[00:00.000 --> 00:04.400] This news brief brought to you by the International News Next.
[00:04.400 --> 00:09.600] The UN's refugee agency said Friday up to one million people have fled their homes because
[00:09.600 --> 00:14.920] of violence following Ivory Coast's disputed November elections, most of them being from
[00:14.920 --> 00:20.400] Abidjan where violence between forces loyal to presidential pretender Laurent Bagbo and
[00:20.400 --> 00:27.200] the internationally recognized election winner Alessane Ouattara have intensified.
[00:27.200 --> 00:33.000] 331 U.S. diplomatic officials in Pakistan, most of them suspected of espionage, are to
[00:33.000 --> 00:34.520] leave the country.
[00:34.520 --> 00:40.240] The secret deal between the U.S. and Pakistan follows the highly unpopular release of CIA
[00:40.240 --> 00:44.400] contractor Raymond Davis who had been charged with murdering two men.
[00:44.400 --> 00:50.120] Davis was recently freed by a court under a blood money deal whereby two million dollars
[00:50.120 --> 00:53.080] was paid to the families of the dead men.
[00:53.080 --> 00:59.400] An Indiana prosecutor resigned this week after leaked emails showed he suggested Wisconsin
[00:59.400 --> 01:04.840] Governor Scott Walker stage a fake attack on himself to discredit unions protesting
[01:04.840 --> 01:06.640] his budget repair bill.
[01:06.640 --> 01:12.120] Despite widespread opposition, the governor signed a bill March 11th that eliminated most
[01:12.120 --> 01:14.400] union rights for public employees.
[01:14.400 --> 01:20.600] In a February 19th email, Indiana Deputy Prosecutor Carlos Lamb told Walker the protest presented
[01:20.600 --> 01:25.440] quote a good opportunity for a false flag operation.
[01:25.440 --> 01:32.720] U.S. B-2 bombers have dropped dozens of 2,000 pound bombs on Libya.
[01:32.720 --> 01:36.960] These massive bombs along with the cruise missiles launched from British and French
[01:36.960 --> 01:41.040] planes and ships all contain depleted uranium warheads.
[01:41.040 --> 01:46.560] D.U., the waste product from enriching uranium ore, is highly valued by the military for
[01:46.560 --> 01:51.720] its ability to punch through armored vehicles and buildings, then erupt into a burning cloud
[01:51.720 --> 01:52.720] of vapor.
[01:52.720 --> 01:58.240] The vapor settles as radioactive dust which is easily inhaled and may remain in the lungs
[01:58.240 --> 02:00.440] or other organs for years.
[02:00.440 --> 02:05.920] Internalized D.U. can cause kidney damage, cancers of the lung and bone, skin disorders,
[02:05.920 --> 02:11.320] neurocognitive disorders, chromosome damage, immune deficiency syndromes, and rare kidney
[02:11.320 --> 02:13.200] and bowel diseases.
[02:13.200 --> 02:19.080] That women exposed to D.U. may give birth to infants with genetic defects.
[02:19.080 --> 02:23.480] Tens of thousands of anti-government protesters hit the streets of Sana'a, Yemen's capital
[02:23.480 --> 02:28.440] Friday, calling for an end to President Ali Abdullah Saleh's 32-year rule.
[02:28.440 --> 02:33.560] In a speech on state TV Friday, Saleh threatened those standing against him and said he would
[02:33.560 --> 02:35.600] listen to the demands of the people.
[02:35.600 --> 02:40.920] Saleh also pledged to hand over power but only to capable, responsible hands.
[02:40.920 --> 02:46.240] Numerous diplomats and generals have abandoned Saleh since security forces massacred 50
[02:46.240 --> 02:48.520] demonstrators in Sana'a last Friday.
[02:48.520 --> 02:53.280] Soldiers who abandoned the President were deployed by rebel general Ali Mohsen to protect
[02:53.280 --> 03:20.320] protesters on what activists called the Day of Departure.
[03:53.280 --> 04:19.840] All right, if you get hot, then you must be cool.
[04:19.840 --> 04:21.960] You must get cooled down.
[04:21.960 --> 04:23.920] Pull your heels, bad boys.
[04:23.920 --> 04:29.280] This is the rule of law here on ruleoflawradio.com.
[04:29.280 --> 04:31.400] I am Deborah Stevens.
[04:31.400 --> 04:39.280] I am here with my esteemed co-host, Randy Kelton, Eddie Craig, and of course, I'm Deborah
[04:39.280 --> 04:40.280] Stevens.
[04:40.280 --> 04:43.680] Tonight, we have a very special show lined up for y'all.
[04:43.680 --> 04:49.280] Speaking of bad boys, we're going to be discussing one very bad boy that most of you, or maybe
[04:49.280 --> 04:53.960] not most of you, but some of you may not have realized just how bad of a boy this man is.
[04:53.960 --> 05:01.160] We're talking about Bernard Von Nauthaus, and tonight, we are going to be breaking down
[05:01.160 --> 05:02.160] the case.
[05:02.160 --> 05:03.840] I've read the indictments.
[05:03.840 --> 05:06.000] I've read some of the pleadings in the case.
[05:06.000 --> 05:10.760] I've pulled the case down from PACER, and I've also read the statutes they've charged
[05:10.760 --> 05:11.760] him with.
[05:11.760 --> 05:14.680] I've read some quotes from Bernard himself.
[05:14.680 --> 05:20.400] I've read passages from his very own book that he's penned in his own hand, and I have
[05:20.400 --> 05:25.760] to say, I'm sorry, folks, he had it coming to him, and we are going to be discussing
[05:25.760 --> 05:32.080] this more thoroughly in the show in the upcoming segments, but first, since tonight, we are
[05:32.080 --> 05:36.840] on the subject of money and silver and currency systems and monetary systems.
[05:36.840 --> 05:43.200] I'm bringing on one of our sponsors, very special guests, Chad and Becky from Capricoin
[05:43.200 --> 05:46.240] and Bullion, Chad, Becky, thank you, and welcome to Rule of Law.
[05:46.240 --> 05:47.240] Thank you, Deborah.
[05:47.240 --> 05:48.240] Thank you.
[05:48.240 --> 05:49.240] Yes.
[05:49.240 --> 05:54.040] Chad and Becky, they are the owners of Capricoin and Bullion here in Austin, Texas.
[05:54.040 --> 05:59.760] They're one of our sponsors, one of our biggest sponsors, most helpful sponsors, and folks,
[05:59.760 --> 06:03.880] I wanted to bring Chad and Becky on to plug their new store.
[06:03.880 --> 06:08.200] They had to move because their business is booming lately.
[06:08.200 --> 06:12.000] Hopefully, we've helped with that.
[06:12.000 --> 06:16.560] Tell us about your store, and also, you have your very own coin now.
[06:16.560 --> 06:19.760] Yes, we do, but it does not say dollars on it.
[06:19.760 --> 06:21.760] It does not say dollars on it, yes.
[06:21.760 --> 06:22.760] That's the big-
[06:22.760 --> 06:23.760] We will not be getting in trouble.
[06:23.760 --> 06:28.160] Right, so tell us your new location and tell us about the new coin.
[06:28.160 --> 06:29.160] I have one.
[06:29.160 --> 06:30.440] It's sitting right in front of me right now.
[06:30.440 --> 06:33.440] It's beautiful, and I love it, so give us the breakdown, folks.
[06:33.440 --> 06:34.440] Go ahead, Becky.
[06:34.440 --> 06:42.800] Well, first and foremost, our new location, we are located at 7304 Burnet Road, exactly
[06:42.800 --> 06:46.920] 1.2 miles north of our previous location.
[06:46.920 --> 06:55.360] We sit right next to Ichiban Sushi, and Jeannie Carwash is on the north side of Ichiban, and
[06:55.360 --> 07:02.800] we have rear entrance in the back, and also parking in the back, and it's a great location.
[07:02.800 --> 07:08.280] We're really excited about it, and thanks to Rule of Law and our customers that we value
[07:08.280 --> 07:15.400] so much, we did need to expand our facilities, so we have done that.
[07:15.400 --> 07:23.000] And speaking of the coin, yes, that is something that we are very proud of, and we had our-
[07:23.000 --> 07:28.480] basically our logo minted with our website, and it's still a toy out.
[07:28.480 --> 07:36.080] The fine silver with an eagle on the reverse with the Constitution hanging out of its mouth,
[07:36.080 --> 07:40.360] and so we're excited about that, yes, and we offer at a very low price, just as any
[07:40.360 --> 07:44.920] other generic round, about plus $1.50, so there's no additional cost for that.
[07:44.920 --> 07:46.640] And Deborah, we're glad you got some today.
[07:46.640 --> 07:49.720] Oh, yes, and folks, I got to tell you, it's sitting right in front of me.
[07:49.720 --> 07:50.720] I'm looking at it.
[07:50.720 --> 07:51.720] It's in my hand.
[07:51.720 --> 07:52.720] It is a beautiful coin.
[07:52.720 --> 07:53.720] It's very shiny.
[07:53.720 --> 07:58.640] It's not the, I guess, the brushed metal like the newer silver eagles.
[07:58.640 --> 07:59.640] It's not the frosted.
[07:59.640 --> 08:00.640] Yes, it's not the frosted.
[08:00.640 --> 08:01.640] It's a shiny metal.
[08:01.640 --> 08:03.480] It says Capital Coin and Bullying.
[08:03.480 --> 08:09.240] It's got their logo, which is an emblem of the Capitol building with sort of an oval
[08:09.240 --> 08:16.240] around it, and it's got their website, and indeed, it says 1 troy ounce.999 fine silver
[08:16.240 --> 08:20.680] with the eagle on the back with the Constitution, and I will note, it does not say the word
[08:20.680 --> 08:21.680] dollar anywhere.
[08:21.680 --> 08:22.680] No.
[08:22.680 --> 08:30.520] And I'll tell you what, just a quick reference, they can, listeners or customers can go to
[08:30.520 --> 08:34.440] our website under the blog tab at the top.
[08:34.440 --> 08:41.080] You click there on the latest entry, that is where we are announcing our bullion rounds,
[08:41.080 --> 08:45.160] and you can actually see a picture there if you want to view that.
[08:45.160 --> 08:46.480] Highly recommend it, folks.
[08:46.480 --> 08:48.200] Please support Chad and Becky.
[08:48.200 --> 08:54.240] So y'all have a new location, you've got a new coin, and it's a great shop.
[08:54.240 --> 09:01.360] And so Chad and Becky, let the listeners know, like, what can they expect coming up?
[09:01.360 --> 09:04.800] I hear that perhaps y'all are considering having a little open house.
[09:04.800 --> 09:05.800] Is that right?
[09:05.800 --> 09:06.800] Yes.
[09:06.800 --> 09:10.000] I'm trying to talk Chad into doing that, yes.
[09:10.000 --> 09:15.200] I think what we're trying to do here probably in the last few weeks is sort of rev up our
[09:15.200 --> 09:22.240] marketing a little bit, so we've implemented some new strategies for that, and that being
[09:22.240 --> 09:23.240] one of them.
[09:23.240 --> 09:30.440] You know, we've been here in the Austin location for going on two years now, and we've never
[09:30.440 --> 09:35.960] officially had any type of open house, and so we'd like to do that, and of course invite
[09:35.960 --> 09:42.760] you all, and just ask for refreshments or whatever, just kind of to hang out, to say
[09:42.760 --> 09:44.360] thank you to our customers once again.
[09:44.360 --> 09:45.360] Amen.
[09:45.360 --> 09:46.360] Yeah.
[09:46.360 --> 09:47.360] I think that would be a great idea.
[09:47.360 --> 09:48.360] I do, too.
[09:48.360 --> 09:49.360] Bring some wine, bring some beer.
[09:49.360 --> 09:50.360] Exactly.
[09:50.360 --> 09:51.360] We'll have a little music.
[09:51.360 --> 09:52.360] We will do that.
[09:52.360 --> 09:56.360] And also we're thinking of having a raffle, and so we can maybe, you know.
[09:56.360 --> 09:57.360] Give away free silver.
[09:57.360 --> 09:59.360] Free silver, who wouldn't want that?
[09:59.360 --> 10:00.360] Absolutely.
[10:00.360 --> 10:05.960] So also, when I was up there today, y'all have a new marketing plan where folks can
[10:05.960 --> 10:08.200] help boost your ratings on the search engines.
[10:08.200 --> 10:11.000] Why don't you tell us about that?
[10:11.000 --> 10:12.000] That is correct.
[10:12.000 --> 10:18.160] We have, there are postcard sized cards, so when you come into the shop, if you are happy
[10:18.160 --> 10:27.840] with your customer experience, we invite you to go to one of the five major search engines,
[10:27.840 --> 10:32.760] such as Google or Bing, Yahoo, Yelp, et cetera.
[10:32.760 --> 10:37.520] If you leave us feedback, and we can identify you leaving feedback, if you bring in the
[10:37.520 --> 10:44.680] card on your next visit, we will either take off $5 on your next purchase, or if you are
[10:44.680 --> 10:50.120] here to sell, we will add additional $5 in cash in what we pay you.
[10:50.120 --> 10:56.400] So, yes, it is another marketing element that we have implemented.
[10:56.400 --> 11:00.120] I call it a bribe, Deborah.
[11:00.120 --> 11:04.720] It's not a bribe, it's nonsense, it's not a bribe.
[11:04.720 --> 11:08.160] Everybody else knows, if you do use search engines, you want to amp up, you want to be
[11:08.160 --> 11:09.160] at the top.
[11:09.160 --> 11:12.120] I mean, what business does it want to be on the top, and so it's the way to try to help
[11:12.120 --> 11:17.600] us get to our goal, and we've, we're getting there.
[11:17.600 --> 11:18.600] We're getting there.
[11:18.600 --> 11:19.600] Yeah, it's working really well.
[11:19.600 --> 11:24.160] And it's not really a bribe, we just have it, we're just kind of opening our customers
[11:24.160 --> 11:25.160] up to helping.
[11:25.160 --> 11:29.680] I mean, most customers are, you know, definitely awesome, of course they'll do that.
[11:29.680 --> 11:34.000] So, I didn't even ask, don't you want the $5, they'll say, of course they'll do that.
[11:34.000 --> 11:42.320] We love you all, and, you know, rant and rave about us, but, yeah.
[11:42.320 --> 11:44.320] Whatever you do, don't get Deborah started ranting.
[11:44.320 --> 11:45.320] Okay.
[11:45.320 --> 11:46.320] We'll do our best, Brandi.
[11:46.320 --> 11:47.320] Just raving, I'm sorry, not ranting.
[11:47.320 --> 11:48.320] Well, yes.
[11:48.320 --> 11:49.320] Go ahead, Chad.
[11:49.320 --> 11:50.320] I was going to say, when you rant, I love it.
[11:50.320 --> 11:51.320] It's very entertaining.
[11:51.320 --> 11:52.320] Yeah, it is.
[11:52.320 --> 11:53.320] Absolutely.
[11:53.320 --> 11:54.320] Well, thanks.
[11:54.320 --> 12:05.520] And I was going to say, also, just to let folks know how to get to the new store, because
[12:05.520 --> 12:10.760] there is a big sign out in front, however, the entrance to the store is in the back of
[12:10.760 --> 12:11.760] the building.
[12:11.760 --> 12:15.560] So, when you turn in, when you first turn in to the parking lot, the parking lot in
[12:15.560 --> 12:21.080] the front is very teeny tiny, and there's only two spaces, and they're handicapped spaces.
[12:21.080 --> 12:22.080] Okay.
[12:22.080 --> 12:27.680] And so, what you want to do is you want to continue on the driveway on the right side
[12:27.680 --> 12:31.320] of the building, and go and park in the back, and you'll see the entrance on the ground
[12:31.320 --> 12:32.320] floor, too.
[12:32.320 --> 12:33.320] Yeah, for sure.
[12:33.320 --> 12:36.800] So, that gives it more of a private entrance as well, so, you know, nobody can see you
[12:36.800 --> 12:38.800] coming or going, really, from the street.
[12:38.800 --> 12:39.800] Precisely.
[12:39.800 --> 12:45.680] And then, also, I want to add, when you're leaving, when you're exiting, there is a back
[12:45.680 --> 12:53.440] alley, if you continue in the back, in the parking, to your left, it'll go past another
[12:53.440 --> 12:59.040] business, and take you right through Green Lawn, so, it's helpful for those that are
[12:59.040 --> 13:03.600] trying to come in to the building when they're driving in, they're not hitting each other.
[13:03.600 --> 13:08.280] Hopefully, in the very near future, we'll have some signage, but it can be a little
[13:08.280 --> 13:09.280] confusing.
[13:09.280 --> 13:14.320] So, when you're leaving, just exit out towards Green Lawn, there is a little small alley,
[13:14.320 --> 13:19.840] and you actually sit at the light, so, it'll help you get out faster when you're trying
[13:19.840 --> 13:21.840] to exit on Burnet Road.
[13:21.840 --> 13:22.840] Yep.
[13:22.840 --> 13:24.840] All right, excellent.
[13:24.840 --> 13:25.840] Excellent.
[13:25.840 --> 13:32.520] Yeah, and folks, I definitely encourage you to please stop by Capital Coin and Bullion,
[13:32.520 --> 13:41.000] or you can call them, the number is 512-646-6440, and folks who don't necessarily live in Austin,
[13:41.000 --> 13:45.160] or if you live, you know, way on the south side of town, or in the, you know, General
[13:45.160 --> 13:51.840] Austin metropolitan area, and if it's difficult for you to actually get there in person, Chad,
[13:51.840 --> 13:56.920] Becky, y'all do take orders over the phone, and you do ship worldwide, is that correct?
[13:56.920 --> 13:57.920] That is correct, Deborah.
[13:57.920 --> 14:03.800] Absolutely, yeah, we've expanded our customer line, we have customers all over the United
[14:03.800 --> 14:06.760] States now, it's been very exciting for us, and, yeah.
[14:06.760 --> 14:13.000] I'd like to say thank you to the people that call in, you know, not from Austin, and never
[14:13.000 --> 14:17.000] met us and trust us to do business with us at Austin, and we appreciate your business.
[14:17.000 --> 14:18.480] Yeah, thank you.
[14:18.480 --> 14:22.200] Well, I did have a friend of mine that came in from out of town that has been dealing
[14:22.200 --> 14:29.920] with, he's not a dealer, but he has been dealing with metals for a couple of decades now, and
[14:29.920 --> 14:34.400] this is when you guys were still at the old store, at the old location, and he came in
[14:34.400 --> 14:38.960] and we did some business with y'all, and he told me afterwards, he said, you know, Chad
[14:38.960 --> 14:43.200] and Becky, they really know what they're doing, they really know what they're doing.
[14:43.200 --> 14:47.720] He said, I watch them, and he said, the way she looks at the coins, the way she looks
[14:47.720 --> 14:52.600] at the jewelry, and, you know, the equipment they have, you know, the glasses and everything,
[14:52.600 --> 14:56.520] and he said, he could just tell the way y'all interact with the customers, and the way you'll
[14:56.520 --> 15:00.240] handle the merchandise, and the way you'll have your store set up, he said, y'all really
[15:00.240 --> 15:04.160] know what you're doing, and he said he'd never been in there before, but he completely trusts
[15:04.160 --> 15:06.680] y'all to do business with y'all in the future.
[15:06.680 --> 15:07.680] That's awesome to hear that.
[15:07.680 --> 15:08.680] That is, that's very heartwarming.
[15:08.680 --> 15:09.680] Just by watching us, huh?
[15:09.680 --> 15:16.440] Just sitting there watching y'all, he's like, these guys are good, and folks, Chad and Becky,
[15:16.440 --> 15:21.760] they really do have, like, very, very low markup in comparison with other dealers.
[15:21.760 --> 15:25.920] In fact, I don't see how you guys can afford to do business, but apparently you're doing
[15:25.920 --> 15:26.920] well.
[15:26.920 --> 15:29.640] You don't make much, but you just have to move a lot to stay in business.
[15:29.640 --> 15:33.480] Yeah, it's about volume with us, whereas other, you know, other companies, it's more,
[15:33.480 --> 15:37.240] we're just trying to make an arm and leg off each coin, and that's about volume.
[15:37.240 --> 15:41.960] We want to get in, get it out, so between that and just treating people right, being
[15:41.960 --> 15:48.760] honest, trustworthy, that's why we're, you know, we are what we are, so.
[15:48.760 --> 15:52.000] Now how long have y'all been in the Austin area?
[15:52.000 --> 15:53.000] The coin shop?
[15:53.000 --> 15:56.080] About two, a little bit over two years now.
[15:56.080 --> 15:58.680] We've been in the Austin area living here for pretty much our whole lives.
[15:58.680 --> 15:59.680] We're from Georgetown.
[15:59.680 --> 16:00.680] I see.
[16:00.680 --> 16:01.680] I see.
[16:01.680 --> 16:04.800] So we're certainly glad to have you in town, we're certainly glad for you to have a store
[16:04.800 --> 16:05.800] in town.
[16:05.800 --> 16:06.800] We need something local.
[16:06.800 --> 16:07.800] Yay.
[16:07.800 --> 16:08.800] You know, it's-
[16:08.800 --> 16:09.800] We're here to stay.
[16:09.800 --> 16:15.200] And it looks like the place is becoming, you know, kind of like a mingling forum, you know,
[16:15.200 --> 16:20.000] like a gathering spot for the local patriots in town, kind of like the bookstore.
[16:20.000 --> 16:22.400] Every time I come in there, people are just in there hanging out.
[16:22.400 --> 16:23.400] Yeah.
[16:23.400 --> 16:26.000] You know it is, and it's just like, even if you don't want to come by anything, come
[16:26.000 --> 16:27.640] by and say hi and talk some politics.
[16:27.640 --> 16:31.560] You may or may not like the conversation more, but it's always fun.
[16:31.560 --> 16:34.000] We always have guys in here and women talking, you know.
[16:34.000 --> 16:35.000] Yeah.
[16:35.000 --> 16:36.000] Absolutely.
[16:36.000 --> 16:37.000] We have lots of Ron Paul followers.
[16:37.000 --> 16:38.000] It's great.
[16:38.000 --> 16:39.000] Yeah.
[16:39.000 --> 16:41.480] So folks, just stop by, even if you can't buy anything or don't want to buy anything,
[16:41.480 --> 16:46.400] just stop by to say hi to Chad and Becky and talk to the local community that are hanging
[16:46.400 --> 16:49.360] out at the new hangout joint, Capital Coin and Bullion.
[16:49.360 --> 16:52.920] Chad, Becky, thank you so much for joining us tonight.

[16:53.920 --> 16:54.920] We can't wait to go hear the show tonight.
[16:54.920 --> 16:55.920] It's going to be awesome, I think.

[19:28.840 --> 19:46.160] Alright folks, we are watching the evidence unfold.
[19:46.160 --> 19:55.040] We see justice, justice is the goal, justice is the key and speaking of watching the evidence
[19:55.040 --> 20:04.640] unfold, we are here with our very special guest, Dr. Bill Vease, I call him an expert
[20:04.640 --> 20:10.360] on monetary systems and currency and fiat currency and the metals market and everything.
[20:10.360 --> 20:15.160] He's also a clinical psychologist, we've had him on before to speak about the dangers
[20:15.160 --> 20:20.640] of being committed by the court systems and we're not going to talk about the psychology
[20:20.640 --> 20:21.640] today.
[20:21.640 --> 20:27.680] What we're going to talk about tonight is the situation, the case concerning Bernard
[20:27.680 --> 20:30.320] Vaughan Nodhouse and the Liberty Dollar.
[20:30.320 --> 20:36.240] I have seen so many blogs and so many posts and people in the Patriot community or the
[20:36.240 --> 20:42.000] so-called Patriot community are outraged at what has happened to Bernard Vaughan Nodhouse
[20:42.000 --> 20:49.080] over his Liberty Dollar and many people are saying, oh it's such a travesty and it's
[20:49.080 --> 20:53.920] so unfair and there's no justice in the courts and how could they do this and they're just
[20:53.920 --> 20:56.160] picking on him and blah, blah, blah.
[20:56.160 --> 21:02.360] Well if you will notice folks, Chad and Becky from Capital Coin and Bullion and their website
[21:02.360 --> 21:07.320] capitalcoinandbullion.com, they have just minted a coin that says Capital Coin and Bullion
[21:07.320 --> 21:12.360] on it and they're not getting in any trouble, they're not going to get in any trouble,
[21:12.360 --> 21:21.200] neither is anyone else going to get in trouble that privately mints bullion coins and there
[21:21.200 --> 21:27.240] is a difference between bullion coins and currency coins because Chad and Becky are
[21:27.240 --> 21:28.800] not doing what?
[21:28.800 --> 21:35.800] They're not using the word dollar on their coin and they're certainly not denominating
[21:35.800 --> 21:42.600] face value in dollars on their coin which is what Bernard Vaughan Nodhouse did and that's
[21:42.600 --> 21:45.360] why he got in so much trouble.
[21:45.360 --> 21:49.160] Bill Vieth and I are going to break it down, I'm going to read some stuff to you all from
[21:49.160 --> 21:50.400] this indictment.
[21:50.400 --> 21:58.000] First I want to start off with a quote out of Bernard Vaughan Nodhouse's book, okay,
[21:58.000 --> 22:02.840] this is his book that he penned with his own hand entitled the Liberty Dollar Americans
[22:02.840 --> 22:08.400] Inflation Proof Currency 100% Backed and Redeemable in Gold and Silver.
[22:08.400 --> 22:15.240] Okay in his book Nodhouse writes that the Liberty Dollar is in quote direct competition
[22:15.240 --> 22:19.680] to the current money of the United States and that the Liberty Dollar is a quote free
[22:19.680 --> 22:24.480] market currency designed to be in commerce and is meant to be spent.
[22:24.480 --> 22:29.920] Here's a quote from his book regarding advice for paying for goods and services with the
[22:29.920 --> 22:31.840] Liberty Dollar.
[22:31.840 --> 22:36.840] Here is direct quote from his book, when the Federal Reserve notes are mixed with the silver
[22:36.840 --> 22:41.400] liberty the acceptance rate is nearly 100%.
[22:41.400 --> 22:45.440] I've only been refused once out of hundreds of transactions.
[22:45.440 --> 22:50.040] Second when I get to the cashier I say I have the paper and then he says in quotes show
[22:50.040 --> 22:53.480] them the Federal Reserve note cash but I would like to pay with silver.
[22:53.480 --> 22:59.040] I then drop the $10 silver liberty into the cashier's hands, then wait.
[22:59.040 --> 23:06.520] When they ask is it real I always answer yes ounce of silver $10.
[23:06.520 --> 23:10.280] Let them look at it as long as they like if they ask where did you get it my first answer
[23:10.280 --> 23:14.800] is from a friend who collects them but I like to spend them then smile.
[23:14.800 --> 23:18.680] This lets them know it's inherently valuable and that people collect them and some people
[23:18.680 --> 23:20.440] spend them in just one sentence.
[23:20.440 --> 23:23.540] It also lets them know you're not crazy to spend this money and that others are doing
[23:23.540 --> 23:24.540] it too.
[23:24.540 --> 23:27.680] Okay the key sentence here that's the end of the quote the key sentence here for me
[23:27.680 --> 23:34.960] is and this is in his very own book that he wrote himself he says he encourages people
[23:34.960 --> 23:39.280] to pass this off as dollars.
[23:39.280 --> 23:43.320] It says yes one ounce of silver $10.
[23:43.320 --> 23:47.960] Okay this is why Bernard got in so much trouble and this is why he's getting what is coming
[23:47.960 --> 23:49.200] to him.
[23:49.200 --> 23:56.200] He's encouraged people to use these coins to pass them off at face value.
[23:56.200 --> 24:02.640] And I'm holding a silver liberty in my hand right now one ounce okay because honestly
[24:02.640 --> 24:05.160] in my opinion is a total scam.
[24:05.160 --> 24:09.280] Bill told me he thought it was a total scam we're going to break it down for you guys
[24:09.280 --> 24:16.400] and honestly I was taken in by the scam at the beginning and I believe and I'm not trying
[24:16.400 --> 24:22.000] to commit to slander here this is just my opinion I believe that Bernard did this to
[24:22.000 --> 24:28.640] take advantage of naive well-meaning patriots who want to deal with silver and they didn't
[24:28.640 --> 24:31.040] realize what they were getting themselves into.
[24:31.040 --> 24:35.220] And fortunately I realized pretty quick that something about this was wrong it just hit
[24:35.220 --> 24:42.560] me wrong in my gut but I did manage to I did accept a liberty dollar coin at one point
[24:42.560 --> 24:49.000] in time at a gig for a purchase of a CD all right and the coin here it has a face value
[24:49.000 --> 24:59.160] of ten dollars and it says spelled out T-E-N-D-O-L-L-A-R-S on the bottom of the coin and it has a new
[24:59.160 --> 25:06.400] in numbers the new you know characters ten one zero with the dollar sign the dollar symbol
[25:06.400 --> 25:13.000] next to it so it's clearly it says ten dollars on it twice now I granted it does say point
[25:13.000 --> 25:20.280] nine nine nine fine pure silver however that's not the point the point is it says dollar
[25:20.280 --> 25:26.160] on it and he intended it and if you read his if you read his materials and his pamphlets
[25:26.160 --> 25:33.200] and his book he he obviously intends for people to pass these off within the circulation of
[25:33.200 --> 25:40.120] the Federal Reserve notes system not as an alternative barter okay it's not like going
[25:40.120 --> 25:45.920] to somebody and saying and saying will you take an ounce of silver for this bag of groceries
[25:45.920 --> 25:52.240] instead of a ten dollar bill no he even said in his own book you tell them yes this is
[25:52.240 --> 25:56.960] an ounce of silver ten dollars this was way back when spot price of silver was under ten
[25:56.960 --> 26:03.080] dollars okay so this is why he got in so much trouble and what he would do is that like
[26:03.080 --> 26:07.760] say when spot price many years ago was was like five bucks all right he started minting
[26:07.760 --> 26:12.760] these coins and and had a face value of ten dollars on it all right well people in order
[26:12.760 --> 26:18.960] to buy the coin they'd have to pay ten dollars from him unless you were a there were different
[26:18.960 --> 26:24.160] levels of membership in his company there were associate members and merchants and things
[26:24.160 --> 26:28.640] like that and depending on what level of membership you purchased from him you could purchase
[26:28.640 --> 26:35.840] his coins for a certain percentage less than the face value all right and so what would
[26:35.840 --> 26:41.360] happen is that he would make a killing off of the difference between the spot price of
[26:41.360 --> 26:46.320] silver and whatever the face value was that he'd minted on that he printed or minted
[26:46.320 --> 26:53.280] on his coin all right this was not a bullion coin like so many other privately minted bullion
[26:53.280 --> 26:59.320] coins that just say one ounce of silver this had a face value and it was denominated in
[26:59.320 --> 27:06.960] us dollars and that's why he got in so much trouble and him and his members of his company
[27:06.960 --> 27:11.600] the merchants were making a killing off of the difference between spot price and whatever
[27:11.600 --> 27:15.640] the face value was and as the spot price of silver would increase like i remember when
[27:15.640 --> 27:21.480] it got to about eight dollars then he started minting his one ounce silver coins with a
[27:21.480 --> 27:29.720] face value of twenty dollars so now he's making like 12 bucks profit in federal reserve notes
[27:29.720 --> 27:36.440] off the spot price of silver and now all of a sudden well your uh your ten dollar coins
[27:36.440 --> 27:40.640] that you had they're not really worth anything anymore not as far as face value so now you
[27:40.640 --> 27:45.960] can't even use them anymore as far as circulating them at their face value there there's still
[27:45.960 --> 27:50.480] worth something as far as collectors or bullion coins but so every time he would decide to
[27:50.480 --> 27:56.360] change the spot every time he would just decide to change the face value of his coin all the
[27:56.360 --> 28:00.520] ones that you previously were used you couldn't use anymore so then you would have to buy
[28:00.520 --> 28:06.420] more and then the scam just kept going and going and going and it's a travesty honestly
[28:06.420 --> 28:11.600] and before i read any more about the indictment i wanted to bring bill into the conversation
[28:11.600 --> 28:15.760] and and bill i want you to give your take just on what i've said so far and and the
[28:15.760 --> 28:22.440] whole thing about the using the word dollar and what a dollar really is and and uh and
[28:22.440 --> 28:28.520] all of that so bill can you please comment sure i'll be glad to um i guess first of all
[28:28.520 --> 28:35.240] i i probably i don't know mr von nathaus but probably his motives initially were pure i
[28:35.240 --> 28:40.560] mean i think he realized as we all have that the federal reserve has been giving a privileged
[28:40.560 --> 28:47.240] monopoly to counterfeit the money and uh so he was trying to um do something about it
[28:47.240 --> 28:52.800] and take some action instead of just uh criticize the federal reserve uh he was probably trying
[28:52.800 --> 28:57.640] to do something to bring it down or compete with it and so i think maybe his initial motives
[28:57.640 --> 29:03.000] were honorable i also would imagine that he's probably thinking that if he's going to put
[29:03.000 --> 29:07.960] that much time and energy into doing it obviously he needs to make some profit off of it because
[29:07.960 --> 29:11.960] he needs to pay his own bills and live and eat and so you know i don't think there's
[29:11.960 --> 29:16.960] a problem with his trying to even make a profit off the venture but i think the problem was
[29:16.960 --> 29:22.280] the way he did it he not only got himself into trouble but he potentially could get
[29:22.280 --> 29:28.480] everybody that used these coins in in trouble because again by putting the word dollar on
[29:28.480 --> 29:36.240] the coin you know a dollar was uh is it are we going to a break yeah yeah i'm sorry bill
[29:36.240 --> 29:38.800] i don't want to get caught in the middle of a sentence so you want me to wait till the
[29:38.800 --> 29:43.000] end yeah yeah yeah let's let's pick this up on the other side and yeah i'm sorry i'm not
[29:43.000 --> 29:47.760] trying to bash bernard so much and and i believe he didn't intend for this to be a total con
[29:47.760 --> 29:52.640] game but bill is right he went after it the the wrong way and we're going to discuss this
[29:52.640 --> 29:56.760] some more on the other side we'll be right back this is the rule of law rule of law radio
[29:56.760 --> 30:05.320] dot com i lost my son my nephew my uncle my son on september 11 2001 most people don't

[32:08.760 --> 32:12.800] okay folks we are back we're here with dr bill vede we're talking about the bernard
[32:12.800 --> 32:19.280] von nautau's case and yeah indeed to make it clear we're not really questioning or
[32:19.280 --> 32:27.640] attacking bernards motives here that he intended for this to be a scam but rather that he just
[32:27.640 --> 32:33.240] perhaps didn't do his homework very well concerning the legal issues surrounding what he he wanted
[32:33.240 --> 32:38.440] to do and what he was trying to do is trying to find a solution but it just didn't work
[32:38.440 --> 32:43.200] out very well and we're just breaking down the reasons of why it didn't work out very
[32:43.200 --> 32:49.000] well i remember reading in some of his pamphlets that the reason he wanted to put a face value
[32:49.000 --> 32:56.920] on the coins is because the spot price changes daily and so instead of every day you know
[32:56.920 --> 33:01.760] a bag of groceries costs a slightly different amount in silver and honestly the only reason
[33:01.760 --> 33:06.680] that it would is because the price of the groceries is set in federal reserve notes
[33:06.680 --> 33:12.160] and not set in silver you know if we were on a silver currency system then the price
[33:12.160 --> 33:17.440] would not change from day to day but at any rate he was trying to put some sense of uniformity
[33:17.440 --> 33:22.840] there so that it would just be a coin and and you wouldn't have to pay attention to
[33:22.840 --> 33:28.000] the spot price on such a daily basis like that but however the fact that he used the
[33:28.000 --> 33:32.640] word dollar that's what really got him into trouble and there are other issues about it
[33:32.640 --> 33:37.760] as well so bill you were just about to define you're about to tell us about what the word
[33:37.760 --> 33:43.120] dollar means yeah yeah okay so i think again that's where he that's where he used faulty
[33:43.120 --> 33:47.320] judgment in his decision to put the word dollar on there and and even for the reason that
[33:47.320 --> 33:53.040] you just explained because we're talking about two different dollars here we're talking about
[33:53.040 --> 34:00.240] a lawful dollar was set down in law back in the coinage act of 1792 which defined a dollar
[34:00.240 --> 34:05.240] or the unit of the count of the united states that was to be they were to coin a money in
[34:05.240 --> 34:11.120] the united states mint and each one was to be of the value of a spanish mill dollar as
[34:11.120 --> 34:17.360] the same as now current which is was a coin of 371.25 grains of silver which is about
[34:17.360 --> 34:22.320] three quarters of an ounce of silver and they refer to that as a lawful dollar a lawful
[34:22.320 --> 34:30.680] currency okay then in 1933 when congress stole the money of the from the people and the federal
[34:30.680 --> 34:35.520] reserve stole our money and had us turn in our gold and we went to legal tender rather
[34:35.520 --> 34:40.680] than lawful tender now the dollar became something different now we're talking about a dollar
[34:40.680 --> 34:46.840] bill which is a federal reserve note and so we call them dollars but that's turned legal
[34:46.840 --> 34:52.280] tender as opposed to our gold and silver coin is lawful tender so we're talking about two
[34:52.280 --> 34:57.840] different dollars and bernard van not has put the word dollar on there and his didn't
[34:57.840 --> 35:04.120] have any association with either one because it certainly didn't conform to the lawful
[35:04.120 --> 35:09.240] dollar because a lawful dollar if he wanted to put ten dollars on that coin he would have
[35:09.240 --> 35:16.200] needed to have seven and a half ounces of silver in that to be equivalent to the 371.25
[35:16.200 --> 35:22.800] grains in a lawful dollar so his use of the word dollar didn't conform to a lawful dollar
[35:22.800 --> 35:28.080] and it made no sense in trying to associate it with a legal tender dollar a federal reserve
[35:28.080 --> 35:33.760] note because they even admit that it floats it has no fixed value it's not a fixed standard
[35:33.760 --> 35:38.440] it's not part of our system of weights and measures and so if you ask somebody what is
[35:38.440 --> 35:43.680] the value of a federal reserve note there is no answer for that it's whatever its purchasing
[35:43.680 --> 35:47.600] power is on that day and it can change from day to day and it can change from minute to
[35:47.600 --> 35:51.720] minute against other currencies of the world and measured against commodities that are
[35:51.720 --> 35:58.000] for sale so it's just a floating abstract in a sense so van not has the use of the word
[35:58.000 --> 36:02.680] dollar didn't conform to the lawful tender dollar or the legal tender dollar and when
[36:02.680 --> 36:06.840] it first came out I even thought well you know whether I considered whether I wanted
[36:06.840 --> 36:13.520] to buy the coins or not and I thought well if it's got ten dollars on this coin and the
[36:13.520 --> 36:18.760] coin is one ounce and the stock price of silver at the time was about six dollars an ounce
[36:18.760 --> 36:23.520] or seven dollars between six and seven excuse me between six and seven dollars an ounce
[36:23.520 --> 36:30.280] and I thought well why would somebody want to pay ten dollars for this liberty dollar
[36:30.280 --> 36:36.380] when you can go buy a coin silver eagle minted from the United States mint for well under
[36:36.380 --> 36:40.720] ten dollars they usually were at the time were charging spot plus maybe a dollar seventy
[36:40.720 --> 36:46.080] five or two bucks for the coining of the of the silver eagle and it was minted by a United
[36:46.080 --> 36:51.920] States mint so it didn't make sense and I thought now how can I spend it suppose I give
[36:51.920 --> 36:56.600] it to somebody I'm suppose I go buy five dollars six dollars worth of groceries and I give
[36:56.600 --> 37:01.600] them this coin for ten dollars that coin is not worth ten dollars and the ten the dollars
[37:01.600 --> 37:04.820] don't mean anything and what are they going to then give me change give me federal reserve
[37:04.820 --> 37:10.600] notes change so I just felt like I can't use it and I felt like I could get in trouble
[37:10.600 --> 37:15.200] for trying to pass that thing that says ten dollars on it when it has no association with
[37:15.200 --> 37:23.120] a lawful dollar or a legal tender dollar yeah absolutely and and the the whole issue of
[37:23.120 --> 37:32.960] making change this is was actually in the indictment concerning a profit that people
[37:32.960 --> 37:41.920] could make concerning the change making issue and this was in the the liberty merchant handbook
[37:41.920 --> 37:47.960] which was a handbook for some of the level of member in his company which is called a
[37:47.960 --> 37:53.960] merchant where it says that the liberty merchant must agree to accept the liberty currency
[37:53.960 --> 37:59.360] when presented and agree to offer liberty currency as change for US currency whenever
[37:59.360 --> 38:04.040] possible and provides that the liberty merchant makes a profit by giving the liberty dollars
[38:04.040 --> 38:13.200] out as change so there was obvious intention here to use these coins in lieu of federal
[38:13.200 --> 38:19.320] reserve notes and within the federal reserve note system and that is another reason why
[38:19.320 --> 38:26.560] he got in so much trouble right he does his entire concept made no sense to me at all
[38:26.560 --> 38:31.120] you know if he had put an ounce of silver on the coin he'd have been fine that would
[38:31.120 --> 38:36.040] have been barter the people could have taken it or refused it and and and then since everything
[38:36.040 --> 38:41.400] in our economy is priced in federal reserve note legal tender dollars then you could look
[38:41.400 --> 38:46.940] and see what what that ounce of silver is worth on that day and somebody can decide
[38:46.940 --> 38:50.200] whether or not they want to take it or how many how much goods and services they want
[38:50.200 --> 38:55.440] to give for that one ounce of silver but the way he did it just made no sense at all and
[38:55.440 --> 39:01.800] it did wind up appearing to me like it was kind of a profit scheme for him that could
[39:01.800 --> 39:06.200] get himself and anybody that used it in a lot of trouble and it looks like it has well
[39:06.200 --> 39:13.720] and speaking of the the phrase the profit scheme that was actually the title of a section
[39:13.720 --> 39:18.600] in the indictment and I just wanted to read a little bit about this here what part of
[39:18.600 --> 39:22.400] the profit scheme which was what I just read to you one of the paragraphs of the indictment
[39:22.400 --> 39:29.120] concerning the change making and it says here concerning the profit scheme it says NORFED
[39:29.120 --> 39:34.280] the regional currency officers associates and other merchants making a profit made a
[39:34.280 --> 39:40.080] profit circulating the currency NORFED sells the American Liberty dollar to Regency currency
[39:40.080 --> 39:44.980] officers associates and merchants at a price greater than the daily spot price of silver
[39:44.980 --> 39:51.920] but less than the monetary denomination reflected on the currency's face value NORFED's profit
[39:51.920 --> 39:56.560] is the difference between the value for which the coin is the silver is minted in the coin
[39:56.560 --> 40:01.400] was purchased by NORFED and the price for which it sells the coin and then regional
[40:01.400 --> 40:05.800] currency officers associates and merchants sell the Liberty dollar coin at a greater
[40:05.800 --> 40:09.720] price than they pay for it that's the profit for these individuals is the difference between
[40:09.720 --> 40:14.160] their discounted purchase price and the price for which they sell the coin or in the merchants
[40:14.160 --> 40:19.520] case the value that they equalize it to US currency when making change a person not affiliated
[40:19.520 --> 40:23.880] with NORFED pays the face value minted on the coin so there were several different levels
[40:23.880 --> 40:30.080] of membership in the company and what depending on your level of membership you get to pay
[40:30.080 --> 40:36.280] less than you know another level of membership or less than the general public for his coins
[40:36.280 --> 40:41.960] and the whole point and intention is for the coins to be circulated at the face value which
[40:41.960 --> 40:47.920] has little to nothing to do with what the spot price of silver is.
[40:47.920 --> 40:52.880] It actually had nothing to do with it had nothing to do with the lawful dollar and it
[40:52.880 --> 40:56.720] had nothing to do with the legal tender dollar and it had really not much to do with the
[40:56.720 --> 41:01.720] spot price of silver either except for as the spot price of silver would go up he would
[41:01.720 --> 41:07.200] mint another batch of coins and put a different face value on it which always greatly exceeded
[41:07.200 --> 41:14.080] the spot price like I said when silver started approaching eight dollars he changed the face
[41:14.080 --> 41:19.560] value from 10 to 20 and so I'm trying not to be so hard on him but now that I'm seeing
[41:19.560 --> 41:23.880] what's going on I'm not very happy about it and like you said I think he originally he
[41:23.880 --> 41:29.880] intended for it to be have something good but it ended up being something not so good
[41:29.880 --> 41:35.040] and the reason well I think I went over this the reason that he said that he was putting
[41:35.040 --> 41:42.560] the face value is because it's easier to deal with coins or or pieces of paper that have
[41:42.560 --> 41:49.160] a face value on it rather than a piece of silver where the the value of it or not the
[41:49.160 --> 41:56.200] value but the you know the purchasing power in relation to federal reserve notes changes
[41:56.200 --> 42:01.080] from day to day according to the spot price but still the fact that he used the word dollar
[42:01.080 --> 42:05.280] and it the fact that it looked to the Justice Department like it was some kind of a profit
[42:05.280 --> 42:11.640] scheme as well is what got him in so much trouble and there was even a warning issued
[42:11.640 --> 42:16.960] by the U.S. Mint and I was going to read this paragraph this is in the indictment on September
[42:16.960 --> 42:22.200] 14, 2006 the U.S. Mint issued a press release and warning American citizens that the Liberty
[42:22.200 --> 42:26.720] Dollar was not legal tender. The Mint press release and public service announcement stated
[42:26.720 --> 42:31.800] that the DOJ had determined that the use of Liberty Dollars as circulating money was a
[42:31.800 --> 42:37.320] federal crime thereafter the U.S. Mint mailed copies of the press release public service
[42:37.320 --> 42:43.680] announcement to known NORFED regional currency officers and additionally NORFED alerted regional
[42:43.680 --> 42:48.080] currency officers and members of the media regarding the U.S. Mint warning and basically
[42:48.080 --> 42:52.340] I'm not going to read the rest of this whole section but basically Bernard and everyone
[42:52.340 --> 43:04.280] else in the company just blew that off. Blew off that warning. You know Bill? Yes. Randy
[43:04.280 --> 43:09.600] you had something to say? I remember when this was circulating and when Bill was talking
[43:09.600 --> 43:16.160] about why would I buy it for this amount that's exactly what I thought that this guy wants
[43:16.160 --> 43:26.640] to sell me $10 for what is it $14 or $15? What is wrong with this picture? And he seemed
[43:26.640 --> 43:33.640] to be selling it just because it was silver then people would buy silver because it's
[43:33.640 --> 43:38.640] going to increase in value but he didn't intend to let it do that. No he didn't he intended
[43:38.640 --> 43:43.960] for people to use it at face value. Okay I'm going to go into some more of this indictment
[43:43.960 --> 43:47.680] and then I'm going to break down the actual charges that he was charged with so that we
[43:47.680 --> 43:52.560] can really get to the bottom of this. Alright folks we are here with Dr. Bill Veath currency

[47:23.720 --> 47:27.720] to win the game. We gave some guys and this money to buy.
[47:27.720 --> 47:33.160] Okay folks, we are back. All right, we're trying not to bash Bernard too hard. I feel
[47:33.160 --> 47:37.320] like he really did start off trying to do something good and it just didn't work out
[47:37.320 --> 47:43.960] very well. Unfortunately, it just has the appearance of a profit scheme and it was even
[47:43.960 --> 47:52.080] labeled as a profit scheme in the indictment. It's hard to see that it could have been anything
[47:52.080 --> 47:58.680] else but I really do feel the man meant well. Okay, we are breaking this down. Let me read
[47:58.680 --> 48:06.040] to you the actual charges. This came straight off a pacer. There are three counts. He was
[48:06.040 --> 48:16.080] charged with violating Title 18, Section 371, Section 1341, Section 486, and 485. I'm going
[48:16.080 --> 48:22.960] to read, there were four counts. Basically, Count 3 and Count 4 were almost identical
[48:22.960 --> 48:30.360] and the jury convicted him of the first three counts. Now here are the counts, pending counts.
[48:30.360 --> 48:36.320] Count 1, in violation of Title 18, Section 371, conspiracy to defraud the United States
[48:36.320 --> 48:43.440] by a scheme to publish, possess, and sell for profit coins in resemblance and similitude
[48:43.440 --> 48:49.640] of coins of a denomination of higher than five cents, coined at the Sunshine Mint, a
[48:49.640 --> 48:56.600] men of the United States in violation of Title 18, Section 485, and conspiracy to pass and
[48:56.600 --> 49:01.520] attempt to utter and pass a coin of silver in resemblance of genuine coins of the United
[49:01.520 --> 49:09.120] States in the denominations of five dollars and greater and intended for use as currency
[49:09.120 --> 49:19.200] money in violation of Title 18, Section 486. Okay, that is Count 1. Now folks, I just don't
[49:19.200 --> 49:26.760] see how, I just don't see how he could not have been indicted and convicted of this.
[49:26.760 --> 49:31.760] I mean, when you read his materials and when you read the book of his own, that he penned
[49:31.760 --> 49:42.640] with his own hand and look at the coins, yes, these are dollar denominated coins in denominations
[49:42.640 --> 49:47.760] higher than five cents and denominations higher than five dollars. They were intended for
[49:47.760 --> 49:55.480] use as current money. He encouraged it in his book. He, it was an attempt to utter and
[49:55.480 --> 50:01.600] pass a coin of silver in resemblance of genuine coins of the United States and let me go over
[50:01.600 --> 50:07.240] the resemblance part. Here's, here's their, in the indictment, here's where they say,
[50:07.240 --> 50:13.380] here's where they nail the resemblance part. Okay, it says, this is paragraph 35, Liberty
[50:13.380 --> 50:17.680] dollar coins resemble coins of the United States. Liberty dollar coins of 5, 10, 20
[50:17.680 --> 50:25.000] and 50 dollars are engraved with the dollar sign, the S for the two lines, which signifies
[50:25.000 --> 50:29.840] and is universally known as the symbol for the United States dollar. In addition, the
[50:29.840 --> 50:36.960] word dollar is printed on the coins. The five dollar denomination of the Liberty dollar
[50:36.960 --> 50:42.640] is the same size as the Kennedy half dollar coin of the United States. The 10 dollar denomination
[50:42.640 --> 50:46.880] of the Liberty dollar is the same size as the Eisenhower dollar coin of the United
[50:46.880 --> 50:53.120] States. United States coins in the denominations of dollar, half dollar, quarter diamond, nickel
[50:53.120 --> 50:59.200] are engraved with the phrase in God we trust. Liberty dollar coins of 5, 10, 20 and 50 dollars
[50:59.200 --> 51:04.920] are engraved with the phrase trust in God. United States coins in the denominations of
[51:04.920 --> 51:09.600] dollar, half dollar, quarter diamond, nickel are engraved with the word liberty. Liberty
[51:09.600 --> 51:15.260] dollar coins of 5, 10, 20 and 50 dollar denominations are engraved with the word liberty. The dime
[51:15.260 --> 51:19.520] of the United States is engraved with a burning torch. The one dollar coin of the United
[51:19.520 --> 51:23.840] States is engraved with the statue of liberty holding a burning torch. Liberty dollar coins
[51:23.840 --> 51:29.400] of 5, 10, 20 and 50 dollars are engraved with a burning torch. The one dollar James Monroe
[51:29.400 --> 51:33.720] coin of the United States is engraved with a statue of liberty. Liberty dollar coins
[51:33.720 --> 51:38.400] of 5, 10, 20 and 50 dollars are engraved with a crowned head, remarkably similar if not
[51:38.400 --> 51:43.000] exactly the same as the crown head on the Statue of Liberty.
[51:43.000 --> 51:44.000] It goes on.
[51:44.000 --> 51:49.640] The United States denominations of these different coins have the word dollar.
[51:49.640 --> 51:53.000] They're both silver in color.
[51:53.000 --> 51:56.400] Liberty dollars are engraved with the word USA.
[51:56.400 --> 51:58.040] It goes on and on.
[51:58.040 --> 52:04.920] This is their evidence in the indictment concerning the resemblance to the legal tender of the
[52:04.920 --> 52:05.920] United States.
[52:05.920 --> 52:08.320] Bill, what do you have to say about that?
[52:08.320 --> 52:17.440] Well, I think if he had done his homework a little bit better and understood what he
[52:17.440 --> 52:21.640] was doing, he probably could have prevented himself from getting into a lot of trouble
[52:21.640 --> 52:24.760] because he is in a lot of trouble now.
[52:24.760 --> 52:30.160] I hate to see it happen because I think, again, his motives started out to be honorable and
[52:30.160 --> 52:33.400] he just went down this path.
[52:33.400 --> 52:38.400] It's hard for me to believe that nobody that he was in contact with gave him a heads up
[52:38.400 --> 52:43.440] on some of this stuff to keep him from going down the wrong path.
[52:43.440 --> 52:46.560] He may have even had a heads up and refused to look at it.
[52:46.560 --> 52:47.560] I don't know.
[52:47.560 --> 52:52.400] Maybe that'll come out where people start in the future saying they tried to keep him
[52:52.400 --> 52:57.880] from doing this or harming himself and he just kept going with it once he conceived
[52:57.880 --> 52:58.880] the whole idea.
[52:58.880 --> 52:59.880] Indeed.
[52:59.880 --> 53:06.000] Now, I'm going to read to you guys just a couple of paragraphs from Title 18, Section
[53:06.000 --> 53:08.560] 485 and 486.
[53:08.560 --> 53:10.720] Here's 485.
[53:10.720 --> 53:11.720] It's short.
[53:11.720 --> 53:12.720] That's why I'm going to read it to you all.
[53:12.720 --> 53:18.720] Whoever falsely makes, forges, or counterfeits any coin or bar in resemblance or similitude
[53:18.720 --> 53:24.560] of any coin of a denomination higher than five cents or any gold or silver bar coined
[53:24.560 --> 53:30.280] or stamped at any mint or assay office of the United States or in resemblance or similitude
[53:30.280 --> 53:38.200] of any foreign gold or silver coin current in the United States or actual use and circulation
[53:38.200 --> 53:43.240] as money within the United States or whoever passes others, publishes, sells, possesses,
[53:43.240 --> 53:47.680] or brings into the United States any false, forged, or counterfeit corner bar, knowing
[53:47.680 --> 53:53.440] the same be false, blah, blah, blah, with intent to defraud any body politic or corporate
[53:53.440 --> 53:57.120] or any person or attempts the commission of any offense described in this paragraph shall
[53:57.120 --> 54:01.360] be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 15 years or both.
[54:01.360 --> 54:02.360] I mean, it's-
[54:02.360 --> 54:05.280] Debra, what page was that of the indictment you're on?
[54:05.280 --> 54:06.280] I've got that.
[54:06.280 --> 54:08.680] I'm reading from... This is the statute.
[54:08.680 --> 54:10.680] This is Section 485.
[54:10.680 --> 54:14.160] Could you just go back and read the part that said that where you mentioned foreign coin
[54:14.160 --> 54:15.160] in there?
[54:15.160 --> 54:16.160] Because I've got a comment about that.
[54:16.160 --> 54:17.160] Okay.
[54:17.160 --> 54:18.160] Yes.
[54:18.160 --> 54:19.160] Yes.
[54:19.160 --> 54:20.160] Let me go back to the page.
[54:20.160 --> 54:25.760] It says, bar or coin at any mint or assay office of the United States or in resemblance
[54:25.760 --> 54:32.360] or similitude of any foreign gold or silver coin current in the United States.
[54:32.360 --> 54:33.360] Okay.
[54:33.360 --> 54:41.800] So in other words, they're talking about anybody that tries to simulate a coin of the United
[54:41.800 --> 54:44.480] States or a foreign coin.
[54:44.480 --> 54:49.040] Because see, let me go back to clarify something for your audience here.
[54:49.040 --> 54:57.280] If we look at, first of all, Article 1, Section 10, Clause 1 of the Constitution says no state
[54:57.280 --> 55:03.520] shall coin money, emit bills of credit, make anything but gold and silver coin a tender
[55:03.520 --> 55:04.800] in payment of debt.
[55:04.800 --> 55:10.060] So our Constitution didn't even allow our states to coin money.
[55:10.060 --> 55:14.320] So it's certainly not going to allow Mr. Von Nothouse to coin the money.
[55:14.320 --> 55:16.000] The states can't even do it.
[55:16.000 --> 55:21.680] However, if we look at Article 1, Section 8, Clause 5 of the Constitution, and this
[55:21.680 --> 55:26.800] is the part, this may be the most important clause in the entire Constitution in my opinion,
[55:26.800 --> 55:28.800] because everything is built on commerce.
[55:28.800 --> 55:32.200] That's the way we stay alive is through commerce.
[55:32.200 --> 55:37.800] Article 1, Section 8, Clause 5 says the Congress shall have the power to coin money, regulate
[55:37.800 --> 55:44.240] the value thereof, end a foreign coin, and fix the standard of weights and measures.
[55:44.240 --> 55:47.760] And let me go back and explain each of these little phrases and what they mean.
[55:47.760 --> 55:50.920] First of all, the Congress shall have the power.
[55:50.920 --> 55:57.960] Now, our Federal Reserve now prints the credit of the United States, but constitutionally
[55:57.960 --> 55:59.760] they don't have that power.
[55:59.760 --> 56:04.640] And the Constitution did not give Congress the authority to hand that power over to somebody
[56:04.640 --> 56:05.840] else.
[56:05.840 --> 56:08.120] So we're talking here about lawful money.
[56:08.120 --> 56:12.000] What they did was they kind of did an end run, and they created new laws, and it's called
[56:12.000 --> 56:13.960] legal tender, not lawful money.
[56:13.960 --> 56:17.000] So we're talking about two different monetary systems here.
[56:17.000 --> 56:22.600] But anyway, the Congress shall have the power to coin money, and money is gold and silver.
[56:22.600 --> 56:25.600] Okay, it says regulate the value thereof.
[56:25.600 --> 56:30.120] Now people think that means that that's why the dollar floats, because Congress is regulating
[56:30.120 --> 56:31.120] the value.
[56:31.120 --> 56:36.520] No, what regulate the value thereof meant was that they had also put in this Coinage
[56:36.520 --> 56:44.160] Act of 1792 that the silver to gold ratio was to be established at 15 to 1.
[56:44.160 --> 56:50.760] So regulating the value of our coin meant that there had to be this 15 to 1 ratio if
[56:50.760 --> 56:57.840] they made gold coins or silver coins, they had to be in conformity with the 15 to 1 ratio.
[56:57.840 --> 57:03.360] Regulating the value thereof also meant that established the tolerances of conformity,
[57:03.360 --> 57:11.000] meaning whatever weight was in the coin had to be proportional to what they put as what
[57:11.000 --> 57:12.000] the coin was worth.
[57:12.000 --> 57:17.880] In other words, if you're going to put a dollar on a silver coin, it had to have the 371.25
[57:17.880 --> 57:18.880] grains of silver.
[57:18.880 --> 57:24.960] Now as silver, they pass the coins around, they get worn down, and an old coin may wind
[57:24.960 --> 57:29.480] up with 368 grains of silver, because over time it'll wear down.
[57:29.480 --> 57:35.920] Now at some point you would bring the silver in to the mints and they would re-coin it,
[57:35.920 --> 57:40.680] and so if it went below the tolerance level, they would have to re-coin it.
[57:40.680 --> 57:44.800] That's why, that's what regulate the value of, it didn't mean that we had a floating
[57:44.800 --> 57:51.800] dollar, because a dollar was always a fixed weight of silver, okay, just like an inch
[57:51.800 --> 57:58.360] never changes, okay, a pound never changes, a year, a second, those are part of our fixed
[57:58.360 --> 58:03.960] standard of weights and measures, and that's why in the very clause where it talks about
[58:03.960 --> 58:09.280] giving Congress the power to coin money, it says to coin money, regulate the value thereup,
[58:09.280 --> 58:13.280] and fix the standard of weights and measures, the dollar was supposed to be part of our
[58:13.280 --> 58:19.080] standard of weights and measures, just like an inch, a month, a second, a year, an ounce,
[58:19.080 --> 58:22.800] and never to be floated, it was to be fixed.
[58:22.800 --> 58:26.000] And I've got one more comment about the foreign coin, are we going to a break?
[58:26.000 --> 58:27.560] Yeah, we're going to the top of our break.
[58:27.560 --> 58:29.720] We get to the foreign coin phrase when we come back.
[58:29.720 --> 58:33.360] Okay, absolutely, Bill, thank you for staying on the line with us, I really appreciate you
[58:33.360 --> 58:37.240] spending so much time with us tonight, we're going to talk about this foreign coin issue
[58:37.240 --> 58:43.360] when we get back, and I'm going to go over the other three counts that he was indicted
[58:43.360 --> 58:49.520] for, and we're going to continue to break this down on why, what happened to Bernard
[58:49.520 --> 58:54.920] von Notthaus, is exactly what happened to him, and why people like Chad and Becky are
[58:54.920 --> 58:59.160] not getting in trouble for coining their capital coin, a bullion coin, because it's a bullion
[58:59.160 --> 59:00.160] coin.
[59:00.160 --> 59:05.600] The Bible remains the most popular book in the world, yet countless readers are frustrated
[59:05.600 --> 59:08.400] because they struggle to understand it.
[59:08.400 --> 59:13.800] Some new translations try to help by simplifying the text, but in the process can compromise
[59:13.800 --> 59:17.040] the profound meaning of the scripture.
[59:17.040 --> 59:18.800] Enter the recovery version.
[59:18.800 --> 59:24.760] First, this new translation is extremely faithful and accurate, but the real story is the more
[59:24.760 --> 59:28.480] than 9,000 explanatory footnotes.
[59:28.480 --> 59:33.480] Difficult and profound passages are opened up in a marvelous way, providing an entrance
[59:33.480 --> 59:38.200] into the riches of the Word beyond which you've ever experienced before.
[59:38.200 --> 59:43.320] Bibles for America would like to give you a free recovery version simply for the asking.

[01:00:04.840 --> 01:00:09.320] Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes first answered a question Thursday whether
[01:00:09.320 --> 01:00:14.400] the U.S. was at war with Libya, saying, I think what we are doing is enforcing a resolution
[01:00:14.400 --> 01:00:19.960] which is protecting the Libyan people, averting a humanitarian crisis, and setting up a no-fly
[01:00:19.960 --> 01:00:20.960] zone.
[01:00:20.960 --> 01:00:24.720] Rhodes added, obviously that involves kinetic military action.
[01:00:24.720 --> 01:00:31.640] Congress hasn't declared war since the 1940s, meaning Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq
[01:00:31.640 --> 01:00:34.680] were not technically wars.
[01:00:34.680 --> 01:00:40.120] A bill introduced by a group of House Republicans contains a provision that would cut off food
[01:00:40.120 --> 01:00:44.960] stamp benefits to any family where an adult member is on strike.
[01:00:44.960 --> 01:00:51.400] Congress would like to see H.R. 1135 as part of a broad attack by right-wing legislators
[01:00:51.400 --> 01:00:56.880] to force the working class and poor to pay for budget deficits from the Wall Street spark
[01:00:56.880 --> 01:00:57.880] recession.
[01:00:57.880 --> 01:01:04.360] A recently released report by the U.S. Department of Justice found a pattern of systemic problems
[01:01:04.360 --> 01:01:10.000] in the New Orleans Police Department, including use of lethal force, racial profiling, and
[01:01:10.000 --> 01:01:11.360] discriminatory policing.
[01:01:11.360 --> 01:01:16.560] State officers were likely to charge transgender residents arrested for prostitution under
[01:01:16.560 --> 01:01:22.200] the state's Crimes Against Nature statute, which requires registration as a sex offender.
[01:01:22.200 --> 01:01:29.200] A suspected breach in the core of a reactor in Unit 3 of the Fukushima nuclear plant warns
[01:01:29.200 --> 01:01:33.040] of more serious radioactive contamination in the future.
[01:01:33.040 --> 01:01:37.680] Suspicions of a breach were raised when two workers waded into water around the reactor
[01:01:37.680 --> 01:01:43.000] 10,000 times more radioactive than normal and suffered skin burns.
[01:01:43.000 --> 01:01:48.640] Prime Minister Nyatokan called the fight to stabilize the plant very grave and serious.
[01:01:48.640 --> 01:01:53.080] The suspected breach could be a major setback in the urgent mission to stop the plant leaking
[01:01:53.080 --> 01:01:54.200] radiation.
[01:01:54.200 --> 01:01:59.040] The uncertain situation halted work at the nuclear complex, where dozens have been trying
[01:01:59.040 --> 01:02:02.680] feverishly to stop the overheated plant from leaking radiation.
[01:02:02.680 --> 01:02:07.640] Japan's government Friday urged residents living within 18 miles of the stricken nuclear
[01:02:07.640 --> 01:02:13.240] plant to voluntarily leave their homes and suggested officials could expand the mandatory
[01:02:13.240 --> 01:02:14.840] evacuation zone.
[01:02:14.840 --> 01:02:21.840] The UK Guardian says members of Wafala, Libya's biggest tribe, are anxious to be seen as loyal
[01:02:21.840 --> 01:02:23.800] pillars of the regime.
[01:02:23.800 --> 01:02:28.960] With more than a million members, Wafala live all over Libya, including in the rebel stronghold
[01:02:28.960 --> 01:02:30.240] of Benghazi.
[01:02:30.240 --> 01:02:35.040] Government tribes' geographical distribution means it is well placed to help heal bitter
[01:02:35.040 --> 01:02:40.920] divisions by joining a peaceful green march to Benghazi to promote reconciliation and
[01:02:40.920 --> 01:02:44.280] avoid a Korean-style partition of the country.
[01:02:44.280 --> 01:02:49.800] The Guardian says it's highly likely this innocent-sounding mass movement is a government-inspired propaganda
[01:02:49.800 --> 01:02:55.080] stunt intended to complicate military operations by the coalition and the rebels.
[01:02:55.080 --> 01:02:59.600] Key tribes are rumored to have been offered large sums of money to ensure they tow the
[01:02:59.600 --> 01:03:00.600] Gaddafi Line.
[01:03:30.600 --> 01:03:36.600] It's all according to the will of the Almighty
[01:03:36.600 --> 01:03:39.600] I read his book and it says
[01:03:39.600 --> 01:03:44.600] It cares not for the unsightly
[01:03:44.600 --> 01:03:53.600] These warmongers come by that term rightly
[01:03:53.600 --> 01:03:56.600] I won't pay for the war with my body
[01:03:56.600 --> 01:03:59.600] Ain't gonna pay for the car with my money
[01:03:59.600 --> 01:04:02.600] I won't pay for the fun with my body
[01:04:02.600 --> 01:04:06.600] Their plans wicked and their logic shoddy
[01:04:06.600 --> 01:04:09.600] Ain't gonna pay for the oil with my body
[01:04:09.600 --> 01:04:13.600] I won't pay for the boys with my money
[01:04:13.600 --> 01:04:17.600] Ain't gonna pay for the kids with my body
[01:04:17.600 --> 01:04:20.600] The whole agenda smells funny
[01:04:20.600 --> 01:04:27.600] I wanna fight in a war of my own
[01:04:27.600 --> 01:04:34.600] That one would be less accident prone
[01:04:34.600 --> 01:04:40.600] I wanna pay for a war of my own
[01:04:40.600 --> 01:04:47.600] They live in glass houses so I can watch them grow bone
[01:04:47.600 --> 01:04:50.600] I wanna fight in a war I can win
[01:04:50.600 --> 01:04:54.600] I can never win the one that they got me in
[01:04:54.600 --> 01:04:57.600] That one I lose one before it begins
[01:04:57.600 --> 01:05:00.600] I wanna pay for a war I can win
[01:05:00.600 --> 01:05:07.600] When I'm fighting in my own war
[01:05:07.600 --> 01:05:14.600] It's such a peaceful feeling
[01:05:14.600 --> 01:05:21.600] When I'm paying for my own war
[01:05:21.600 --> 01:05:28.600] I take time for the healing
[01:05:28.600 --> 01:05:31.600] Okay folks, we are back.
[01:05:31.600 --> 01:05:34.600] Okay, Bill.
[01:05:34.600 --> 01:05:38.600] Okay, yeah, we were going to talk about the foreign coin part.
[01:05:38.600 --> 01:05:44.600] Let's remember that, again, Article 1, Section 10 Clause 1 says no state shall coin money.
[01:05:44.600 --> 01:05:48.600] So the states can't coin money, only the Congress can coin money.
[01:05:48.600 --> 01:05:53.600] Now, what if the Congress fails in its duty to the states and doesn't coin money,
[01:05:53.600 --> 01:05:57.600] which it really stopped doing. The Congress stopped pointing gold and silver.
[01:05:57.600 --> 01:06:01.600] So that's why Article 1, Section 8 Clause 5 says
[01:06:01.600 --> 01:06:06.600] the Congress shall have the power to coin money, regulate the value thereof, and the foreign coin,
[01:06:06.600 --> 01:06:09.600] which means if Congress doesn't coin the money in the mints,
[01:06:09.600 --> 01:06:12.600] the people of the states can use foreign coin,
[01:06:12.600 --> 01:06:15.600] but they can't go out, the part of the law that you read,
[01:06:15.600 --> 01:06:19.600] they can't go out and create a similar looking foreign coin,
[01:06:19.600 --> 01:06:24.600] but we could use coins that were minted in other countries, gold and silver coins,
[01:06:24.600 --> 01:06:28.600] and use those according to the Constitution if Congress fails in its duty
[01:06:28.600 --> 01:06:31.600] to establish mints to coin our money.
[01:06:31.600 --> 01:06:34.600] So rather than the states coining money, all we have to do is go out
[01:06:34.600 --> 01:06:37.600] and purchase and use foreign coins that's in circulation,
[01:06:37.600 --> 01:06:41.600] because really, at that time, there was a lot of foreign coins
[01:06:41.600 --> 01:06:44.600] circulating even within the colonies.
[01:06:44.600 --> 01:06:49.600] A lot of the Spanish mill dollar was the main coin used in Mexico,
[01:06:49.600 --> 01:06:53.600] and there were other coins that were used that had been used in Europe.
[01:06:53.600 --> 01:06:56.600] There were gold coins and silver coins of different denominations.
[01:06:56.600 --> 01:07:00.600] So again, that's why it talks about a foreign coin.
[01:07:00.600 --> 01:07:04.600] That's our ace in the hole.
[01:07:04.600 --> 01:07:10.600] If the mint stops minting coin, we can use foreign coins, but we don't,
[01:07:10.600 --> 01:07:13.600] because we're not under the lawful monetary system anymore.
[01:07:13.600 --> 01:07:16.600] We're under the system of legal tender.
[01:07:16.600 --> 01:07:23.600] Right, and I wanted to bring up that this is very much similar to the situation
[01:07:23.600 --> 01:07:27.600] regarding the license plate issue.
[01:07:27.600 --> 01:07:32.600] Like, say, for example, in the state of Texas, it's a crime to counterfeit
[01:07:32.600 --> 01:07:37.600] state license plates or license plates issued that are foreign plates,
[01:07:37.600 --> 01:07:39.600] which would be like, say, another state's license plate
[01:07:39.600 --> 01:07:42.600] or a foreign government license plate.
[01:07:42.600 --> 01:07:48.600] Like, you can't counterfeit a Mexico plate or a Canadian plate
[01:07:48.600 --> 01:07:52.600] or a state of Alabama plate or something like that,
[01:07:52.600 --> 01:07:57.600] but it's not illegal to make up your own plate and put it on your car
[01:07:57.600 --> 01:07:59.600] that says whatever you want it to say,
[01:07:59.600 --> 01:08:05.600] as long as you're not trying to make it look like some other official entities issued plate.
[01:08:05.600 --> 01:08:08.600] And that's the same thing with the coins,
[01:08:08.600 --> 01:08:12.600] and that's why Bernard got in so much trouble because it's a dollar,
[01:08:12.600 --> 01:08:17.600] and as I read in the indictment, all these other attributes of his coin
[01:08:17.600 --> 01:08:23.600] that they're claiming look like the U.S. coin that have been minted, et cetera, et cetera.
[01:08:23.600 --> 01:08:26.600] And this brought me to another issue, Bill,
[01:08:26.600 --> 01:08:33.600] that I wanted you to address concerning the definition of the word coin, for one thing,
[01:08:33.600 --> 01:08:41.600] and the difference between a bullion coin and a coin intended for currency use, a currency coin.
[01:08:41.600 --> 01:08:48.600] Well, a bullion coin is any, you know, you can take gold, silver, platinum, palladium,
[01:08:48.600 --> 01:08:52.600] and put it into a coin and strike it with the amount of weight on the coin,
[01:08:52.600 --> 01:08:55.600] and that's considered bullion. It's a commodity.
[01:08:55.600 --> 01:08:59.600] It's like just trading any kind of commodities, corn or silver or gold or copper.
[01:08:59.600 --> 01:09:08.600] You're just putting it in a uniform shape and size that everybody can see what it is,
[01:09:08.600 --> 01:09:11.600] and that would be considered a bullion coin.
[01:09:11.600 --> 01:09:17.600] But a currency coin is one that's minted by the United States Mint as a lawful coin
[01:09:17.600 --> 01:09:23.600] or minted as legal currency, which is what our, you know, coins are now.
[01:09:23.600 --> 01:09:26.600] They're just base metals. There's not even copper.
[01:09:26.600 --> 01:09:29.600] There's no silver in our coins since 1965 and later,
[01:09:29.600 --> 01:09:33.600] and there's very little copper even in the pennies or the other coins,
[01:09:33.600 --> 01:09:36.600] and so they put cheap base metals in the coins,
[01:09:36.600 --> 01:09:39.600] and, you know, the United States is still minting those.
[01:09:39.600 --> 01:09:45.600] So they have given, Congress has given a privileged, exclusive monopoly
[01:09:45.600 --> 01:09:52.600] to the Federal Reserve to print our money and coin money and anybody else,
[01:09:52.600 --> 01:09:55.600] and it's counterfeit basically because it's not lawful money,
[01:09:55.600 --> 01:09:58.600] but they gave them the privileged monopoly of doing so,
[01:09:58.600 --> 01:10:02.600] and anybody else that tries to do it doesn't have the privilege.
[01:10:02.600 --> 01:10:04.600] So that's why Von Nothaus is in trouble.
[01:10:04.600 --> 01:10:07.600] It doesn't have the privilege to counterfeit the word dollar,
[01:10:07.600 --> 01:10:12.600] but the Federal Reserve does.
[01:10:12.600 --> 01:10:13.600] Indeed, indeed.
[01:10:13.600 --> 01:10:16.600] You know, Debbie, let me, for your audience's sake,
[01:10:16.600 --> 01:10:20.600] let me explain it another way that usually people that know nothing,
[01:10:20.600 --> 01:10:22.600] and I'm sure your audience is way above this,
[01:10:22.600 --> 01:10:25.600] but there might be a few new listeners.
[01:10:25.600 --> 01:10:29.600] Sometimes when I'm talking to people that know nothing about any of this stuff
[01:10:29.600 --> 01:10:32.600] and I try to give it to them like this and they really understand it
[01:10:32.600 --> 01:10:35.600] like this when I go through it in stages,
[01:10:35.600 --> 01:10:43.600] let's suppose that the way the government gives value to our currency
[01:10:43.600 --> 01:10:48.600] is by saying, first of all, we have to pay our taxes in that currency, okay,
[01:10:48.600 --> 01:10:51.600] because now we all have to get that currency in order to pay our taxes.
[01:10:51.600 --> 01:10:55.600] So let's say hypothetically tomorrow the government said from now on
[01:10:55.600 --> 01:10:58.600] you have to pay your taxes in popsicle sticks.
[01:10:58.600 --> 01:11:01.600] All of a sudden we'd all be running around competing for popsicle sticks,
[01:11:01.600 --> 01:11:05.600] and something that was worthless yesterday now would have value
[01:11:05.600 --> 01:11:08.600] because that's what we have to use to pay our taxes in.
[01:11:08.600 --> 01:11:12.600] Now if they came back the next day and said, by the way, from now on,
[01:11:12.600 --> 01:11:15.600] we're going to call these popsicle sticks legal tender,
[01:11:15.600 --> 01:11:17.600] and you have to pay everything.
[01:11:17.600 --> 01:11:21.600] All debts, public and private, have to be paid in popsicle sticks.
[01:11:21.600 --> 01:11:25.600] So now they really gave value to something that was before valueless
[01:11:25.600 --> 01:11:27.600] because now it's become legal tender.
[01:11:27.600 --> 01:11:31.600] Now if they came back the next day and said,
[01:11:31.600 --> 01:11:36.600] we are going to give the exclusive authority to build these,
[01:11:36.600 --> 01:11:40.600] to manufacture these popsicle sticks for everybody in the United States,
[01:11:40.600 --> 01:11:43.600] and since the popsicle sticks are going to be the world's reserve currency,
[01:11:43.600 --> 01:11:46.600] he's going to manufacture them for everybody in the world.
[01:11:46.600 --> 01:11:50.600] And so I have the exclusive authority over here to manufacture these popsicle sticks
[01:11:50.600 --> 01:11:53.600] that everybody in the country and the world needs
[01:11:53.600 --> 01:11:58.600] because that's when anybody goes to buy oil, it's only settled in dollars.
[01:11:58.600 --> 01:12:01.600] When countries trade with each other, they don't take each other's currencies,
[01:12:01.600 --> 01:12:02.600] they take dollars.
[01:12:02.600 --> 01:12:04.600] That's what the world's reserve currency is.
[01:12:04.600 --> 01:12:06.600] So now I have the exclusive authority.
[01:12:06.600 --> 01:12:11.600] Now if Deborah and Randy and Eddie can make a popsicle stick
[01:12:11.600 --> 01:12:15.600] that looks exactly like mine, same content, same everything,
[01:12:15.600 --> 01:12:19.600] we're going to call theirs counterfeit if they make it,
[01:12:19.600 --> 01:12:24.600] but mine, even though they're making it the same quality, the same exactly like mine,
[01:12:24.600 --> 01:12:26.600] I get the exclusive authority to do it.
[01:12:26.600 --> 01:12:29.600] Well, that's what our Congress gave to the Federal Reserve.
[01:12:29.600 --> 01:12:34.600] They gave the Federal Reserve the exclusive authority to print counterfeit money.
[01:12:34.600 --> 01:12:37.600] And even if I can make a dollar bill that looks exactly the same
[01:12:37.600 --> 01:12:42.600] or manufacture a 50-cent piece or a quart that looks exactly the same
[01:12:42.600 --> 01:12:44.600] with the same content and everything, I'm counterfeiting,
[01:12:44.600 --> 01:12:47.600] but they're not because they've got the privilege.
[01:12:47.600 --> 01:12:49.600] Well, that's what they did with our money system.
[01:12:49.600 --> 01:12:54.600] And when we went off lawful tender to legal tender, it changed the entire law
[01:12:54.600 --> 01:12:58.600] because the law, the type of law you have, sits on top of the money system.
[01:12:58.600 --> 01:13:00.600] It's not the other way around.
[01:13:00.600 --> 01:13:03.600] So that's when we went into statutory law and away from constitutional law
[01:13:03.600 --> 01:13:10.600] back in 1933 when they changed from lawful money to legal tender.
[01:13:10.600 --> 01:13:14.600] So it's all a scam, and I'm sure Von Nott has realized it was a scam,
[01:13:14.600 --> 01:13:18.600] and he wanted to bring down that scam, and that's probably what motivated him
[01:13:18.600 --> 01:13:21.600] to do the efforts that he did.
[01:13:21.600 --> 01:13:25.600] He just used faulty judgment and didn't do enough homework to realize
[01:13:25.600 --> 01:13:28.600] he didn't have the privilege, so he was going to get himself into trouble,
[01:13:28.600 --> 01:13:34.600] and anybody that passed those coins potentially could get in trouble.
[01:13:34.600 --> 01:13:38.600] Exactly, and people that did pass off the coins did get in trouble.
[01:13:38.600 --> 01:13:41.600] I remember there was a father and his son.
[01:13:41.600 --> 01:13:43.600] Yes, went into a hockey game or something.
[01:13:43.600 --> 01:13:46.600] There was a hockey game or a football game or something like that,
[01:13:46.600 --> 01:13:51.600] and they tried to buy refreshments or something from the vendor there
[01:13:51.600 --> 01:13:53.600] with the Liberty dollars, and they actually got arrested.
[01:13:53.600 --> 01:13:56.600] Right.
[01:13:56.600 --> 01:14:01.600] Now I did want to address a question by a caller concerning what did
[01:14:01.600 --> 01:14:04.600] Nott House say in his defense.
[01:14:04.600 --> 01:14:10.600] Okay, now unfortunately on PACER, the transcript of the actual trial
[01:14:10.600 --> 01:14:14.600] was not available. That was not a document that could be downloaded,
[01:14:14.600 --> 01:14:18.600] and so I don't know what actually was said at the trial.
[01:14:18.600 --> 01:14:26.600] However, what I was able to find is that he submitted an exhibit list
[01:14:26.600 --> 01:14:32.600] in his defense, and I can read to you the titles of the documents
[01:14:32.600 --> 01:14:36.600] that he submitted, and one of them was something called
[01:14:36.600 --> 01:14:40.600] an Economic Research Paper of 1974.
[01:14:40.600 --> 01:14:44.600] Paul Gilkes, the Gold Standard Corporate Issues Certificate,
[01:14:44.600 --> 01:14:49.600] hard money advocate, would like to get certificates into circulation.
[01:14:49.600 --> 01:14:53.600] Some paper by Susan Meeker-Lowry, The Potential of Local Currency,
[01:14:53.600 --> 01:14:59.600] in Z Magazine, which was published in July of 1995,
[01:14:59.600 --> 01:15:07.600] a document written by a Mark A. Benvenuto on collectible coin scripts,
[01:15:07.600 --> 01:15:12.600] an editorial written by Beth Dysher on local script speak volumes,
[01:15:12.600 --> 01:15:17.600] Coin World, Monday, published on June 5th,
[01:15:17.600 --> 01:15:20.600] Community Script Movement Grows Worldwide,
[01:15:20.600 --> 01:15:23.600] Paper Alternatives to Federal Reserve Notes.
[01:15:23.600 --> 01:15:27.600] This was something written by Michelle Orzano in Coin World.
[01:15:27.600 --> 01:15:29.600] I guess it's a magazine.
[01:15:29.600 --> 01:15:31.600] A document written by Lewis D. Solomon,
[01:15:31.600 --> 01:15:34.600] Rethinking Our Centralized Monetary System,
[01:15:34.600 --> 01:15:38.600] The Case for a System of Local Currencies,
[01:15:38.600 --> 01:15:41.600] and another document written by Michelle Orzano,
[01:15:41.600 --> 01:15:45.600] Local Script Use, Growing, Proving Boon to Local Economies.
[01:15:45.600 --> 01:15:47.600] Okay, this is the exhibit, and it goes on.
[01:15:47.600 --> 01:15:52.600] Basically, articles written in coin magazines talking about
[01:15:52.600 --> 01:15:55.600] alternative currencies or bartering systems.
[01:15:55.600 --> 01:15:59.600] That's what it looks to me, the value of numismatic coins,
[01:15:59.600 --> 01:16:02.600] the value of collector's coins, things like this.
[01:16:02.600 --> 01:16:06.600] These types of articles, this was on the exhibit list.
[01:16:06.600 --> 01:16:08.600] This is what I pulled off of Pacer.
[01:16:08.600 --> 01:16:12.600] There were 27 exhibits in all, and basically they all had to do
[01:16:12.600 --> 01:16:15.600] with articles written on the value of numismatic coins
[01:16:15.600 --> 01:16:19.600] and collector's coins and local bartering systems.
[01:16:19.600 --> 01:16:25.600] Now, honestly, I don't really see how that would help Bernard
[01:16:25.600 --> 01:16:29.600] in his defense considering the allegations that were against him.
[01:16:29.600 --> 01:16:31.600] But again, I don't know what was said at the trial
[01:16:31.600 --> 01:16:35.600] because the transcript of the trial is not available on Pacer.
[01:16:35.600 --> 01:16:39.600] And Bill, did you say that you got a hold of the transcript
[01:16:39.600 --> 01:16:41.600] but you just didn't have time to read it?
[01:16:41.600 --> 01:16:43.600] No, I did not, but even if I had,
[01:16:43.600 --> 01:16:45.600] that would probably be quite lengthy to read.
[01:16:45.600 --> 01:16:50.600] So I doubt if I'd read it all, but the thing is,
[01:16:50.600 --> 01:16:51.600] are we going to a break?
[01:16:51.600 --> 01:16:52.600] Yeah, we're going to a break.
[01:16:52.600 --> 01:16:54.600] Yeah, we'll get your comments on the other side.
[01:16:54.600 --> 01:17:20.600] We'll be right back, folks.
[01:17:20.600 --> 01:17:24.600] We're now located at 7304 Burnet Road Suite A,
[01:17:24.600 --> 01:17:27.600] 1.2 miles north on Burnet from our previous location.
[01:17:27.600 --> 01:17:29.600] We're on the west side of Burnet Road
[01:17:29.600 --> 01:17:32.600] in the Stanley Insurance Building on the ground floor
[01:17:32.600 --> 01:17:35.600] next to the Ishuban Sushi and the Genie Car Wash.
[01:17:35.600 --> 01:17:39.600] We're open Monday through Friday, 10 to 6, Saturdays 10 to 5.
[01:17:39.600 --> 01:17:41.600] You're welcome to stop in during regular business hours
[01:17:41.600 --> 01:17:45.600] or call 512-646-6440.
[01:17:45.600 --> 01:17:48.600] Ask for Chad or Becky and say that you heard about us
[01:17:48.600 --> 01:17:51.600] on Rural Law Radio or Texas Liberty Radio.
[01:17:51.600 --> 01:17:54.600] That's Capital Coin and Bullion at our new location
[01:17:54.600 --> 01:17:56.600] at 7304 Burnet Road Suite A.
[01:17:56.600 --> 01:18:00.600] Or call 512-646-6440.
[01:18:00.600 --> 01:18:05.600] My name is Randall Kelton, and I co-host on Rule of Law Radio.
[01:18:05.600 --> 01:18:08.600] We specialize in showing people how to strike back
[01:18:08.600 --> 01:18:10.600] against corrupt public officials.
[01:18:10.600 --> 01:18:12.600] With the mortgage crisis worsening,
[01:18:12.600 --> 01:18:14.600] we set our sights on finding a remedy for people
[01:18:14.600 --> 01:18:16.600] who have been cheated by their lenders.
[01:18:16.600 --> 01:18:19.600] If you have paid your mortgage or have paid yours off,
[01:18:19.600 --> 01:18:22.600] you have probably been cheated out of thousands.
[01:18:22.600 --> 01:18:23.600] But there is a remedy.
[01:18:23.600 --> 01:18:26.600] Go to remediesinrealestate.com
[01:18:26.600 --> 01:18:31.600] or call me at 512-430-4140
[01:18:31.600 --> 01:18:34.600] and find out how to use the consumer protection laws
[01:18:34.600 --> 01:18:36.600] to recover what the lenders have stolen
[01:18:36.600 --> 01:18:38.600] through fraud and deception.
[01:18:38.600 --> 01:18:41.600] We will prepare for you a qualified written request
[01:18:41.600 --> 01:18:44.600] that will expose the fraud and put the lenders on the dime.
[01:18:44.600 --> 01:18:47.600] It's bankrupting this country, and it's time to fight back.
[01:18:47.600 --> 01:18:50.600] Go to remediesinrealestate.com
[01:18:50.600 --> 01:18:54.600] or call 512-430-4140
[01:18:54.600 --> 01:18:56.600] and get the information you need
[01:18:56.600 --> 01:19:00.600] to stop the money changers in their tracks.
[01:19:00.600 --> 01:19:21.600] MUSIC
[01:19:21.600 --> 01:19:22.600] Okay, folks, we are back.
[01:19:22.600 --> 01:19:24.600] Okay, Bill, please continue.
[01:19:24.600 --> 01:19:25.600] Okay, yeah.
[01:19:25.600 --> 01:19:28.600] Before we left, Deborah was talking about a number of parts
[01:19:28.600 --> 01:19:31.600] of the trial transcript that were sealed.
[01:19:31.600 --> 01:19:33.600] And my guess is on that,
[01:19:33.600 --> 01:19:37.600] is that even though those sealed parts
[01:19:37.600 --> 01:19:40.600] may not have been anything that would have helped
[01:19:40.600 --> 01:19:42.600] von Nothaus in his defense,
[01:19:42.600 --> 01:19:45.600] it may have been a lot of incriminating information in there
[01:19:45.600 --> 01:19:48.600] towards what the Congress did in giving the Federal Reserve
[01:19:48.600 --> 01:19:51.600] this exclusive authority to counterfeit our money and use it.
[01:19:51.600 --> 01:19:54.600] And there may have been a lot of information that came out there
[01:19:54.600 --> 01:19:57.600] about the difference between lawful tender and legal tender
[01:19:57.600 --> 01:20:00.600] and real money and the fake money that we use
[01:20:00.600 --> 01:20:03.600] and the values of weights of real money
[01:20:03.600 --> 01:20:08.600] and the floating value of non-purchasing power of currency.
[01:20:08.600 --> 01:20:10.600] And so there's probably a lot of information in there
[01:20:10.600 --> 01:20:14.600] that the government didn't want to become part of the public record.
[01:20:14.600 --> 01:20:17.600] Well, yeah, and I want to just to interrupt you for a moment.
[01:20:17.600 --> 01:20:19.600] I wanted to make clear, to my knowledge,
[01:20:19.600 --> 01:20:22.600] the transcripts of the trial were not sealed.
[01:20:22.600 --> 01:20:25.600] It's just that it's not available on Paste
[01:20:25.600 --> 01:20:28.600] or you can't just click on it and download it.
[01:20:28.600 --> 01:20:32.600] I don't know what the typical situation is.
[01:20:32.600 --> 01:20:35.600] The thing is court transcripts are very expensive,
[01:20:35.600 --> 01:20:38.600] and this is a recent case that just happened.
[01:20:38.600 --> 01:20:41.600] You know, the trial was mid-March.
[01:20:41.600 --> 01:20:44.600] Now, it's my understanding that basically,
[01:20:44.600 --> 01:20:47.600] if one of the parties to the case or anyone wants the transcripts,
[01:20:47.600 --> 01:20:50.600] they have to pay the court reporter, and it's quite expensive.
[01:20:50.600 --> 01:20:53.600] Now, if nobody pays for the transcript
[01:20:53.600 --> 01:20:55.600] in the federal court system,
[01:20:55.600 --> 01:21:00.600] the transcript will be posted in approximately 90 days.
[01:21:00.600 --> 01:21:02.600] So now, Bill, I don't know if you actually managed
[01:21:02.600 --> 01:21:04.600] to get a hold of the transcript from somebody else or not.
[01:21:04.600 --> 01:21:05.600] No, I have not.
[01:21:05.600 --> 01:21:08.600] Okay, okay, so basically unless you buy the transcript,
[01:21:08.600 --> 01:21:10.600] nobody knows what actually happened in the trial
[01:21:10.600 --> 01:21:12.600] except for the people that attended the trial
[01:21:12.600 --> 01:21:15.600] because the transcripts are not publicly available yet
[01:21:15.600 --> 01:21:17.600] unless you purchase them.
[01:21:17.600 --> 01:21:21.600] And generally what happens is that if somebody purchases the transcripts,
[01:21:21.600 --> 01:21:25.600] then they're available on PACER for free for everybody immediately.
[01:21:25.600 --> 01:21:28.600] I would imagine nobody's bought them yet because they're not available.
[01:21:28.600 --> 01:21:30.600] Now, regarding the sealing,
[01:21:30.600 --> 01:21:35.600] there are some documents in this case that were sealed.
[01:21:35.600 --> 01:21:39.600] There were some orders of the court that were sealed.
[01:21:39.600 --> 01:21:43.600] There were some motions that were sealed.
[01:21:43.600 --> 01:21:48.600] One of them was a sealed motion regarding payment of expert fees.
[01:21:48.600 --> 01:21:51.600] I guess that's to call in expert witnesses and stuff like that.
[01:21:51.600 --> 01:21:59.600] So some of these sealed motions and orders could be appropriate
[01:21:59.600 --> 01:22:00.600] and not some kind of conspiracy.
[01:22:00.600 --> 01:22:05.600] Here's a sealed motion regarding a third application for subpoenas.
[01:22:05.600 --> 01:22:07.600] I'm not quite sure what that's in relation to.
[01:22:07.600 --> 01:22:10.600] Now, there were some sections of the case that were sealed.
[01:22:10.600 --> 01:22:12.600] Here's a sealed motion on interim payment
[01:22:12.600 --> 01:22:15.600] and additional funds filed by Bernard Van Nauthaus.
[01:22:15.600 --> 01:22:20.600] So some of this may have been relating to personal information,
[01:22:20.600 --> 01:22:23.600] which would be appropriate for these things to be sealed.
[01:22:23.600 --> 01:22:27.600] But, Bill, you have a point that some of these sealed documents could be
[01:22:27.600 --> 01:22:33.600] because they don't want the public to see some of these important questions
[01:22:33.600 --> 01:22:37.600] and discussions concerning our monetary system.
[01:22:37.600 --> 01:22:38.600] Yes, that would be my guess.
[01:22:38.600 --> 01:22:42.600] I mean, I could be wrong, but they never want these things.
[01:22:42.600 --> 01:22:44.600] They don't want the masses to ever know this stuff
[01:22:44.600 --> 01:22:48.600] because the differences between real money and fake money,
[01:22:48.600 --> 01:22:51.600] we could start learning that in kindergarten if they wanted us to know.
[01:22:51.600 --> 01:22:55.600] And by the second or third grade, everybody would have knowledge of the differences.
[01:22:55.600 --> 01:22:59.600] It's relatively simple stuff.
[01:22:59.600 --> 01:23:04.600] Now, what gets complicated are all of the different financial instruments
[01:23:04.600 --> 01:23:07.600] that come out of these Federal Reserve notes and fiat currency systems
[01:23:07.600 --> 01:23:10.600] and all these derivatives that Wall Street do.
[01:23:10.600 --> 01:23:16.600] I mean, the financial stuff, you need a PhD in economics to understand financial instruments,
[01:23:16.600 --> 01:23:21.600] but learning what real money is, you can learn that in first grade.
[01:23:21.600 --> 01:23:23.600] Exactly, exactly.
[01:23:23.600 --> 01:23:26.600] But they don't want us to know it, and that's why we've never had it,
[01:23:26.600 --> 01:23:28.600] and that's why we had to start learning it on our own.
[01:23:28.600 --> 01:23:34.600] You know, I remember 10 years ago, that's when I started my research into this area,
[01:23:34.600 --> 01:23:40.600] and I remember as a young kid asking my parents, where does money come from?
[01:23:40.600 --> 01:23:43.600] And they didn't know, but they said, I just know it doesn't grow on trees,
[01:23:43.600 --> 01:23:45.600] so you're not getting any.
[01:23:45.600 --> 01:23:51.600] So, you know, and then when I got to be an adult, you know, you always hear,
[01:23:51.600 --> 01:23:53.600] if you want to know what's really going on, follow the money.
[01:23:53.600 --> 01:23:57.600] Well, I started doing that, and I started following it back further and further
[01:23:57.600 --> 01:24:01.600] and further and further, and that's what took me to learning, going back
[01:24:01.600 --> 01:24:04.600] and learning about what was the first forms of money, what did they use,
[01:24:04.600 --> 01:24:08.600] and what was accepted mostly in free markets, and it was always gold and silver
[01:24:08.600 --> 01:24:12.600] was what people defaulted to unless they were made to accept something else
[01:24:12.600 --> 01:24:15.600] or had no access to gold and silver.
[01:24:15.600 --> 01:24:18.600] And then I started learning about the central banking and the people
[01:24:18.600 --> 01:24:22.600] that were trying to always impose a monetary system on the people
[01:24:22.600 --> 01:24:26.600] while they, you know, hoarded the gold and silver and would impose a worthless currency
[01:24:26.600 --> 01:24:29.600] on the masses so that they could control them.
[01:24:29.600 --> 01:24:32.600] And so that's what started my research into all this 10 years ago,
[01:24:32.600 --> 01:24:35.600] was following the money.
[01:24:35.600 --> 01:24:37.600] Exactly.
[01:24:37.600 --> 01:24:41.600] I just wanted to go over quickly these two other counts,
[01:24:41.600 --> 01:24:45.600] and both of them are pretty similar to the count one.
[01:24:45.600 --> 01:24:48.600] One of them has to do with mail fraud, however.
[01:24:48.600 --> 01:24:52.600] Let's see, count two, regarding fraud by distributing for unlawful use
[01:24:52.600 --> 01:24:56.600] counterfeit and spurious coins, obligation securities, and other articles,
[01:24:56.600 --> 01:25:00.600] and for the purpose of said scheme to defraud, placed in a post office box
[01:25:00.600 --> 01:25:05.600] or authorized depository for mail, matters and things to be sent
[01:25:05.600 --> 01:25:09.600] and delivered by the postal service and aided and abetted each other.
[01:25:09.600 --> 01:25:13.600] Okay, so they got him for mail fraud because he was mailing out these coins.
[01:25:13.600 --> 01:25:16.600] You know, and he was using the postal service to do it.
[01:25:16.600 --> 01:25:20.600] I wonder if he was mailing them to a private company like UPS and FedEx
[01:25:20.600 --> 01:25:23.600] if they could have gone after him on that, maybe not.
[01:25:23.600 --> 01:25:26.600] Well, they may not have been able to nail him for postal fraud,
[01:25:26.600 --> 01:25:32.600] but I think that because he attempted to and encouraged other people
[01:25:32.600 --> 01:25:34.600] to introduce these into circulation,
[01:25:34.600 --> 01:25:36.600] they still would have got him for counterfeiting.
[01:25:36.600 --> 01:25:38.600] Oh, sure, for that part.
[01:25:38.600 --> 01:25:40.600] I'm just talking about the post office part.
[01:25:40.600 --> 01:25:41.600] Right, right.
[01:25:41.600 --> 01:25:43.600] If he had mailed them to private companies,
[01:25:43.600 --> 01:25:45.600] at least he might have avoided that part of the indictment.
[01:25:45.600 --> 01:25:47.600] Probably, probably would have.
[01:25:47.600 --> 01:25:54.600] Now, count three, just to go back, that's section 1341 of Title 18,
[01:25:54.600 --> 01:25:59.600] the postal scheme, you know, for using the post office to purport this.
[01:25:59.600 --> 01:26:06.600] And then count three, this is section 485 of Title 18 again,
[01:26:06.600 --> 01:26:11.600] unlawful sale and possession with the intent to defraud of Liberty Dollar coins
[01:26:11.600 --> 01:26:14.600] in resemblance and similitude of coins of denominations
[01:26:14.600 --> 01:26:17.600] higher than 5 cents coin at the Sunshine Mint.
[01:26:17.600 --> 01:26:21.600] Okay, so basically that's pretty much almost the same thing as count one.
[01:26:21.600 --> 01:26:28.600] Now, they didn't convict him of count four, unlawfully uttered and passed coins
[01:26:28.600 --> 01:26:31.600] of silver in resemblance of genuine coins of the United States
[01:26:31.600 --> 01:26:34.600] in the dominations of $5 and greater and intended for use of current money.
[01:26:34.600 --> 01:26:37.600] But they said that in count one.
[01:26:37.600 --> 01:26:40.600] So it seems like some of these counts were somewhat overlapping.
[01:26:40.600 --> 01:26:41.600] Right.
[01:26:41.600 --> 01:26:46.600] So basically count one encompasses everything except for the postal fraud.
[01:26:46.600 --> 01:26:47.600] Right.
[01:26:47.600 --> 01:26:54.600] So folks, I hope we've made it clear here what the reasons are of why they went
[01:26:54.600 --> 01:26:58.600] after Bernard and why he got slammed down so hard.
[01:26:58.600 --> 01:27:02.600] And like I said, the transcripts are not available yet.
[01:27:02.600 --> 01:27:08.600] I just read to you the only thing that is available on PACER concerning his defense,
[01:27:08.600 --> 01:27:16.600] which was a list of exhibits of articles written by people regarding the value
[01:27:16.600 --> 01:27:21.600] of silver and numismatic coins and collector's coins and bartering systems,
[01:27:21.600 --> 01:27:25.600] which really has nothing to do with what he did.
[01:27:25.600 --> 01:27:30.600] So that's all the information that's available here.
[01:27:30.600 --> 01:27:37.600] Now, Bill, I would like you to talk about just the medals in general
[01:27:37.600 --> 01:27:40.600] and the value of silver versus the value of gold.
[01:27:40.600 --> 01:27:46.600] And you were saying that you're even concerned that if they don't confiscate silver
[01:27:46.600 --> 01:27:48.600] in the future or pass laws to confiscate it,
[01:27:48.600 --> 01:27:52.600] that the government may perhaps declare it some kind of strategic resource
[01:27:52.600 --> 01:27:56.600] because who is the number one consumer of silver?
[01:27:56.600 --> 01:28:00.600] And let's get into the fact that silver is a consumable.
[01:28:00.600 --> 01:28:03.600] It's not so much considered a storable like gold.
[01:28:03.600 --> 01:28:05.600] So, Bill, would you get into that, please?
[01:28:05.600 --> 01:28:07.600] Well, yeah, these are just my personal opinions.
[01:28:07.600 --> 01:28:11.600] You know, our government in this country and governments in other countries
[01:28:11.600 --> 01:28:15.600] have in the past confiscated the gold from the people.
[01:28:15.600 --> 01:28:19.600] And I've always felt like we were at risk for them doing it again.
[01:28:19.600 --> 01:28:24.600] Some people don't think that's possible or that they'll try it again,
[01:28:24.600 --> 01:28:27.600] and I think it's not only possible, I think it's probable.
[01:28:27.600 --> 01:28:33.600] And so my position has been that I think that it's less risky or less likely
[01:28:33.600 --> 01:28:39.600] that they'll try to confiscate silver because silver is used not only as a monetary
[01:28:39.600 --> 01:28:41.600] – gold is only basically a monetary metal.
[01:28:41.600 --> 01:28:44.600] I mean, it's used in jewelry and a few other things,
[01:28:44.600 --> 01:28:47.600] but basically most of the gold that's ever been mined is sitting somewhere
[01:28:47.600 --> 01:28:50.600] in bullion bars or coins in vaults.
[01:28:50.600 --> 01:28:53.600] But silver is a different story.
[01:28:53.600 --> 01:28:58.600] Seventy percent of all the silver that's ever been mined has been used up in industrial use.
[01:28:58.600 --> 01:29:03.600] I mean, there are tens of thousands of industrial and medical uses for silver,
[01:29:03.600 --> 01:29:09.600] and silver has properties that no other element in the world has.
[01:29:09.600 --> 01:29:12.600] It's the best conductor of electricity, the best conductor of light,
[01:29:12.600 --> 01:29:13.600] the best conductor of heat.
[01:29:13.600 --> 01:29:16.600] It's got antibacterial – antiviral properties.
[01:29:16.600 --> 01:29:20.600] It's being used in threading and clothing in hospitals.
[01:29:20.600 --> 01:29:25.600] I mean, when you read the list of all the different uses for silver, it's just unbelievable.
[01:29:25.600 --> 01:29:28.600] So if the government tried to confiscate silver,
[01:29:28.600 --> 01:29:33.600] that would damage corporations all over this country.
[01:29:33.600 --> 01:29:37.600] Now, if they tried to confiscate gold,
[01:29:37.600 --> 01:29:42.600] it really wouldn't do the same type of damage that it would if they tried to confiscate silver.
[01:29:42.600 --> 01:29:44.600] I'll finish my thought when we come back.
[01:29:44.600 --> 01:29:48.600] Okay. All right, folks, if you have questions for us concerning this issue,
[01:29:48.600 --> 01:29:52.600] the issue of money, silver in general, currency, fiat currency,
[01:29:52.600 --> 01:29:56.600] or want to talk about the Nodhouse case, call in 512-646-1984.
[01:29:56.600 --> 01:30:23.600] We'll be right back.
[01:30:26.600 --> 01:30:31.600] Call 512-294-8429 today.
[01:30:31.600 --> 01:30:34.600] Shakespeare's classic play, The Taming of the Shrew,
[01:30:34.600 --> 01:30:37.600] implies women need the firm hand of a man to behave appropriately.
[01:30:37.600 --> 01:30:41.600] But researchers say women are really the ones doing the taming.
[01:30:41.600 --> 01:30:44.600] I'm Dr. Catherine Albrecht, and I'll tell you more in just a moment.
[01:30:44.600 --> 01:30:48.600] Your search engine is watching you, recording all your searches
[01:30:48.600 --> 01:30:52.600] and creating a massive database of your personal information.
[01:30:52.600 --> 01:30:53.600] That's creepy.
[01:30:53.600 --> 01:30:55.600] But it doesn't have to be that way.
[01:30:55.600 --> 01:30:58.600] Startpage.com is the world's most private search engine.
[01:30:58.600 --> 01:31:02.600] Startpage doesn't store your IP address, make a record of your searches,
[01:31:02.600 --> 01:31:05.600] or use tracking cookies, and they're third-party certified.
[01:31:05.600 --> 01:31:09.600] If you don't like big brother spying on you, start over with Startpage.
[01:31:09.600 --> 01:31:12.600] Great search results and total privacy.
[01:31:12.600 --> 01:31:15.600] Startpage.com, the world's most private search engine.
[01:31:15.600 --> 01:31:18.600] When men behave badly, don't put them in prison.
[01:31:18.600 --> 01:31:20.600] Send them to the altar.
[01:31:20.600 --> 01:31:23.600] Studies show that married men are less aggressive and commit fewer crimes.
[01:31:23.600 --> 01:31:26.600] One study of high-risk boys in adulthood found that marriage
[01:31:26.600 --> 01:31:30.600] reduced their criminal behaviors by 35 percent.
[01:31:30.600 --> 01:31:32.600] Women are more likely to marry nice guys,
[01:31:32.600 --> 01:31:35.600] which might account for some of the better behavior of married men.
[01:31:35.600 --> 01:31:39.600] But studies of identical twin brothers prove that even when factoring out genetics,
[01:31:39.600 --> 01:31:42.600] men do mellow out after saying, I do.
[01:31:42.600 --> 01:31:46.600] Married twins exhibit 30 percent less antisocial behavior
[01:31:46.600 --> 01:31:48.600] than their unmarried brothers.
[01:31:48.600 --> 01:31:50.600] It seems women have a calming effect on their husbands
[01:31:50.600 --> 01:31:53.600] and help them find more positive social outlets.
[01:31:53.600 --> 01:31:55.600] I'm Dr. Catherine Albrecht.
[01:31:55.600 --> 01:32:22.600] For more news and information at CatherineAlbrecht.com.
[01:32:25.600 --> 01:32:30.600] The wicked come with temptation.
[01:32:30.600 --> 01:32:36.600] They're trying to buy the whole place.
[01:32:36.600 --> 01:32:41.600] They want to poison the nation.
[01:32:41.600 --> 01:32:48.600] Because they've fallen from grace.
[01:32:48.600 --> 01:32:50.600] Okay, folks, we are back.
[01:32:50.600 --> 01:32:56.600] Again, if you have questions on the Bernard Von Nothouse case
[01:32:56.600 --> 01:33:01.600] or questions in general about silver monetary system,
[01:33:01.600 --> 01:33:05.600] the difference between bullion coin and currency coin,
[01:33:05.600 --> 01:33:08.600] or any of the above related topics,
[01:33:08.600 --> 01:33:11.600] we'd like to talk to Dr. Bill Vieth or us about these issues.
[01:33:11.600 --> 01:33:13.600] Call in 512-646-1984.
[01:33:13.600 --> 01:33:19.600] Okay, we were discussing the possibility of confiscation of gold
[01:33:19.600 --> 01:33:21.600] and maybe even silver in the future,
[01:33:21.600 --> 01:33:24.600] or perhaps that they would declare silver as a strategic resource
[01:33:24.600 --> 01:33:29.600] because the Pentagon is the number one consumer of silver.
[01:33:29.600 --> 01:33:32.600] Please finish elaborating on your thoughts.
[01:33:32.600 --> 01:33:38.600] When I read a couple years ago that the biggest user of silver in the world
[01:33:38.600 --> 01:33:42.600] is the Pentagon for weaponry and for surveillance type equipment and things.
[01:33:42.600 --> 01:33:45.600] I just thought if there's ever a shortage of silver,
[01:33:45.600 --> 01:33:47.600] which there is going to be a shortage of silver,
[01:33:47.600 --> 01:33:50.600] because they've artificially suppressed the price for so long
[01:33:50.600 --> 01:33:56.600] using paper futures contracts to flood the market with what isn't real silver.
[01:33:56.600 --> 01:33:59.600] It's paper silver, and they suppressed the prices so much
[01:33:59.600 --> 01:34:03.600] that there was no monetary, no profit incentive to mine silver.
[01:34:03.600 --> 01:34:07.600] So we've used up most of the above ground silver,
[01:34:07.600 --> 01:34:11.600] and right now there's five times more gold above ground than there is silver.
[01:34:11.600 --> 01:34:13.600] There's at least five billion ounces of gold in storage,
[01:34:13.600 --> 01:34:16.600] and there's probably less than a billion ounces in silver.
[01:34:16.600 --> 01:34:20.600] Silver is a much more rare metal than gold,
[01:34:20.600 --> 01:34:25.600] and silver sits geologically deposited closer to the Earth's crust,
[01:34:25.600 --> 01:34:28.600] so all the cream has already been mined,
[01:34:28.600 --> 01:34:32.600] so it's not going to be that easy even to get more silver out of the ground.
[01:34:32.600 --> 01:34:37.600] So I'm operating, I always think about the worst case scenario.
[01:34:37.600 --> 01:34:40.600] Not that it will happen, but I want to plan for it.
[01:34:40.600 --> 01:34:44.600] So let's say the world, there are people that are predicting that by the year 2020,
[01:34:44.600 --> 01:34:48.600] silver will be the first element to disappear from the periodic table,
[01:34:48.600 --> 01:34:51.600] that we really are, have past peak silver,
[01:34:51.600 --> 01:34:54.600] and there's a finite amount, and the world's going to run out of it.
[01:34:54.600 --> 01:34:56.600] Well, I don't know if that's going to happen or not.
[01:34:56.600 --> 01:35:01.600] Nobody can predict the future, but we sure have used up, you know,
[01:35:01.600 --> 01:35:06.600] 30 or 40 years ago there was over 10 billion ounces of silver above ground.
[01:35:06.600 --> 01:35:08.600] Now there's fewer than a billion.
[01:35:08.600 --> 01:35:11.600] And it's used by so many different companies,
[01:35:11.600 --> 01:35:15.600] and if people ever started using it for barter or a monetary metal again,
[01:35:15.600 --> 01:35:18.600] the world could literally run out of above ground silver,
[01:35:18.600 --> 01:35:21.600] and it can take, you know, seven to ten years to find new mines
[01:35:21.600 --> 01:35:23.600] and mine it and bring it to coin.
[01:35:23.600 --> 01:35:26.600] So there could be a shortage of silver,
[01:35:26.600 --> 01:35:29.600] and it's possible that the government could say,
[01:35:29.600 --> 01:35:31.600] yeah, it's a strategic resource,
[01:35:31.600 --> 01:35:34.600] and we're not going to allow it to sit in private hands,
[01:35:34.600 --> 01:35:36.600] we're going to confiscate it.
[01:35:36.600 --> 01:35:38.600] Now if they were to confiscate gold and silver,
[01:35:38.600 --> 01:35:42.600] I don't think they would ever go door to door and check and have you turn it in.
[01:35:42.600 --> 01:35:45.600] What they usually do is they make it like a law,
[01:35:45.600 --> 01:35:49.600] and then if you violate the law, if you're caught using it for barter
[01:35:49.600 --> 01:35:52.600] or using it for anything without government permission,
[01:35:52.600 --> 01:35:59.600] it's maybe a $250,000 fine and a 10 or 15 or 20-year prison term.
[01:35:59.600 --> 01:36:01.600] So everybody would be afraid to use it.
[01:36:01.600 --> 01:36:03.600] So if you're afraid to use it, even in barter,
[01:36:03.600 --> 01:36:06.600] because you never know who's going to turn you in,
[01:36:06.600 --> 01:36:09.600] you're more likely to just pay.
[01:36:09.600 --> 01:36:11.600] The government won't steal it.
[01:36:11.600 --> 01:36:15.600] What they'll do is they'll pay the going price at the time, the spot value.
[01:36:15.600 --> 01:36:19.600] So they'll offer you, let's say silver is up to $75 an ounce,
[01:36:19.600 --> 01:36:22.600] and gold is 2,000 ounce when they decide to confiscate them.
[01:36:22.600 --> 01:36:27.600] They'll pay you 2,000 ounce for your gold and 75 an ounce for your silver,
[01:36:27.600 --> 01:36:29.600] but then as soon as they collect it all,
[01:36:29.600 --> 01:36:34.600] then they'll stop suppressing the price of silver, and it'll go way up.
[01:36:34.600 --> 01:36:38.600] And then the compensation they just paid you in dollars will become more,
[01:36:38.600 --> 01:36:42.600] have less purchasing power, and so they'll screw you twice.
[01:36:42.600 --> 01:36:45.600] That's what they did with the gold back in 1933.
[01:36:45.600 --> 01:36:48.600] They stole the gold from the people, and when they took it,
[01:36:48.600 --> 01:36:51.600] it was worth $20 an ounce, and then as soon as they got it,
[01:36:51.600 --> 01:36:53.600] they raised the price of gold to 35 an ounce
[01:36:53.600 --> 01:36:57.600] and just devalued the paper dollars that they paid you for the gold by 40%.
[01:36:57.600 --> 01:37:01.600] So they not only stole your gold, they devalued the paper dollars they just bought it with.
[01:37:01.600 --> 01:37:04.600] So they could do that now, or they could try it.
[01:37:04.600 --> 01:37:08.600] Now, that doesn't mean they'll be successful this time, but they may try it.
[01:37:08.600 --> 01:37:11.600] So anybody buying gold and silver has to be aware
[01:37:11.600 --> 01:37:17.600] that there is a possibility of confiscation of some sort or control over it.
[01:37:17.600 --> 01:37:22.600] But the question is, still, what would you rather store your wealth in?
[01:37:22.600 --> 01:37:25.600] I still don't want to store it in Federal Reserve notes
[01:37:25.600 --> 01:37:27.600] because they can steal those easier.
[01:37:27.600 --> 01:37:30.600] They can rob the purchasing power easier through inflation.
[01:37:30.600 --> 01:37:33.600] You don't want to put it in a, I mean, they can rob your pension fund.
[01:37:33.600 --> 01:37:37.600] They can rob your IRAs. They can do all kinds of things with the paper.
[01:37:37.600 --> 01:37:40.600] So the question is, if you still don't want to own paper,
[01:37:40.600 --> 01:37:45.600] because all paper is just a promise to pay you something of value.
[01:37:45.600 --> 01:37:49.600] It's not the substance, the thing of value in and of itself.
[01:37:49.600 --> 01:37:50.600] It's the promise.
[01:37:50.600 --> 01:37:55.600] So when the currency loses purchasing power, the promises get degraded,
[01:37:55.600 --> 01:37:59.600] and eventually they default on the promises altogether when the currency implodes.
[01:37:59.600 --> 01:38:04.600] So you still have to figure out what is it that you want to store your wealth in.
[01:38:04.600 --> 01:38:07.600] Well, you know, in my opinion, one of the best things you can store it in
[01:38:07.600 --> 01:38:12.600] is anybody that can buy self-sustaining land, grow their own food,
[01:38:12.600 --> 01:38:14.600] and they have their own water, and they can hunt on there,
[01:38:14.600 --> 01:38:18.600] and they can be off the power grid and have their own electricity and power.
[01:38:18.600 --> 01:38:21.600] You know, that's even probably better than having gold and silver.
[01:38:21.600 --> 01:38:25.600] But we're not all in a position to have that kind of setup.
[01:38:25.600 --> 01:38:27.600] So what's the next best thing?
[01:38:27.600 --> 01:38:29.600] We still can't think of anything better than gold or silver,
[01:38:29.600 --> 01:38:31.600] even knowing that it could be confiscated,
[01:38:31.600 --> 01:38:35.600] because they're still going to have to pay the going price, and it may not work.
[01:38:35.600 --> 01:38:38.600] Nobody may turn it in, and the government may lose,
[01:38:38.600 --> 01:38:41.600] and then the gold and silver would have tremendous value.
[01:38:41.600 --> 01:38:44.600] So everybody has that decision to make.
[01:38:44.600 --> 01:38:48.600] What do I want to store my wealth in?
[01:38:48.600 --> 01:38:50.600] Now, Bill, when you're talking about the confiscation,
[01:38:50.600 --> 01:38:53.600] and we talked about this on the phone the other night,
[01:38:53.600 --> 01:38:57.600] you're basically saying that if they decide to do this,
[01:38:57.600 --> 01:38:59.600] they give you until a certain date to turn it in,
[01:38:59.600 --> 01:39:01.600] and then they pay you the going rate.
[01:39:01.600 --> 01:39:06.600] And if you choose not to do it, basically you're saying they're not going to go
[01:39:06.600 --> 01:39:12.600] house to house with metal detectors and troops to physically confiscate
[01:39:12.600 --> 01:39:17.600] everyone's gold and silver that folks have decided to hold onto it,
[01:39:17.600 --> 01:39:19.600] because you said, number one, that would be too dangerous.
[01:39:19.600 --> 01:39:22.600] It would be dangerous, and it wouldn't be cost-effective,
[01:39:22.600 --> 01:39:25.600] because so many houses they went to, they may never find it.
[01:39:25.600 --> 01:39:27.600] It may not be stored at a person's house.
[01:39:27.600 --> 01:39:30.600] A person lives somewhere, but he may store his gold and silver somewhere else.
[01:39:30.600 --> 01:39:33.600] I mean, I'm sure if they got a hot tip that this guy's storing, you know,
[01:39:33.600 --> 01:39:36.600] a ton of gold up in his attic or something, you know,
[01:39:36.600 --> 01:39:40.600] then they might do a search and seizure warrant and go after that one people,
[01:39:40.600 --> 01:39:44.600] but they're not going to go for everybody in the United States door-to-door
[01:39:44.600 --> 01:39:46.600] to find out if they have any gold and silver,
[01:39:46.600 --> 01:39:49.600] or if they have flatware and silver or something like that.
[01:39:49.600 --> 01:39:54.600] What they've done in the past is they give you a date to turn it in by,
[01:39:54.600 --> 01:39:55.600] and they'll pay you for it.
[01:39:55.600 --> 01:39:58.600] But what they'll do is they'll keep suppressing the price,
[01:39:58.600 --> 01:40:02.600] so what they pay you won't be its true free market value,
[01:40:02.600 --> 01:40:05.600] and then after they collect or get whatever they think they can squeeze out
[01:40:05.600 --> 01:40:08.600] of everybody, then it'll start to reach its true market value,
[01:40:08.600 --> 01:40:10.600] and so they just not only took your gold and silver,
[01:40:10.600 --> 01:40:14.600] they just devalued the paper that they compensated you with.
[01:40:14.600 --> 01:40:18.600] And you were also saying that concerning people who want to hold onto it
[01:40:18.600 --> 01:40:24.600] to establish private so-called safe trading circles of barter,
[01:40:24.600 --> 01:40:28.600] you were telling me that there's no such thing in a situation like that,
[01:40:28.600 --> 01:40:30.600] and that if you decide to hold onto it,
[01:40:30.600 --> 01:40:34.600] you're basically just holding onto it in the hopes that one day the law will be repealed.
[01:40:34.600 --> 01:40:38.600] Can you please explain to the listeners what you were telling me the other night
[01:40:38.600 --> 01:40:41.600] about why there's no such thing as a safe bartering trading circle
[01:40:41.600 --> 01:40:44.600] in a situation of confiscation?
[01:40:44.600 --> 01:40:48.600] Sure, yeah, and again, these are just my opinions, I could be wrong,
[01:40:48.600 --> 01:40:53.600] but it's my opinion that there is no safe trading circle if you're using,
[01:40:53.600 --> 01:40:56.600] if they make gold or silver illegal to use,
[01:40:56.600 --> 01:41:00.600] there's no safe trading circle because anybody in your circle,
[01:41:00.600 --> 01:41:02.600] if they were to get in trouble for any reason,
[01:41:02.600 --> 01:41:06.600] let's say they didn't pay IRS and IRS did an audit on them,
[01:41:06.600 --> 01:41:09.600] or they committed some little crime and they come in and they say,
[01:41:09.600 --> 01:41:13.600] look, we'll give you immunity for your crime if you turn in,
[01:41:13.600 --> 01:41:16.600] and then you can tell us about anybody that's given you gold or silver,
[01:41:16.600 --> 01:41:20.600] and then all of a sudden that person has saved themselves from going to prison for 30 years,
[01:41:20.600 --> 01:41:21.600] they turn you in.
[01:41:21.600 --> 01:41:24.600] So I wouldn't attempt that.
[01:41:24.600 --> 01:41:28.600] I mean, if it became illegal to use, I wouldn't use it.
[01:41:28.600 --> 01:41:33.600] Even if I had a little bit of silver, I would either turn it in and take the compensation,
[01:41:33.600 --> 01:41:40.600] or I would just store it until I died or until the people got overthrew that type of a system,
[01:41:40.600 --> 01:41:42.600] and we could start using the gold and silver again.
[01:41:42.600 --> 01:41:47.600] But if you try to pass it along to somebody who you think is safe to barter with or trade with,
[01:41:47.600 --> 01:41:49.600] they might have good intentions of being safe,
[01:41:49.600 --> 01:41:53.600] but if they get in trouble, they may turn you in.
[01:41:53.600 --> 01:41:54.600] This is true.
[01:41:54.600 --> 01:41:58.600] Or even if it's not someone that you knew, it could be someone down the line.
[01:41:58.600 --> 01:41:59.600] Absolutely.
[01:41:59.600 --> 01:42:03.600] So, you know, these are all things that people have to consider,
[01:42:03.600 --> 01:42:09.600] but it still seems to me that it's harder for them to go after the gold and the silver
[01:42:09.600 --> 01:42:12.600] than it is any type of a paper asset.
[01:42:12.600 --> 01:42:14.600] I mean, they can control paper assets easily.
[01:42:14.600 --> 01:42:17.600] You know, they can, you know, I mean, even other countries,
[01:42:17.600 --> 01:42:20.600] they rob from the pension funds as soon as the government needs.
[01:42:20.600 --> 01:42:24.600] The government will cannibalize the people to keep itself running, period.
[01:42:24.600 --> 01:42:27.600] And they go after the easiest things first.
[01:42:27.600 --> 01:42:30.600] And the easiest things to go after are the paper assets,
[01:42:30.600 --> 01:42:34.600] because they're all accounted for if somebody is on somebody's bookkeeping
[01:42:34.600 --> 01:42:36.600] or it's in a bank record.
[01:42:36.600 --> 01:42:40.600] So they'll cannibalize the paper assets first.
[01:42:40.600 --> 01:42:44.600] So, you know, think about what are the things, and I mean, even property,
[01:42:44.600 --> 01:42:46.600] even if you have sustainable property,
[01:42:46.600 --> 01:42:49.600] they can come on your property and tell you you can't use the water,
[01:42:49.600 --> 01:42:51.600] or you can't do this, or, you know, they'll say,
[01:42:51.600 --> 01:42:53.600] you've got an endangered lizard on your property,
[01:42:53.600 --> 01:42:55.600] and so we're not going to let you do anything with it,
[01:42:55.600 --> 01:42:56.600] and devalue your property.
[01:42:56.600 --> 01:43:03.600] I mean, you know, so what it all boils down to is how much abuse will people tolerate?
[01:43:03.600 --> 01:43:06.600] And the government will always find out, because they'll push you
[01:43:06.600 --> 01:43:08.600] to what you can't tolerate anymore.
[01:43:08.600 --> 01:43:12.600] They'll just keep going and going and taking from you and plundering from you
[01:43:12.600 --> 01:43:15.600] and stealing from you and doing everything they can
[01:43:15.600 --> 01:43:21.600] until they find out the level that the people can't tolerate anymore.
[01:43:21.600 --> 01:43:25.600] Exactly, and most people that collect silver
[01:43:25.600 --> 01:43:28.600] are probably going to put up a big fight about turning it in
[01:43:28.600 --> 01:43:30.600] if they ever have to turn it in.
[01:43:30.600 --> 01:43:31.600] I would imagine. I would imagine.
[01:43:31.600 --> 01:43:34.600] All right, Bill, would you stay with us just for one final segment
[01:43:34.600 --> 01:43:36.600] to just kind of wrap up to the top of the hour with us?
[01:43:36.600 --> 01:43:37.600] Sure.
[01:43:36.600 --> 01:43:37.600] Okay, great.
[01:43:37.600 --> 01:43:40.600] Folks, listen, we've got one more segment with Dr. Bill Veith.

[01:43:48.600 --> 01:43:51.600] and the discussion of currency and silver and fiat currency.
[01:43:51.600 --> 01:43:53.600] We'd like to call in to ask us a question.

[01:46:00.600 --> 01:46:29.600] Okay, folks.
[01:46:29.600 --> 01:46:30.600] We are back.
[01:46:30.600 --> 01:46:33.600] We've got one final segment with Dr. Bill Veith,
[01:46:33.600 --> 01:46:39.600] and I just wanted to make one more comment concerning answering
[01:46:39.600 --> 01:46:43.600] this caller's question about what did Bernard von Nauthaus say in his defense.
[01:46:43.600 --> 01:46:45.600] Like I said, I read the list of exhibits.
[01:46:45.600 --> 01:46:50.600] That's the only documentation that's available currently concerning his defense.
[01:46:50.600 --> 01:46:52.600] The transcripts are not available of the trial yet,
[01:46:52.600 --> 01:46:55.600] and they won't be for another 90 days.
[01:46:55.600 --> 01:46:57.600] Some of it may be sealed, some of it may be not.
[01:46:57.600 --> 01:46:59.600] We don't know.
[01:46:59.600 --> 01:47:01.600] Hopefully none of it will be sealed because courts are supposed to be public.
[01:47:01.600 --> 01:47:03.600] Anyone could have attended the trial.
[01:47:03.600 --> 01:47:07.600] So I just don't see how any of the transcripts of the trial could be sealed.
[01:47:07.600 --> 01:47:09.600] Some of the documents are sealed.
[01:47:09.600 --> 01:47:17.600] The only other document on PACER concerning Bernard's defense has to do with a witness list,
[01:47:17.600 --> 01:47:20.600] a list of witnesses that he wanted to call in his favor,
[01:47:20.600 --> 01:47:24.600] and that list is sealed to protect the participants.
[01:47:24.600 --> 01:47:27.600] And so I have no information on that.
[01:47:27.600 --> 01:47:33.600] And I believe it's pretty common to have witness lists sealed prior to the trial.
[01:47:33.600 --> 01:47:35.600] So that's all the information I have.
[01:47:35.600 --> 01:47:39.600] We will keep you posted more on what Bernard actually said in his defense,
[01:47:39.600 --> 01:47:43.600] but looking at the exhibit list, doesn't look too good to me, all right,
[01:47:43.600 --> 01:47:47.600] because his exhibits really didn't have anything to do with what he was being charged with.
[01:47:47.600 --> 01:47:49.600] So at any rate, we're getting back to Dr. Bill Veith.
[01:47:49.600 --> 01:47:52.600] We have about 10 more minutes with Dr. Veith.
[01:47:52.600 --> 01:47:54.600] So folks, if you'd like to call in and ask a question.
[01:47:54.600 --> 01:47:58.600] Right now we're discussing the possibility, hopefully not the probability,
[01:47:58.600 --> 01:48:04.600] that the government or governments of the world may attempt to confiscate gold
[01:48:04.600 --> 01:48:09.600] and possibly even silver at this point, somewhere in the near future.
[01:48:09.600 --> 01:48:18.600] And Dr. Veith, you were saying that this is not necessarily gloom and doom and bad news for the bullion dealers.
[01:48:18.600 --> 01:48:19.600] Not at all.
[01:48:19.600 --> 01:48:22.600] This is specifically directed at Chad and Becky.
[01:48:22.600 --> 01:48:24.600] I hope they're not out there shaking and everybody's saying, oh, no,
[01:48:24.600 --> 01:48:30.600] because actually, Bill, you said that this isn't necessarily a bad thing for the coin dealers.
[01:48:30.600 --> 01:48:32.600] So can you please explain?
[01:48:32.600 --> 01:48:33.600] Yeah, no, not at all.
[01:48:33.600 --> 01:48:36.600] You know, I just feel an obligation when I'm talking to people
[01:48:36.600 --> 01:48:40.600] to let them know what potential risks there are in anything they do.
[01:48:40.600 --> 01:48:46.600] They can make their own decisions as to the probability or the improbability of an event occurring,
[01:48:46.600 --> 01:48:48.600] but there's always that possibility.
[01:48:48.600 --> 01:48:49.600] We have done it in the past.
[01:48:49.600 --> 01:48:53.600] Now, if they do that, I mean, they could do it with any property you own.
[01:48:53.600 --> 01:48:55.600] They could say, you greedy food hoarders.
[01:48:55.600 --> 01:48:57.600] You're hoarding food while other people are starving.
[01:48:57.600 --> 01:48:59.600] We're going to come get your food.
[01:48:59.600 --> 01:49:01.600] We're going to make it illegal for you to store this much food.
[01:49:01.600 --> 01:49:03.600] They can come get your property.
[01:49:03.600 --> 01:49:07.600] They can say, you know, you've got this property and you've got this well water,
[01:49:07.600 --> 01:49:08.600] and we've got people that need the water.
[01:49:08.600 --> 01:49:10.600] We're going to take it and redistribute it.
[01:49:10.600 --> 01:49:12.600] So, you know, it's not just gold and silver.
[01:49:12.600 --> 01:49:15.600] They could do it with anything if it got to that point.
[01:49:15.600 --> 01:49:21.600] So the point is, if you want to store wealth, again, if you look at, not my opinion,
[01:49:21.600 --> 01:49:26.600] look at history, what are the best things that hold value that are pretty much indestructible
[01:49:26.600 --> 01:49:31.600] and that are portable and have all the properties of a storage of wealth and silver,
[01:49:31.600 --> 01:49:34.600] and you keep going back to silver and gold for 6,000 years.
[01:49:34.600 --> 01:49:40.600] So knowing all this, that the possibility of gold and silver being confiscated or controlled,
[01:49:40.600 --> 01:49:44.600] knowing that, I'd still rather have gold and silver than anything I can think of
[01:49:44.600 --> 01:49:47.600] because everything else is easier to confiscate.
[01:49:47.600 --> 01:49:48.600] Right.
[01:49:48.600 --> 01:49:53.600] And you were telling me on the break that even concerning if they wanted to confiscate these metals,
[01:49:53.600 --> 01:49:58.600] that they much rather want the metal than they want to put you in jail because...
[01:49:58.600 --> 01:49:59.600] Right.
[01:49:59.600 --> 01:50:01.600] So there would probably be other amnesty periods.
[01:50:01.600 --> 01:50:06.600] You know, when they squeeze all the metal they can get out of people, and maybe it's not much,
[01:50:06.600 --> 01:50:10.600] then all of a sudden, you know, maybe a year later, oh, here's another amnesty period.
[01:50:10.600 --> 01:50:11.600] Turn it in now.
[01:50:11.600 --> 01:50:12.600] We won't come after you.
[01:50:12.600 --> 01:50:16.600] So they'll keep giving you repeated amnesty periods because they'd much rather have your gold
[01:50:16.600 --> 01:50:18.600] and silver than they would have you in jail.
[01:50:18.600 --> 01:50:20.600] It costs money to put you in prison.
[01:50:20.600 --> 01:50:21.600] They don't want to spend money on you.
[01:50:21.600 --> 01:50:23.600] They want your gold and silver.
[01:50:23.600 --> 01:50:28.600] So, you know, but they may not be successful just because this is their plan
[01:50:28.600 --> 01:50:29.600] and they've done it in the past.
[01:50:29.600 --> 01:50:31.600] It's a whole different world now.
[01:50:31.600 --> 01:50:34.600] Back when they did it in 1933, nobody knew what the deal was.
[01:50:34.600 --> 01:50:35.600] There was no Internet.
[01:50:35.600 --> 01:50:37.600] There wasn't shows like this.
[01:50:37.600 --> 01:50:39.600] People were naive.
[01:50:39.600 --> 01:50:41.600] That's not the case anymore.
[01:50:41.600 --> 01:50:45.600] There are tens of millions of people in this country and hundreds of millions all over the world
[01:50:45.600 --> 01:50:47.600] that know what the deal is now.
[01:50:47.600 --> 01:50:52.600] And there may be a lot of people, even with power, that have gold and silver,
[01:50:52.600 --> 01:50:54.600] and they're not turning in their stuff either.
[01:50:54.600 --> 01:50:59.600] So just because it's their plan or they try to do it doesn't mean it would even be successful.
[01:50:59.600 --> 01:51:04.600] And I think the more gold and silver that are out there that are in the more hands of different people,
[01:51:04.600 --> 01:51:08.600] the harder a time they'll ever have doing this stuff to us.
[01:51:08.600 --> 01:51:10.600] Yeah, and Bill, it's absolutely true.
[01:51:10.600 --> 01:51:14.600] And no government in the world has ever confiscated silver.
[01:51:14.600 --> 01:51:18.600] And you were telling me the other night, in something like over 30 languages,
[01:51:18.600 --> 01:51:21.600] the word for silver and the word for money is the same thing.
[01:51:21.600 --> 01:51:25.600] So the likelihood of them actually wanting to confiscate silver is pretty low,
[01:51:25.600 --> 01:51:27.600] especially because it has so many industrial uses.
[01:51:27.600 --> 01:51:28.600] Right.
[01:51:28.600 --> 01:51:32.600] Well, in 1934 in this country, they did put in a silver confiscation act.
[01:51:32.600 --> 01:51:33.600] It's not well known.
[01:51:33.600 --> 01:51:34.600] Oh, my goodness.
[01:51:34.600 --> 01:51:35.600] I've read it, yeah.
[01:51:35.600 --> 01:51:37.600] I don't think they were very successful with it.
[01:51:37.600 --> 01:51:42.600] The part I'm confused about is that they continued to put silver in our coinage,
[01:51:42.600 --> 01:51:50.600] our quarters and dimes and half dollars and silver, not silver dollars, up until 1964.
[01:51:50.600 --> 01:52:00.600] So they didn't really stop putting silver in our hands until 1965.
[01:52:00.600 --> 01:52:05.600] But they didn't confiscate it in the same way they did gold.
[01:52:05.600 --> 01:52:11.600] And I don't know in other countries if they confiscated silver or not,
[01:52:11.600 --> 01:52:14.600] but they certainly have in other countries I know have confiscated gold.
[01:52:14.600 --> 01:52:18.600] And in this country, they made a big confiscation of gold in 1933,
[01:52:18.600 --> 01:52:22.600] where you weren't even allowed to put a gold clause in a contract.
[01:52:22.600 --> 01:52:25.600] Well, and that certainly infringes on the Constitution,
[01:52:25.600 --> 01:52:28.600] where they cannot infringe on private contracts.
[01:52:28.600 --> 01:52:29.600] Everything they do, it fringes on.
[01:52:29.600 --> 01:52:31.600] I mean, we're not under the Constitution anymore.
[01:52:31.600 --> 01:52:37.600] When we went into 1933 and we went into legal tender outside of lawful tender,
[01:52:37.600 --> 01:52:39.600] we have a whole different system of laws.
[01:52:39.600 --> 01:52:41.600] That's what Harmon Taylor says.
[01:52:41.600 --> 01:52:44.600] And folks, you can go back and listen to that interview.
[01:52:44.600 --> 01:52:45.600] That's what Harmon says.
[01:52:45.600 --> 01:52:50.600] And I really don't see them confiscating silver because it just has too many industrial uses.
[01:52:50.600 --> 01:52:52.600] And more and more every day.
[01:52:52.600 --> 01:52:56.600] It's used in literally tens of thousands of applications.
[01:52:56.600 --> 01:52:57.600] I mean, what are they going to do?
[01:52:57.600 --> 01:53:02.600] You have to be a specially approved industry or manufacturer, private entity.
[01:53:02.600 --> 01:53:03.600] I just don't see it happening.
[01:53:03.600 --> 01:53:07.600] I think if they tried to do it with silver, it would be very, very difficult.
[01:53:07.600 --> 01:53:09.600] I don't think they would be successful.
[01:53:09.600 --> 01:53:10.600] I don't think so either.
[01:53:10.600 --> 01:53:11.600] Okay.
[01:53:11.600 --> 01:53:12.600] We've got about five minutes left.
[01:53:12.600 --> 01:53:14.600] We've got a caller, Jim, in Texas.
[01:53:14.600 --> 01:53:17.600] Jim, you have a quick comment on confiscation.
[01:53:17.600 --> 01:53:18.600] Yeah.
[01:53:18.600 --> 01:53:25.600] Do you appreciate or take advantage of other methods of holding nonsysical gold,
[01:53:25.600 --> 01:53:30.600] like SLAs, SLVs, I mean, ETFs, exchange traded funds?
[01:53:30.600 --> 01:53:31.600] No, not at all.
[01:53:31.600 --> 01:53:33.600] Because you don't own the gold or silver.
[01:53:33.600 --> 01:53:36.600] You own a piece of paper promising you that.
[01:53:36.600 --> 01:53:41.600] And all these promises are going to get defaulted on when the currency implodes.
[01:53:41.600 --> 01:53:43.600] Now, it's got to be physical.
[01:53:43.600 --> 01:53:47.600] And it's got to be where you know it's being stored, where you can put your hands on it.
[01:53:47.600 --> 01:53:50.600] I wouldn't even put it in a safe deposit box in a bank.
[01:53:50.600 --> 01:53:55.600] Very, you know, find a safe storage somewhere that you and maybe one other person know about
[01:53:55.600 --> 01:54:00.600] or maybe nobody else knows about and take physical possession.
[01:54:00.600 --> 01:54:07.600] A piece of paper, I don't care whether it's a Federal Reserve note, a stock, a bond, an SLV,
[01:54:07.600 --> 01:54:09.600] a piece of paper is worth nothing.
[01:54:09.600 --> 01:54:11.600] It is a promise to pay you something of value.
[01:54:11.600 --> 01:54:13.600] It is not the thing of value itself.
[01:54:13.600 --> 01:54:18.600] And, you know, when all these currencies start to implode,
[01:54:18.600 --> 01:54:22.600] all these paper promises start to be defaulted on.
[01:54:22.600 --> 01:54:26.600] Do you think that includes the silver pool at Kitco?
[01:54:26.600 --> 01:54:28.600] What is the silver pool?
[01:54:28.600 --> 01:54:29.600] What do you get?
[01:54:29.600 --> 01:54:30.600] Do you get a piece of paper?
[01:54:30.600 --> 01:54:32.600] Yeah, you get a receipt, exactly.
[01:54:32.600 --> 01:54:33.600] Yeah, there's a receipt.
[01:54:33.600 --> 01:54:35.600] So that's not the silver, the gold.
[01:54:35.600 --> 01:54:37.600] That's just a promise to give you that.
[01:54:37.600 --> 01:54:38.600] And you may get it and you may not.
[01:54:38.600 --> 01:54:42.600] But if I were going to pay for it, I'd want to have it.
[01:54:42.600 --> 01:54:43.600] I want to have the real stuff.
[01:54:43.600 --> 01:54:47.600] I don't want the paper promising me to give it to me at some point in the future
[01:54:47.600 --> 01:54:51.600] because they may not even be able to honor the obligation.
[01:54:51.600 --> 01:54:53.600] Somebody could steal it from them.
[01:54:53.600 --> 01:54:55.600] The government could take it from them wherever it's stored.
[01:54:55.600 --> 01:54:57.600] And even if they want it to pay you, they can't.
[01:54:57.600 --> 01:55:02.600] Or what if their promise to give it to you is based on someone else's promise to give it to them?
[01:55:02.600 --> 01:55:03.600] Give it to them.
[01:55:03.600 --> 01:55:04.600] Right, right.
[01:55:04.600 --> 01:55:08.600] No, just remember, a piece of paper is worthless.
[01:55:08.600 --> 01:55:13.600] It's only as good as the person that can honor the promise.
[01:55:13.600 --> 01:55:18.600] And all these promises are going to get defaulted on when we have a currency collapse.
[01:55:18.600 --> 01:55:22.600] And do you have feelings regarding holding gold,
[01:55:22.600 --> 01:55:27.600] whether it should be tenth of ounce or half ounce for liquidity's sake?
[01:55:27.600 --> 01:55:32.600] No, I think different denominations of it are good.
[01:55:32.600 --> 01:55:39.600] Probably in gold, one ounce and smaller is pretty good because it makes it a little more liquid.
[01:55:39.600 --> 01:55:45.600] If you hold a hundred-ounce bar, it's a little harder to transact any type of even barter.
[01:55:45.600 --> 01:55:46.600] Same with silver.
[01:55:46.600 --> 01:55:52.600] I mean, with silver, I suggest people get some junk silver, which is not junk at all.
[01:55:52.600 --> 01:55:59.600] It's our lawful money from prior to 1965 where you get quarters, dimes, nickels, half dollars.
[01:55:59.600 --> 01:56:02.600] The silver dollars are always good, the piece dollars.
[01:56:02.600 --> 01:56:04.600] You can get one-ounce silver rounds.
[01:56:04.600 --> 01:56:07.600] You can buy one-ounce silver eagles.
[01:56:07.600 --> 01:56:10.600] Our United States Mint still mints one-ounce silver eagles.
[01:56:10.600 --> 01:56:14.600] You can buy a ten-ounce bar or a hundred-ounce bar.
[01:56:14.600 --> 01:56:19.600] You can have the silver in different denominations for different uses.
[01:56:19.600 --> 01:56:21.600] You can even get capital coin and bullion rounds now.
[01:56:21.600 --> 01:56:22.600] Absolutely.
[01:56:22.600 --> 01:56:23.600] Go to capital coin and bullion.
[01:56:23.600 --> 01:56:24.600] I have not been there.
[01:56:24.600 --> 01:56:28.600] I'm going to go there one of these days soon now that I know about them.
[01:56:28.600 --> 01:56:32.600] But I'm sure they can fill you in on all the different types of gold and silver that they've got.
[01:56:32.600 --> 01:56:38.600] I understand that gold and silver eagles are required to be reported to the government.
[01:56:38.600 --> 01:56:41.600] I don't think gold and silver eagles are.
[01:56:41.600 --> 01:56:43.600] I don't think that's true.
[01:56:43.600 --> 01:56:45.600] Have you seen that written somewhere?
[01:56:45.600 --> 01:56:47.600] I was told that...
[01:56:47.600 --> 01:56:56.600] What do you mean reported to transact business in it?
[01:56:56.600 --> 01:57:03.600] I mean if a large number are sold back to a dealer because they're eagles, whether gold or silver,
[01:57:03.600 --> 01:57:06.600] the dealer doesn't require to report that sale to the government.
[01:57:06.600 --> 01:57:07.600] I haven't heard of that law.
[01:57:07.600 --> 01:57:09.600] I don't think that's true.
[01:57:09.600 --> 01:57:14.600] But I think if you make a profit off of them in Federal Reserve notes,
[01:57:14.600 --> 01:57:18.600] then obviously you would be required, if you follow the IRS laws,
[01:57:18.600 --> 01:57:22.600] you would be required to report that profit on your tax return.
[01:57:22.600 --> 01:57:30.600] I don't think that you're required to report anything but a profit.
[01:57:30.600 --> 01:57:32.600] You may want to call Chad a capital coin.
[01:57:32.600 --> 01:57:33.600] I'm sure he would know.
[01:57:33.600 --> 01:57:37.600] Yeah, he'll probably know that stuff better than me.
[01:57:37.600 --> 01:57:43.600] Most of the people I know have never sold an ounce of their gold and silver, their collectors.
[01:57:43.600 --> 01:57:47.600] They're going to be considered those evil hoarders, those greedy hoarders,
[01:57:47.600 --> 01:57:50.600] because they want to accumulate ounces.
[01:57:50.600 --> 01:57:52.600] They don't want to sell it.
[01:57:52.600 --> 01:57:55.600] And maybe at some point they'll want to sell it.
[01:57:55.600 --> 01:57:57.600] But most of the people I know just accumulate, accumulate, accumulate.
[01:57:57.600 --> 01:58:02.600] Every time they have a little extra 10 bucks or 20 bucks, they go buy another ounce of silver.
[01:58:02.600 --> 01:58:05.600] All right, Jim, thank you for calling in.
[01:58:05.600 --> 01:58:06.600] Thank you.
[01:58:06.600 --> 01:58:07.600] All right.
[01:58:07.600 --> 01:58:10.600] Thank you for hanging on with us for the last two hours, Dr. Vieth.
[01:58:10.600 --> 01:58:12.600] We really, really appreciate it.
[01:58:12.600 --> 01:58:13.600] Well, you're quite welcome.
[01:58:13.600 --> 01:58:14.600] Thanks for having me.
[01:58:14.600 --> 01:58:15.600] I always enjoy it.
[01:58:15.600 --> 01:58:18.600] And you're welcome to come on the show or call and make comments any time.
[01:58:18.600 --> 01:58:20.600] OK, thank you so much.
[01:58:20.600 --> 01:58:26.600] All right, folks, we are at the midway point of our four-hour Friday Info Marathon.
