  if we can think of that as a litmus, it looks like we're going to have a lot of,
[07:02.000 --> 07:08.000]  a lot of Ron Paul supporters potentially make it not only to the Texas State Convention,
[07:08.000 --> 07:13.000]  but through and beyond, through and beyond the Texas State Convention,
[07:13.000 --> 07:20.000]  all the way to the RNC there in Florida, coming up in late August, early September.
[07:20.000 --> 07:25.000]  It looks like with Santorum dropping out, with Santorum dropping out,
[07:25.000 --> 07:33.000]  kind of a surprise that he's dropped out early, but there's key races coming up next Tuesday
[07:33.000 --> 07:39.000]  that I really, really expected that Santorum was going to continue with his presidential bid
[07:39.000 --> 07:46.000]  through at least this next Tuesday, the 24th, to see what goes out in Pennsylvania and New York
[07:46.000 --> 07:48.000]  and how those votes would have broken out.
[07:48.000 --> 07:56.000]  So I was really surprised to see Santorum back out early and not at least go through those primary election cycles.
[07:56.000 --> 08:04.000]  But there's what we got, Santorum dropping out, potentially unbind.
[08:04.000 --> 08:08.000]  Most, if not all, of the delegates Santorum has.
[08:08.000 --> 08:11.000]  Santorum won over 10 states.
[08:11.000 --> 08:13.000]  He won over 10 states.
[08:13.000 --> 08:19.000]  He won Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, Colorado, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Minnesota.
[08:19.000 --> 08:20.000]  Oh, I said that's right.
[08:20.000 --> 08:22.000]  Oklahoma, Kansas, and North Dakota.
[08:22.000 --> 08:28.000]  So he won quite a few states and those delegates, not in every state, but in many states,
[08:28.000 --> 08:30.000]  those delegates will be unbound.
[08:30.000 --> 08:37.000]  And if the wrongful people were active in those states and going to their precinct conventions,
[08:37.000 --> 08:45.000]  precinct caucuses, then if they got those majorities at those level of conventions and caucuses,
[08:45.000 --> 08:47.000]  then they will be majorities of the RNC.
[08:47.000 --> 08:55.000]  And theoretically, we could see, potentially, several hundred votes for Ron Paul on the first round there at the RNC.
[08:55.000 --> 08:56.000]  Right.
[08:56.000 --> 09:05.000]  Now, what I'd like people to understand here is that it really doesn't matter how many delegates Mitt Romney picks up.
[09:05.000 --> 09:15.000]  It doesn't matter even if he allegedly picks up enough to get the nomination without a broker convention.
[09:15.000 --> 09:25.000]  If enough Ron Paul supporters make it to their state conventions, the ones that are left and maybe even the ones that have already taken place,
[09:25.000 --> 09:33.000]  they can vote to change the rules to unbind themselves from the results of the primaries,
[09:33.000 --> 09:35.000]  and then they can vote for Ron Paul.
[09:35.000 --> 09:38.000]  They can vote for whoever they want at the convention.
[09:38.000 --> 09:41.000]  Remember, folks, the results of the primaries really don't mean anything.
[09:41.000 --> 09:47.000]  Okay, it's who votes for the nominee at the convention.
[09:47.000 --> 09:51.000]  It's how the vote goes down at the convention is what counts.
[09:51.000 --> 09:54.000]  And the rules are different in every state.
[09:54.000 --> 09:56.000]  Sometimes the delegates are bound.
[09:56.000 --> 09:57.000]  Sometimes they're not.
[09:57.000 --> 10:00.000]  Sometimes it's a win or take all state.
[10:00.000 --> 10:05.000]  A candidate could win the primaries by, you know, a very slim majority,
[10:05.000 --> 10:09.000]  but then pick up all the delegates from that state.
[10:09.000 --> 10:11.000]  Texas used to be a win or take all state.
[10:11.000 --> 10:21.000]  Now Texas is a state with the Republican Party rules that they break it down according to percentage as best as possible.
[10:21.000 --> 10:28.000]  Whatever the primary results are, they take the percentage that each candidate got,
[10:28.000 --> 10:33.000]  and then they break up the delegates accordingly as close as possible to the percentage.
[10:33.000 --> 10:42.000]  But hey, you know, if everybody, if there's a majority of Ron Paul delegates at the Texas State Convention,
[10:42.000 --> 10:48.000]  they could completely throw those rules out and just unbind themselves.
[10:48.000 --> 10:52.000]  And then they all could vote for Ron Paul at the convention.
[10:52.000 --> 10:54.000]  So, folks, we do still have a chance.
[10:54.000 --> 11:04.000]  And as Richard was saying, concerning the delegates that were formerly assigned to Rick Santorum, folks,
[11:04.000 --> 11:10.000]  this is a very serious thing, and it's incredibly encouraging to all of us,
[11:10.000 --> 11:13.000]  and it should inspire us all to make it out this Saturday,
[11:13.000 --> 11:18.000]  because most, if not all, of those delegates are now unbound.
[11:18.000 --> 11:21.000]  They can vote for whoever they want, whomever they want.
[11:21.000 --> 11:28.000]  And if the Ron Paul supporters in those states were active and did what they were supposed to do
[11:28.000 --> 11:34.000]  and get out to their senatorial district conventions and fight to make it to their state conventions,
[11:34.000 --> 11:41.000]  if there are enough Ron Paul delegates, Ron Paul supporting delegates there that were formerly assigned to Rick Santorum,
[11:41.000 --> 11:44.000]  then they can vote for Ron Paul at the RNC.
[11:44.000 --> 11:51.000]  But if the Ron Paul supporters didn't make it out and didn't do what they were supposed to do, well, then we lose.
[11:51.000 --> 11:55.000]  So, folks, this just goes to show we need to show up.
[11:55.000 --> 12:00.000]  As I said on the PSA that's running on some of the affiliate stations right now,
[12:00.000 --> 12:04.000]  we need all hands on deck this Saturday.
[12:04.000 --> 12:08.000]  Let's use Williamson County as a model.
[12:08.000 --> 12:11.000]  They went in there, they came, they saw, and they kicked some behind.
[12:11.000 --> 12:15.000]  So, folks, let's do the same thing at Williamson County.
[12:15.000 --> 12:19.000]  Now, there are some, there's a, I mean, let's do the same thing here in Travis County.
[12:19.000 --> 12:25.000]  Now, there are a number of situations and issues to be aware of with all this redistricting going on.
[12:25.000 --> 12:27.000]  Richard, do you want to mention some stuff about that?
[12:27.000 --> 12:30.000]  You're actually in a different district than you thought you were going to be.
[12:30.000 --> 12:35.000]  No, the redistricting has really caused a lot of chaos.
[12:35.000 --> 12:42.000]  I mean, that's why we're not even having precinct conventions because of the redistricting court cases delaying our primary.
[12:42.000 --> 12:47.000]  We did not have our precinct conventions, which normally would have occurred on the day of our primary,
[12:47.000 --> 12:50.000]  which normally is the first Tuesday in March.
[12:50.000 --> 12:57.000]  As most listeners to the year program are probably well aware, our primary day now is going to be May 29th.
[12:57.000 --> 13:01.000]  So, we've still got pretty good ways before even our primary election.
[13:01.000 --> 13:10.000]  But so anyway, fast forward. Here we are nearly on the day of the Senatorial District Conventions for Travis County.
[13:10.000 --> 13:21.000]  And by the way, if you're in other counties, if you're registered voter in Texas, go to convention.texasgop.org.
[13:21.000 --> 13:24.000]  convention.texasgop.org.
[13:24.000 --> 13:28.000]  And check to see if your convention in your county is this Saturday as well.
[13:28.000 --> 13:34.000]  There are some huge counties like Harris County and I think Dallas County, Tarrant County.
[13:34.000 --> 13:38.000]  I think those, there's some major counties yet to have their conventions.
[13:38.000 --> 13:40.000]  They're coming up this Saturday.
[13:40.000 --> 13:47.000]  If you didn't have your convention last Saturday, like Williamson County, then your convention in your county is going to be this Saturday.
[13:47.000 --> 13:52.000]  And go check out that convention.texasgop.org and find out.
[13:52.000 --> 13:58.000]  And for those of you in Travis County, absolutely, we must show up in numbers Saturday morning.
[13:58.000 --> 14:08.000]  If you are not already credentialed, come on down as long as your registered Travis County voter show up at starting at 7.30.
[14:08.000 --> 14:10.000]  Registration process starts at 7.30.
[14:10.000 --> 14:16.000]  If you're not already credentialed, I would recommend, you know, getting there, 7.30, 7.45.
[14:16.000 --> 14:24.000]  You'll get credentialed to attend the convention, just be a registered Travis County voter, the affiliation to the Republican Party,
[14:24.000 --> 14:28.000]  and you'll get credentialed to attend the Senatorial Discussion Convention.
[14:28.000 --> 14:34.000]  And we need people there to represent for freedom and liberty.
[14:34.000 --> 14:35.000]  That's going to be key.
[14:35.000 --> 14:37.000]  And what Debra said earlier was right.
[14:37.000 --> 14:50.000]  Potentially, we could see delegates become unbound via majorities of freedom-loving individuals changing the rules of their party as they're going up through the convention process.
[14:50.000 --> 14:53.000]  That is a potential scenario.
[14:53.000 --> 15:05.000]  And with the other facts, with Rick Santorum dropping out early, I think it's going to create a huge vacuum of lack of interest.
[15:05.000 --> 15:13.000]  I think there's just going to be a huge lack of interest in these precinct conventions and precinct caucuses in other states as well.
[15:13.000 --> 15:22.000]  I think they're going to have a huge problem getting people to turn out for the convention process because, basically, who can really get excited about Romney?
[15:22.000 --> 15:24.000]  Well, really not that many people.
[15:24.000 --> 15:26.000]  There were some people excited about Santorum.
[15:26.000 --> 15:34.000]  Now, Santorum has dropped this campaign, suspended this campaign, so they're not going to attend their precinct conventions and caucuses.
[15:34.000 --> 15:49.000]  That opens the door absolutely wide open for the small, tireless, freedom-loving minority that is the Ron Paul faction to show up, not just to say Texas, but in the upcoming states that have yet to have their primaries.
[15:49.000 --> 15:56.000]  Potentially, that's where we could pull off a Hail Mary miracle at the RNC.
[15:56.000 --> 15:57.000]  Absolutely.
[15:57.000 --> 16:04.000]  I believe that it is totally possible, in fact, even likely, but we just have to show up.
[16:04.000 --> 16:17.000]  Richard, you were telling me something earlier this week that I thought was pretty incredible, which is that Travis County, they have to send something like 400-plus delegates to state.
[16:17.000 --> 16:22.000]  Half of those are the main delegates and half are the alternates.
[16:22.000 --> 16:27.000]  Well, I went down there on Monday to get credentialed and to try to go before the committee.
[16:27.000 --> 16:38.000]  They shut everything down early, and so most of the people that were on the list to see the nominations committee did not get in, and I did not get in.
[16:38.000 --> 16:43.000]  But the bottom line is there was only 50 or so people on the list on Monday.
[16:43.000 --> 16:47.000]  I would imagine there was only 50 or so people on the list Tuesday.
[16:47.000 --> 16:54.000]  So, folks, if you did not go to those committee meetings, get out there on Saturday.
[16:54.000 --> 17:00.000]  I'd be surprised if they even have 400 people show up that are not mostly Ron Paul supporters.
[17:00.000 --> 17:02.000]  America is in trouble.
[17:02.000 --> 17:04.000]  Washington is a disgrace.
[17:04.000 --> 17:07.000]  Government has become too big. It's overtaxing, overspending.
[17:07.000 --> 17:09.000]  We need to change direction.
[17:09.000 --> 17:10.000]  We really need change.
[17:10.000 --> 17:13.000]  You can't afford to make the same mistakes we've made in the past.
[17:13.000 --> 17:15.000]  Mitt Romney's reputation is a flip-flopper.
[17:15.000 --> 17:18.000]  He went the other way when he got paid to go the other way.
[17:18.000 --> 17:20.000]  There is need for economic stimulus.
[17:20.000 --> 17:22.000]  It's about serial hypocrisy.
[17:22.000 --> 17:24.000]  This election is about trust.
[17:24.000 --> 17:27.000]  There's been one true consistent candidate, and that's Dr. Ron Paul.
[17:27.000 --> 17:30.000]  Ron Paul has been so consistent from the very beginning.
[17:30.000 --> 17:32.000]  He seems like a more honest candidate.
[17:32.000 --> 17:35.000]  He tells the truth about what he believes, whether you like it or not.
[17:35.000 --> 17:40.000]  He's never once voted for a tax increase, never once voted for an unbalanced budget.
[17:40.000 --> 17:41.000]  Ron Paul's plan is bold.
[17:41.000 --> 17:44.000]  Cutting five departments is what we need.
[17:44.000 --> 17:48.000]  When he says he's going to cut a trillion dollars in the first year, I believe it.

[20:22.000 --> 20:30.000]  And I guess they don't want to support Ron Paul either and they don't like Mitt Romney because he's a socialist and a flip-flopper and he offered Obamacare and all of that.
[20:30.000 --> 20:40.000]  And so we have an unprecedented opportunity to charge in there and basically move in and take over.
[20:40.000 --> 20:49.000]  And as I was saying before we went to the break on Monday night, when I went to sign up, I went and got credentialed and it's no big deal.
[20:49.000 --> 20:54.000]  You just have to give your voter registration number and all of that and then they make you swear in.
[20:54.000 --> 21:08.000]  You take a little oath where basically you're just attesting that you have not voted in another party's primary and that you haven't participated or run for office in another primary for another party.
[21:08.000 --> 21:16.000]  Basically, if you've participated in another party's primary or another party's convention, you're disqualified.
[21:16.000 --> 21:29.000]  So if folks out there who are involved, if you voted in the libertarian primary, I don't know if it's taken place yet or if you are running for office on the libertarian ticket or participating in the libertarian convention
[21:29.000 --> 21:38.000]  or Democrat or anything like that, you can't participate in the Republican convention. That's basically the only rules, the only limitations there.
[21:38.000 --> 21:51.000]  But at any rate, there was only 50, I think I was number 53 and I think there was just maybe a couple after me on the list to see the nominations committee on Monday night.
[21:51.000 --> 22:02.000]  And by 9 o'clock, they had only seen 20 people. They were taking 10 minutes of person interviewing and I was like, I'm not going to sit around here so many times.
[22:02.000 --> 22:08.000]  Okay, and so I left and as it turned out, they shut the whole thing down by 9.30 anyway.
[22:08.000 --> 22:13.000]  Now, I don't know what the turnout was on Tuesday night. Do you know what the turnout was on Tuesday night, Richard?
[22:13.000 --> 22:24.000]  No, I don't, but I would surmise it would approximate what we saw on Monday which was somewhere between 50 and 60 people probably turned up to the nominations committee.
[22:24.000 --> 22:34.000]  Okay, so there you go. Only 100 people and I guarantee you most of those are Ron Paul supporters because I was there and you can tell who the Ron Paul supporters are.
[22:34.000 --> 22:43.000]  It's real obvious because the old timers, you know, you can just tell by the way they act that they've been involved in the party for a long time.
[22:43.000 --> 22:52.000]  You can tell by the way they talk and the Ron Paul supporters are all the newbies and they're like bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and they're old and young and all different races and everything.
[22:52.000 --> 22:59.000]  But at any rate, most of the people there were Ron Paul supporters. I would imagine it was the same amount on Tuesday.
[22:59.000 --> 23:09.000]  And so that's only 100, 120 people or so. Well, folks, Travis County has to send over 400 people to the state convention.
[23:09.000 --> 23:15.000]  And so that's why I'm saying everybody get out there all hands on deck.
[23:15.000 --> 23:23.000]  Even if you don't like the questions the nominations committee asks you or if you think that they would kick you out, they may not have a choice.
[23:23.000 --> 23:29.000]  They may have to send all of us to the state convention because of underattendance.
[23:29.000 --> 23:36.000]  We may all be just shoo-ins to the state convention no matter what just because of underattendance.
[23:36.000 --> 23:46.000]  And so, folks, we've all got to get out there and even if there is not a lack of attendance, we even more reason for us to get out there.
[23:46.000 --> 23:54.000]  Sorry about that, folks, so we're having a little trouble with the phones tonight. Even if there is not a lack of attendance this weekend,
[23:54.000 --> 24:02.000]  that's even more reason for everybody who's a Ron Paul supporter to get out to that convention so that we can make sure that we are a majority.
[24:02.000 --> 24:12.000]  We want to get one of our people nominated as, I mean, not nominated but elected as the permanent convention chair so that we can do things like
[24:12.000 --> 24:18.000]  make sure that our people are on the slate to go to state and all these different things.
[24:18.000 --> 24:20.000]  So, Richard, do you want to comment on that?
[24:20.000 --> 24:25.000]  Well, Deborah, I pretty much agree with everything you detailed out there and those statements that you made.

[24:37.000 --> 24:45.000]  or an alternate delegate and go to the Texas State Convention and we need to fill those rosters up and we need to fill these slates up
[24:45.000 --> 24:52.000]  to get as many Ron Paul fans and people that love Freedom and Liberty up to the Texas State Convention.
[24:52.000 --> 25:00.000]  It is so important, I can't even describe it, and with the scenario that's played out with the lack of interest from the establishment.
[25:00.000 --> 25:09.000]  I mean, imagine, who would think? Who would think? Here we have Obama's president. You would think there would be the same type of fervor right now
[25:09.000 --> 25:19.000]  that we saw with Obama and Hillary back in 2008. I mean, you've had growth and growth of people turning out to precinct conventions
[25:19.000 --> 25:27.000]  and going through the convention process on the Democrat side and you just thought with Obama being president, we'd be seeing that same phenomenon going on
[25:27.000 --> 25:37.000]  in the Republican side this time, but no. Here we are, a dearth of interest. It just opens the door wide open to the folks that love Freedom and Liberty
[25:37.000 --> 25:46.000]  to come in and participate and folks, it is quite an experience. I was fortunate enough to be like the tail end of the alternate delegate list
[25:46.000 --> 25:54.000]  to go to State of Texas Convention back in 2008 and it takes your time and effort and et cetera, but you know what?
[25:54.000 --> 26:05.000]  It's still an experience that I like and I'll remember and it makes you part of making a big change to get our Republican form of government back,
[26:05.000 --> 26:13.000]  our constitutional form of government back, and this is the process by which we can do it. At least it's one of the tools in our quiver to deal with.
[26:13.000 --> 26:25.000]  Now, Richard, you were almost at the bottom of the list of alternate delegates for state and guess what happened, folks? All those people, all those establishment people
[26:25.000 --> 26:35.000]  who fought so hard to become a delegate to go to State Convention, guess what? They were no shows. They were a wall at the State Convention
[26:35.000 --> 26:46.000]  and so Richard got to be a full-blown delegate at the State Convention even though he was at the bottom of the list as an alternate because he showed up.
[26:46.000 --> 26:54.000]  And so that's what I'm saying. We need all hands on deck on Saturday. Everybody needs to show up. If you're not credentialed, try to get there as early as possible.
[26:54.000 --> 27:01.000]  Registration starts at 7.30. The convention starts at 9. If you've already been credentialed, you probably don't need to get there right at 7.30 a.m.
[27:01.000 --> 27:08.000]  But you need to get there because just showing up, I mean, you know, it's like the old saying, showing up is half the battle.
[27:08.000 --> 27:14.000]  I would say in this situation, just showing up is probably 80% to 90% of the battle.
[27:14.000 --> 27:32.000]  Deborah, you're absolutely right. And the location of that is the Hyde Park Baptist Church Building, 3901 Speedway in Austin, Texas. Hyde Park Baptist Church Building, 3901 Speedway. We can go in there and dominate and send a wall-to-wall faction of wrongfall delegates to the
[27:32.000 --> 27:44.000]  Texas State Convention. It would be very exciting to do that. And then following that, we can look forward to getting some folks up to the RNC. And Deborah, I appreciate you really taking an interest on this.
[27:44.000 --> 27:55.000]  And it's obvious that you've really been studying it hard and really looking at it and seeing that there is this golden jewel, golden jewel of opportunity here.
[27:55.000 --> 28:04.000]  And it may just be that, you know, we've missed it because it is such an involved process. It's a state-by-state process. You know, it's an arcane process.
[28:04.000 --> 28:13.000]  You've got precinct conventions in some places, precinct caucuses and others. And here in the state of Texas, you've got neither. You've got a senatorial district convention to kick it off.
[28:13.000 --> 28:27.000]  It's just a mismatch of flaming boots that we have to go through. But you know what? This is the way that we can do it. And it can be done. And if nothing else, we've got to do this as big as we can in 2012.
[28:27.000 --> 28:38.000]  Because Lord willing, if we do have till 2016, then in 2016 I think we're going to come in there and we're going to be able to clinch a nomination in 2016.
[28:38.000 --> 28:53.000]  But a lot of that groundwork and foundation is laid at this convention process in 2012 because whatever effort we end up putting out, we're going to double, triple, quadruple or twin-touple come in 2016.
[28:53.000 --> 29:02.000]  Absolutely. And we send a big message to the establishment. We're not putting up with it anymore. We are getting active. We are getting involved.
[29:02.000 --> 29:18.000]  And we're using the political machine against them. And so again, folks, 3901 Speedway, the Hyde Park Baptist Church, the way the convention is going to start is that all of the congressional districts are going to be together.
[29:18.000 --> 29:25.000]  The convention is going to start together for all of these, for everybody. All the senatorial district conventions are going to be together.

[34:36.000 --> 34:49.000]  Well, I have good news and bad news, and I think the good news will come as a shock to a lot of people in the Liberty Movement because, as I will describe later, they apparently do not understand the good news.
[34:49.000 --> 35:03.000]  The good news is this. In my travels in this part of the state, Eastern Connecticut District, I'm running for Congress in, I see one candidate having a lot of signs everywhere,
[35:03.000 --> 35:11.000]  having a lot of activists everywhere and having the greatest presence everywhere. And do you know who that candidate is?
[35:11.000 --> 35:12.000]  No, I don't.
[35:12.000 --> 35:13.000]  Ron Paul.
[35:13.000 --> 35:15.000]  I was hoping it would be him.
[35:15.000 --> 35:24.000]  It's Ron Paul. I don't see any Romney signs. I don't see any Rick Torum signs. I don't see any Newt Gingrich signs.
[35:24.000 --> 35:32.000]  The Herman Cain thing died out. Everything else died out. But Ron Paul is by far the most prevalent. Do you want to know who's second?
[35:32.000 --> 35:35.000]  Is there a second?
[35:35.000 --> 35:37.000]  Yes, there is. Gary Johnson.
[35:37.000 --> 35:39.000]  Interesting. Okay.
[35:39.000 --> 35:41.000]  Do you want to know who's third?

[35:45.000 --> 36:01.000]  Yeah, a very distant third. So the thing that I want to stress here, very importantly, because again, and I stress this not by mistake, not by accident, but because I want everybody to understand exactly what's going on,
[36:01.000 --> 36:15.000]  especially if you are involved in this, is Ron Paul has by far the most boots on the ground. Now, I'm going to repeat, Ron Paul has the most boots on the ground in the presidential contest.
[36:15.000 --> 36:27.000]  Now, the same was true of Peter Schiff in 2012. As a matter of fact, in the Republican Party, Peter Schiff contributed 95% of the Republican activists.
[36:27.000 --> 36:43.000]  Now, I'll repeat that again. 95% of all the activists that were going door to door, doing the petitions, trying to get people into the Republican Party were working for Peter Schiff to try to get him into the United States Senate.
[36:43.000 --> 36:51.000]  And I argue he should have been the United States Senator from Connecticut in 2010, but he was not.
[36:51.000 --> 37:06.000]  Now, I stress this for a very important reason. A lot of the activists seem to think, and seem to be of the persuasion that it's a matter of a simple majority, and that is not the case.
[37:06.000 --> 37:21.000]  The fact is, and again, I stress this again, and I really use these words very strongly, is the problem that we're having here is a lot of people aren't thinking, okay, well, what if a vote fraud happens?
[37:21.000 --> 37:34.000]  What if convention fraud happens? People aren't taking that into consideration and making plans. People are assuming that, okay, well, if we show up, all is going to be well and good,
[37:34.000 --> 37:39.000]  and we won't turn the lights out of the convention, and we're not going to have to go to court, so on and so forth.
[37:39.000 --> 37:45.000]  Yeah, well, we know better than that around here. We've done dozens of shows on vote fraud.
[37:45.000 --> 37:58.000]  Yeah, and I'm saying this from personal experience, having gone to the Connecticut State Supreme Court myself, pro se, please, if you want to support Ron Paul, if you want to go into the Republican Party,
[37:58.000 --> 38:12.000]  and decide about it, go ahead and do that, but don't be naive enough to think that you don't have to have a strategy in place if litigation is required to assert your rights.
[38:12.000 --> 38:26.000]  Well, of course not, and that's one of the reasons why we do want people to be delegates and to try to make it to the RNC, because if there is vote fraud at the convention, then the delegates would have standing to file lawsuits.
[38:26.000 --> 38:40.000]  But the general public does not have standing to file lawsuits over this issue, only the candidates do, and if Ron Paul is not going to file lawsuits over this apparent electronic voting machine fraud issue,
[38:40.000 --> 38:49.000]  then we have to get other people lined up with standing in order to file these lawsuits, and that's another very good reason why folks need to be the delegates.
[38:49.000 --> 39:05.000]  And also, they do have paper voting at the conventions, and so if there is a majority of Ron Paul supporters at the convention, then I trust that they will set up rules,
[39:05.000 --> 39:16.000]  they will be able to vote, to put rules in place, to have hand counted paper ballots in public view at the convention, so that there won't be any vote fraud taking place at the convention.
[39:16.000 --> 39:20.000]  We just have to get our numbers in there to make that happen.
[39:20.000 --> 39:34.000]  Now, I will say this, as chairman of the Libertarian Party of Connecticut, I am available to anybody who's trying to support Ron Paul who finds that the same old thing has gone on in the Republican convention.
[39:34.000 --> 39:42.000]  If you need help, if you need assistance, and you feel the need to go ahead and file suit, I will be available to you in Connecticut,
[39:42.000 --> 39:50.000]  because I can tell you, based on my contacts in the Republican party, the same fix is in for Linda McMahon to get Senate nomination.
[39:50.000 --> 39:58.000]  Well, and this is another reason why we need as many of our people to run for office on whatever party ticket you may choose,
[39:58.000 --> 40:13.000]  because again, you have to either be a delegate or a candidate, somebody specific withstanding who is directly harmed as a result of this voter machine fraud.
[40:13.000 --> 40:22.000]  And unfortunately, even though the general public is getting ripped off, the courts are not going to give the general public standing over the voting machine fraud issue.
[40:22.000 --> 40:28.000]  It's going to have to be a candidate or it's going to have to be like a delegate at a convention or something like that.
[40:28.000 --> 40:38.000]  So people get out there, run for office, become delegates and all this sort of thing so that not only we can hopefully make a difference with plan A,
[40:38.000 --> 40:43.000]  but if not, plan B, you'll have standing for lawsuits. Excellent point, Dan.
[40:43.000 --> 40:52.000]  And importantly, going to plan B, you know, plan B, if you're going to go out there and you're going to support Ron Paul and you're going to join the Republican party,
[40:52.000 --> 41:03.000]  have a plan B. That means learning the Connecticut General Practice book, studying it, looking at, you know, how you have standing, how you file a lawsuit,
[41:03.000 --> 41:11.000]  learning how to fill out a summits, learning how to, you know, take up the federal lawsuit if you have to, learning the federal rules of procedure.
[41:11.000 --> 41:17.000]  Is that a jurisdictionary, folks? Yeah, and that's a very good course and I direct people toward that.
[41:17.000 --> 41:29.000]  But more importantly to the point, this is not an old warning. This is a warning I've had for the last four years and this is a warning I have given to the Tea Party itself
[41:29.000 --> 41:38.000]  because the Tea Party came along back in, you know, 2010 and they had this wonderful idea that, oh, if we just have enough of us,
[41:38.000 --> 41:47.000]  we could take over the Republican Party. And, you know, lo and behold, you know, based on the experience that I had with contacts in the Republican Party
[41:47.000 --> 41:52.000]  who were totally disgusted with the process, you know, I said, yes, here's what they're going to do.
[41:52.000 --> 41:57.000]  Peter Schiff isn't going to get to show his video at the convention. They're going to have delegates on the floor.
[41:57.000 --> 42:01.000]  They're not allowed to be delegates on the floor and they're going to twist arms and all that.
[42:01.000 --> 42:08.000]  And more importantly, they're going to switch from Robert's rules of order to Mason's. And the Tea Party was like, Dan, what's the difference?
[42:08.000 --> 42:15.000]  And I've said 2,000 pages. You've only got a few weeks. Right. And again, this goes back to numbers because if we are a majority,
[42:15.000 --> 42:21.000]  then those types of parliamentary tricks will not happen because we will not let them happen.
[42:21.000 --> 42:31.000]  That's why we're talking earlier about having, getting nominated and getting elected, our, I mean, not a precinct chair, the chair for the convention,
[42:31.000 --> 42:36.000]  the senatorial district convention, that is a Ron Paul supporter. We already know who we're going to nominate.
[42:36.000 --> 42:43.000]  And if there is a majority of us there, then our guy will be the convention chair.
[42:43.000 --> 42:51.000]  We can completely throw out all the rules from the rules committee. We can throw out the entire slate from the nominations committee.
[42:51.000 --> 42:59.000]  So sometimes it really does boil down to numbers because if you don't have the numbers, you're not going to be able to override all of those parliamentary tricks.
[42:59.000 --> 43:07.000]  So sometimes it really does come down to numbers and getting yourself in those positions of power within these conventions.
[43:07.000 --> 43:15.000]  And so I do urge everyone to get out there. It's very important. You'll also become, you will also have standing.
[43:15.000 --> 43:22.000]  And so I think that Dan made a lot of excellent points and folks here in Texas, you don't have to become a member of the Republican Party.
[43:22.000 --> 43:27.000]  A lot of states are open primary states. They're open convention states.
[43:27.000 --> 43:32.000]  You don't have to be a member of the party in order to participate in the convention.
[43:32.000 --> 43:41.000]  You just have to be a registered voter. And here in this district, as long as you haven't participated in another party's convention, you're good to go.

[01:24:09.240 --> 01:24:13.240]  who wrote this letter for legal malpractice.

[01:25:00.240 --> 01:25:03.240]  But you should have seen this ethics hearing today
[01:25:03.240 --> 01:25:06.240]  because the ethics hearing was going on at the same time
[01:25:06.240 --> 01:25:08.240]  that the suit was filed.
[01:25:08.240 --> 01:25:10.240]  And at the ethics hearing,
[01:25:10.240 --> 01:25:12.240]  they already declared her off the board,
[01:25:12.240 --> 01:25:14.240]  and the ethics hearing would only apply
[01:25:14.240 --> 01:25:17.240]  if she was already still on the board.
[01:25:17.240 --> 01:25:20.240]  On one hand, they were making the argument that she was on.
[01:25:20.240 --> 01:25:23.240]  On the other hand, they were making the argument that she was off.
[01:25:23.240 --> 01:25:27.240]  So the board of ethics, by the time I walked in
[01:25:27.240 --> 01:25:29.240]  with my attorney friend,
[01:25:29.240 --> 01:25:31.240]  and her attorney was already working on them,
[01:25:31.240 --> 01:25:33.240]  they were pee in their pants.

[01:25:35.240 --> 01:25:39.240]  Like, the attorney that was consulting the ethics board,
[01:25:39.240 --> 01:25:42.240]  he said, can we have a copy of the quorum to complain?
[01:25:42.240 --> 01:25:46.240]  I'm just sitting there, raising my hand, waving it in the air.

[01:26:22.240 --> 01:26:26.240]  Well, basically, because subject matter jurisdiction would apply

[01:26:29.240 --> 01:26:32.240]  And they were trying to trap her attorney who,

[01:32:55.240 --> 01:32:59.240]  Our Texas law is concerned that is a lie, okay?
[01:32:59.240 --> 01:33:05.240]  You are not an investigative detention. You are in a custodial arrest.
[01:33:05.240 --> 01:33:09.240]  There is no question about that in Texas law.
[01:33:09.240 --> 01:33:13.240]  The third question is, am I free to go?
[01:33:13.240 --> 01:33:17.240]  We ask questions two and three for the following reason.
[01:33:17.240 --> 01:33:31.240]  We're going to prove with question two that the officer is either A, knowingly and willingly lying to us an alleged suspect in order to get information from them.
[01:33:31.240 --> 01:33:41.240]  And we're going to ask question three because the courts have said that you cannot,
[01:33:41.240 --> 01:33:52.240]  that any reasonable person, when they feel that they are unable to depart from a scene of an investigation of their own volition,
[01:33:52.240 --> 01:33:55.240]  that they are in a custodial arrest.
[01:33:55.240 --> 01:34:00.240]  We do that so the courts can't later come back and say that the officer,
[01:34:00.240 --> 01:34:08.240]  any information provided to the officer was fair game because he was investigating, he didn't detain you.
[01:34:08.240 --> 01:34:14.240]  Well, the moment he answers no to question three, he is detaining you.
[01:34:14.240 --> 01:34:25.240]  Now that we've established the fact of a custodial arrest, even though Texas law already says you're in one, we now have doubly confirmed that.
[01:34:25.240 --> 01:34:36.240]  Now, if we invoke our Fifth Amendment rights and the officer tries to arrest us for failure to produce a license or any of these other things,
[01:34:36.240 --> 01:34:42.240]  they're actually punishing us for invoking the right to remain silent.
[01:34:42.240 --> 01:34:51.240]  They're punishing us for the right to not testify and provide information against ourselves that they can use against us in a court of law.
[01:34:51.240 --> 01:34:53.240]  Now think about it.
[01:34:53.240 --> 01:34:56.240]  He has not read you your rights.
[01:34:56.240 --> 01:34:59.240]  You are in a custodial arrest.
[01:34:59.240 --> 01:35:14.240]  And even though Texas law says you have to give him these things, that would make Texas law a direct violation of your unalienable rights to have those rights protected,
[01:35:14.240 --> 01:35:19.240]  to not produce that information and not give it to the officer so he can use it against you.
[01:35:19.240 --> 01:35:24.240]  Because without reading you your rights and having you in a custodial arrest,
[01:35:24.240 --> 01:35:33.240]  Texas case law is unanimous on the fact that those statements cannot be used because they were not made voluntarily.
[01:35:33.240 --> 01:35:40.240]  Any evidence seized without a warrant cannot be used because it was seized illegally.
[01:35:40.240 --> 01:35:45.240]  And that's exactly what he does when he says, give me your license, registration and proof of insurance.
[01:35:45.240 --> 01:35:53.240]  That is all evidence he uses to collect information to use against you in court.
[01:35:53.240 --> 01:35:59.240]  So without reading you your rights and informing you that you are in a custodial arrest,
[01:35:59.240 --> 01:36:04.240]  he has basically seized information illegally.
[01:36:04.240 --> 01:36:07.240]  And you have the right to say, no, sorry, not happening.
[01:36:07.240 --> 01:36:17.240]  Then you have the right to sue his badge off in federal court for violating those rights under color of Texas law.
[01:36:17.240 --> 01:36:19.240]  Does that help?
[01:36:19.240 --> 01:36:24.240]  Well, let's start. Say he says no, you're not free to leave and ask you to identify yourself.
[01:36:24.240 --> 01:36:27.240]  Do you at that point refuse to do that?
[01:36:27.240 --> 01:36:32.240]  No, I say this is my name and that's all I'm giving you.
[01:36:32.240 --> 01:36:33.240]  Or this is my name.
[01:36:33.240 --> 01:36:37.240]  Texas law says you have to give them a name address and date of birth.
[01:36:37.240 --> 01:36:46.240]  The problem with that is Texas law says that they can only charge you with failure to identify
[01:36:46.240 --> 01:36:52.240]  only if the officer has already lawfully arrested you for something.
[01:36:52.240 --> 01:36:56.240]  Now this is where the officer runs into a real problem.
[01:36:56.240 --> 01:37:00.240]  He just told you to your face, you're not under arrest.
[01:37:00.240 --> 01:37:09.240]  So how in the world can he say I'm arresting you for failure to identify if he hasn't already lawfully arrested you?
[01:37:09.240 --> 01:37:16.240]  Well, I would think the presumption is most officers think that that is in fact a violation of law to refuse to identify yourself.
[01:37:16.240 --> 01:37:21.240]  Well, they may think that, but stupidity on their part is not my problem.
[01:37:21.240 --> 01:37:24.240]  They're supposed to know the law.
[01:37:24.240 --> 01:37:30.240]  The fact that they don't proves they shouldn't be doing the job in the first place.
[01:37:30.240 --> 01:37:38.240]  And I have absolutely no problem with firing an incompetent employee.
[01:37:38.240 --> 01:37:45.240]  And when these guys lie about the law, misrepresent the law, or intentionally ignore the law,
[01:37:45.240 --> 01:37:53.240]  or flat out do not know the law or understand it, they are an incompetent employee.
[01:37:53.240 --> 01:37:58.240]  Well, my question is, do you wind up physically getting hold off anyway?
[01:37:58.240 --> 01:37:59.240]  Because they're mad at me.
[01:37:59.240 --> 01:38:02.240]  Sometimes, yes, most of the time, no.
[01:38:02.240 --> 01:38:11.240]  I have actually only been physically taken to jail out of the dozens of times I've been stopped only twice,
[01:38:11.240 --> 01:38:14.240]  once in Lufkin and once in Round Rock.
[01:38:14.240 --> 01:38:18.240]  In Lufkin, they held me in a jail cell for eight hours.
[01:38:18.240 --> 01:38:22.240]  Then told me that because the jail had a contract with the city,
[01:38:22.240 --> 01:38:28.240]  that if I didn't pay them a bond in eight hours, then they had to release me.
[01:38:28.240 --> 01:38:35.240]  So they basically held me in ransom demand in the jail cell for eight hours.
[01:38:35.240 --> 01:38:41.240]  Then in Rockville, they actually arrested me for about 40-some odd minutes.
[01:38:41.240 --> 01:38:49.240]  Then the officer chauffured me back to my car and stood there and watched me get back in the same car
[01:38:49.240 --> 01:38:55.240]  that had no plates and had no stickers and knowing full well that I did not have a license,
[01:38:55.240 --> 01:39:00.240]  watch me get back on the road and head home.
[01:39:00.240 --> 01:39:03.240]  Now, how's that going to look when he testifies in court?
[01:39:03.240 --> 01:39:09.240]  You're saying I broke the law, but you yourself gave me a ride back to my car.
[01:39:09.240 --> 01:39:16.240]  You sat right there and watched me pull out on the road again and continue in my travels.
[01:39:16.240 --> 01:39:21.240]  If I was breaking the law the first time that caused you to arrest me,
[01:39:21.240 --> 01:39:28.240]  then how in the world could you possibly have in good faith and conscience in your duty
[01:39:28.240 --> 01:39:32.240]  let me get back on the road to commit the same alleged crime?
[01:39:32.240 --> 01:39:37.240]  The only answer I can come up with is you're fully aware that it was never a crime to begin with,
[01:39:37.240 --> 01:39:40.240]  which makes the initial arrest illegal.
[01:39:40.240 --> 01:39:45.240]  So which way do you want to cut this cake?
[01:39:45.240 --> 01:39:52.240]  Another question about section 543.003 of the transportation code on the notice to appear.

[01:39:59.240 --> 01:40:08.240]  Absolutely. I cannot find a single place in Texas law that authorizes any court to issue a warrant

[01:40:17.240 --> 01:40:26.240]  But for a Class C, I cannot find any authority in Texas law anywhere that allows them to issue a warrant.
[01:40:26.240 --> 01:40:34.240]  Well, I was specifically referring to the section underneath 007, or 008, the violation by the officer.
[01:40:34.240 --> 01:40:39.240]  Have you all done after any officers for issuing citations that don't have a specific time on it?
[01:40:39.240 --> 01:40:45.240]  We could do that if we were suing them in the state for violations of the state law, but we're not.

[01:50:01.240 --> 01:50:11.240]  Like when the officer asks for your license, well, what Randy does and what we tell a lot of people to do is have an ID card and a driver's license, both.

[01:50:14.240 --> 01:50:22.240]  And basically, if you want, you could present the ID card, but if you're not under arrest, you don't even have to do that.
[01:50:22.240 --> 01:50:37.240]  But, you know, once you get to a certain point in the conversation, you could offer up the ID card and say, well, if you're insisting on seeing my ID, even though I'm not under arrest, reluctantly and under duress, I'll show you my ID.
[01:50:37.240 --> 01:50:43.240]  And because you say I'm not in transportation right now, I'm not using my driver's license right now.
[01:50:43.240 --> 01:51:00.240]  And if they insist on seeing your driver's license or else they're going to haul you to jail, then you tell them, okay, for the record, I want it to be known that under duress, I am being forced to show my driver's license or else I will be kidnapped and taken to jail.
[01:51:00.240 --> 01:51:06.240]  But by no means is this prima facia evidence that I am engaged in commerce or in transportation.
[01:51:06.240 --> 01:51:18.240]  But to the contrary, I will assert again that I am not in transportation, I am not in commerce, I am only showing my driver's license under coercion and threat of being taken to jail.
[01:51:18.240 --> 01:51:28.240]  Because if you just hand over your driver's license, then that establishes prima facia evidence that you are in transportation.
[01:51:28.240 --> 01:51:42.240]  And if you get that whole conversation recorded, which you should always record every traffic stop anyway, then you can use that down the line in your lawsuit that you were definitely not in transportation.
[01:51:42.240 --> 01:51:49.240]  Yeah, what about if you don't have the quick app calling 911 because they record the calls and you can...
[01:51:49.240 --> 01:51:55.240]  They'll try to press charges against you for making a false 911 call.
